Mazda has a nice distinctive design. Not overly fussy and front and back lighting is cool. You nicely point out features common on $$$ cars. Great review Drew and Mason.
Fantastic review and happy Friday! Sat inside a 23 Venza XLE earlier today and was extremely impressed, tons and tons of rear seat space, way more than I would’ve expected for a two row suv.
Mazad is petty common in different car companies. The prices rise every year when they make new ones. PERFORMANCE FROM THE GROUND UP. The new Mazda CX-90 was crafted to create a connection between driver, passenger, and every journey shared. A 3-row SUV designer with precision to elevate every moment together.Although it is less expensive to maintain a Toyota, both Toyota and Mazda have lower repair and maintenance costs. Toyota sells more cars than Mazda, yet Mazda vehicles are overlooked for their dependability. Additionally, Mazda easily beats Toyota in terms of dependability, fuel efficiency, and build quality.
Great color with the carbon trim. Interior is above average but still lacking a bit especially in terms of the gauge cluster. That being said, Mazda is the only company out there who truly competes with KIA/Hyundai in producing attractive vehicles inside and out,
If you're looking to make a comparison with last year's model (2023), it would be beneficial to bring that one along next time. This approach allows the audience to clearly see the changes and differences between the models. Additionally, including both models in your video would enhance its professionalism and comprehensiveness.
I'm not really a car person... but I'm confused why if youre paying that price for something like the carbon edition how it doesnt come with the Bose speakers? seems off to me.
Mazda fan here but there is one thing that irritates me about this car is lack of heated seats and usb c ports in the rear seats 🤯 that is just hard for me to process for 2024
Anyone have concerns about the rear straight bar suspension. I am nearing the end of my cx5 lease and considering going into a cx30 but it doesn’t have the independent rear suspension like the cx5. Also a little concerned about it being manufactured in Mexico vs Japan. I’m purchasing a Japanese vehicle. I’d like it to be manufactured in Japan. Concerned a little little bit about lower labor cost resulting in lower quality manufacturing. Looking for peoples thoughts on this.
I hate that they dont offer those terracotta seats on the darker body color. I wanted this cx30 and it was on top of my list but i just hate that sand color. BMW X2 it is for me i guess...
@@CarConfections , sorry, I meant I love the green color and the brown accents in the interior. It's a lovely combination! But I'm not a fan of turbo due to reliability concerns.
@@solderbuffare you saying your concerned that turbo would put too much stress on the trans, I’m curious but don’t understand your comment being new to new cars and the variations.
@@guitarplayer4429 , just Google "why turbo engines are bad". From my own experience, my father used to own a turbocharged VW and that engine often had problems with the turbocharger specifically.
I mean not particularly. The base engine performs pretty much in line with the HRV, Kona, corolla cross non hybrid, etc. And those cars all have significantly less inspiring engines
I know, I'm seeing that, yet, they are as reliable in most cases than many Toyotas and Hondas. About to get a used 2023 cx30 for my mom and been test driving these and they are nice.
My daughter has one of these and I fell in love with it until I rode in it yesterday. I felt very claustrophobic with the tall doors, small windows and the dashboard was so high that I thought I'd get decapitated if we hit a pothole. Next time we're taking my car which is a 23 Forester Wilderness. 😅
@@ELP1125 actually they are very bright and very visible, especially at night . Vehicles with the turn signals mounted with the headlights are actually very hard to see when the turn signals are on in a lot a situations. Some Vehicles are now actually turning off the headlight when the turn signal is on. This is not safe either. It is way more visible when mounted away from the headlights.
@ well I can you from experience those thin turn signals near the bumper aren't safe. I've seen multiple Mazdas with those turn signals and I didn't even know they were signaling when viewed from the front. Also the rear turn signals are still within the tailights and are much easier to see.

Thats an exaggeration. Nothing looks particularly old about the tech its just a preference. The dial controller infotainment screen is the much more elegant while touchscreens are the more user friendly. All of it can be adjusted to in no time and after a month of ownership you won't even be thinking about it
Been looking into these "cheap" vehicles for weeks now. I've learned that these are basically "Have to" not "Want to" vehicles. Im trading in my BADASS 2018 Chrysler 300s for one these "econo-boxes" with useless sensors, terrible transmissions and a lawnmower engine because i HAVE to...lost my job, now i drive for Lyft and Uber and I need a cheap car that i don't really give a shit about it.
I love these things- but I don't like when they call it a specific something and then LIMIT the colors I can get to this butt ugly baby puke greenish whatever it is.. I DO love these cars- and wish they'd just make it possible to get ANY trim in ANY color-- period..
OH- I can see they have ROUNDERD the small lines that were there. Wish they hadn't done that... it WAS a perfect design-- but rounding it off and putting baby puke paint on it is NOT a good change.. SCREW the carbon shit if that's the only color you can get.. BUT - I don't want the 2024 anyway since they "rounded it off " too much- the GREAT lines look GONE to me and it just looks FAT and round now-- NOT GOOD.

