Wow, I REALLY like that disc for Revenge of the Sith! I did not expect them to go with a silent poetic shot of Anakin and Obi Wan conversing. I like that a lot.
thats a pretty cool set to have. i wish they would release the original theatrical versions of (Star Wars) (The Empire Strikes Back) (Return of the Jedi) on blu-ray.
Christopher Davies but it has nothing to do! because maybe some people do not have the Star Wars in Blu-ray or maybe some collectors only collect Blu-ray alone and there are surely many other reasons so your comment is nothing to have.
Reel Classic Film Reviews I’m right there with yuh man! I fully anticipate that Disney will start releasing select Star Wars movies in 4k here and there like they just finished doing with all the MCU movies.

I love these rereleases!!! My only gripe is that the newer Disney movies no longer have the bonus discs that come with them, and it is a shame that there aren't 4K restorations of all the films since The Last Jedi and Solo are released in 4K, but these are great releases and I'll see myself picking them up soon!!
Well, the new 4K releases and the Complete Saga box set include the bonus discs. If you bought the separate Blu Rays, the bonus features are available on Movies Anywhere and you can watch them if you redeemed your digital code. Hope this info helped 👌
@@JobelMT it did, though I actually knew for quite some time. Unfortunately this comment was before the 4k releases were announced, but I own all episodes except for 1 2 and Solo, and most of them look really good in 4K!!
Bought all these a couple weeks ago my favorite covers are 1. Revenge Of The Sith 2. A New Hope 3. The Last Jedi I love The Last Jedi cover than the original Blu Ray release
I think the covers look better than the ones we've seen in the past for these films (especially in TLJ and Solo's case, never liked how they missed the opportunity to use the more badass theatrical posters for the covers), I just wish they had more going on in terms of special features
Been buying the DVD versions, absolutely love the cover art, but the lack bonus features sucks. Do we know if Rise of skywalker will be released with these cover formats?
I really don't get why people would buy a release like this. I love them and I think the artwork is great and it's nice to finally have all the films match one another but why but a series just before the final movie comes out. If you're just buying it to catch up then fine but if you're starting your collection or you want all of them to look the same, it doesn't make sense. The last one is going to have its own artwork that doesn't match and then they'll release another collection with everything in it soon after. Just look at the numerous Fast and Furious re-releases
I was thinking the same thing. Disney isn't going to release a version of ep 9 that matches, so people who bought this are going to end up having to buy a completely new set after ep 9 comes out.
@@TheEvilDead1983 You don't know that, it hasn't been released yet. They'll probably release TROS with the same cover to match these. It'd be dick move if they didn't... But they might!

Danbo 22 I love uniformity and I hate that I have the prequels on dvd, the OT trilogy set, TFA, Solo, and RO on their original blu ray set, and the TLJ on that big target exclusive set because it was the only one that offered a dvd
Marcus Ward Actually they can’t... when they bought Lucasfilm George Lucas specifically mentioned in the buying contract that he still owns the rights to the original theatrical cuts of the movie... so they would have to ask him first!
Yup they gonna make a whole new set of matching covers and then “collectors” will have to buy it all over again just to have the matching covers LOL. I refuse. I’m waiting for the 4K/blu ray collection that’s coming out later.
I just fear they wont go with the same kind off artwork style on Episode IX and the Obi Wan movie. I bought the steelbook blu rays for the prequel and original trilogies. Then episodes VII and VIII as well as Solo and Rogue One came out on steelbook too but they did not match at all... Hopefully they will release a complete box set with only the episodes 1-9. And then you could buy the Star Wars stories seperate or maybe in some kind of box set too. Don’t know, I think it will be smart to wait and see when all movies are released. If (as me) you would care for them to match up on the shelf.. Great video. Thanks

I'd re-buy all these movies with the consistency of the artwork if it was confirmed I'd be able to get The Rise Of Skywalker with the same artwork variant. I have the OT and the PT on DVD only with the OT being in that beautiful silver boxset that was released back when the PT was happening. Unfortunately, the Disney films went their own way so I've been attempting to get similar looking art (that being the artwork that features a collage of characters but because they weren't consistent, my force awakes slip just says Star Wars The Force Awakens with the actually case art being the collage. Then the Last Jedi art had a bunch of that "What anywhere" tags on the bottom that seem to be common on the Disney releases of any blu-rays so I ended up buying the steelbook of TLJ because it was the closest to the DVD covers. Once TROS comes out, I'll see what they do with the artwork and that'll dictate whether or not I replace my collection.

Those are really nice covers! I only have the prequel trilogy on dvd but I'm looking to replace them on Blu Ray. A couple questions first though. Do these have special features on them? I was looking and I didn't c any on the cover. Another question is when the rise of Skywalker comes out on Blu Ray do you think that it will look the same as these? Because I want all of mine to match like these do

Got to see everything I was curious about. :)
Hey, do you own a scanner or a phone with a good enough camera to use an app like CamScanner? I'd really appreciate scans of these new covers for /r/plexposters on Reddit. Cheers.
Because I want all of mine to match like these do
Hopefully it matches. I have a fear it won’t though. And no special features. Just the films. I’m assuming they are saving features for the 4K releases in 2020.
Does anyone know what versions of these films TBS network broadcast, are they the 1997, 2004 or 2011?
I'm pretty sure that it is the 2011 editions
Will the cover of "Rise of Skywalker" be the same and does anyone know when it will be released?
are the ANH, ESB, and ROTJ the original theatrical releases or are they the ones with all the changes?
Special editions
Do u think they will do a slip release like this for the 4K version?
I’m Waiting On The 4K Releases!