Thank you!
Wish they offfered the Bose system on the carbon trim.
Same
The make you choose either the engine or the audio.
You don’t get both from my understanding unless you choose the turbo premium plus
The carbon turbo trims easily have the nicest interior.
Awesome review! It's so refreshing to see car review channels without the gimmicks and clickbait.
Thanks so much! We always try to keep it real and be as useful as possible
The brown of the seats should of been on the dash.i think that would of gave it a even more upscale feel instead of all black
I agree! Imagine the swade in brown matching the seats instead of black 😭
I love my 2022 Cx-30 Premium plus! Such a fun car to drive and just enjoy day to day!
Fantastic review and happy Friday! Sat inside a 23 Venza XLE earlier today and was extremely impressed, tons and tons of rear seat space, way more than I would’ve expected for a two row suv.
Thanks! Yeah the Venza is like a Lexus with Toyota branding in many ways
I live in Lexington and stopped by Paul miller this morning to look at one of these and now I see this video lmao nice
4:32 gloss black? Are you serious lol. It would get destroyed during ownership. Micro scratches all over it
Great review guys! Love this trim and color
We do use our turn signals LOL
We can make that joke now that we have a BMW 😂
This is hilarious 😂

For a daily driver, would you go with this or the Honda Civic Sport Touring?
This one handles winter conditions better imo

I LOVEEEEEEEE CX-30 interior. It's soooo nice.
I hope they finally added heated mirrors, my only complaint on my 2020!
Need a hybrid option. The tank at 40L is too small for the size of the car. Range isn't great as a result.
You can just barely squeeze 400 miles out of it at 75mph on flat ground. Otherwise you’re getting gas every 300 or less.
Nice review .. question: Can that annoying start-up dinging be turned off?

Yea I agree
Someday, I will buy new 2024 Mazda CX-30.
I love this color and the seats look awesome
Those prices are getting close to CX-5 prices!! Which is a better SUV!!! RIDICULOUS
This (Carbon Turbo) or Kona N-Line? Haven’t test driven either yet but I’m in the market now.
The Mazda will be the better driving model but the Kona will feel more spacious. Those are the main items we think of in comparison
@@CarConfections thanks man. There’s a Corolla Cross Hybrid on the lot w the Kona, so I’m gonna add that to the options. Plan to test drive this week.
Don´t know about the Zircon Sand color....it got something...don´t know if it´s cool, nice, beautiful or not !?!?!?
Mazda sure has some great design-engineers……..the Tail end view looks very similar to the Alfa Stelvio……..
Another great review,I'm stuck between the Mazda CX5 and Subaru Forester please help.regards
Thanks! The biggest differentiator is performance (cx-5) vs. space (Forester), so reflect on which one of those is most important to you
Resale value goes to subaru. Mazda has lower interest rate financing. Coming from a 2024 cx5 turbo owner - car is fun.
I love this model 🏆
Does it have ventilated seats ?
It looks alright, I like the color!!!
will you be my youtube boyfriend?

The Bose used to be in the carbon. My daughters 22 carbon cx 5 has it
The cx30 removed bose for some reason. They said it was due to shortage but that is now a cop out.

My CX-5 has ports in the back .

suggestion: don't put a huge honking block overlay and text over the only exterior footage of the vehicle driving!
the sticker that warns you to not roll the window down 🤣
It had just came out of getting it's windows tinted
Insane Mazda dudes.
Mazda really missed the ball by offering a metric ton of trim levels but no hybrid. Their gas mileage is severely behind the competition.
Due to 6 speed, if it was 8 mpg would be much better

The Mazda3 Turbo is equivalent to the GR Corolla. If GR Corolla is too expensive, Mazda3 Turbo is available for you.
Those turn signals at the front are ridiculous 😂
Actually it should be mandatory to have the turn signals mounted away from the headlights. It is way easier to see them that way.

Why is the CX-30 assembled in Mexico?
Malaysia please
They need to go with a touchscreen.
When using apple car play or android auto it's touch screen
