Just what I was looking for, great. One thing that I did with mine was leave out the ring and just used the loop in the first letter to put the keyring through. Thaks
Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure out how to add the outer layer and been trying so many different programs to do it and Tinkercad had it built in You are a life saver!
Glad I could help! I actually posted another video but it was much harder to get on OK result. However, I posted that original video to a Facebook 3D printing group and someone in the group told me about the short cut. I mentioned it in the video but I just couldn't believe how much easier it is doing it this way. I just have to give this guy credit.
I made another tutorial where I was working so hard to get the outside layer just right by manually adding shapes. Luckily, that guy from my group showed me that short cut that made it much faster.
Thank you very much! I am so glad I found this channel very educational! I wanted to make keychains and name tags and had no idea how to start but with this video I’ve made many! I went from saying I can’t do that to I’ll give it a try and sometimes succeeding! Thank you again!
Oh my God... this video is so good! Thank you. And also, can you PLEASE teach me how to make videos like this? Your AI guy with voice is really wonderful!
Thank you. I use Adobe Character Animate. It essentially copies my movements and then syncs the mouth to the recorded audio. It's super easy once you have it all set it.
@Teaching3DPrinting like when I do it in Google drawings It wouldn't the name is Kristina. My mom wants a new name tag for her backpack when she goes to work.
Question. When choosing the option of saving the file type in Google as jpg. Why not just choose svg which would cut out the converting process. Would that work?
I’m sorry. I just watched my video to see where I talk about fill mode and I don’t see it. Would mind pointing me to the part of the video you’re referencing?
You have to do a layer pause and switch filament at a certain height depending on the height at which the outline stops. You can find plenty of videos on how to do it on your slicer.
When you export, change settings... STL binary, high refinement... also change slicer to Arachne wall generator... makes for perfect prints..
Thank you. I'll have to try that.

Great tip! I hadn’t thought of that. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this! I have spent several days trying to teach myself how to do this. It's exactly what I've been looking for. Subscribed.❤

Great tutorial!!! That outer layer is so key, been making it harder on myself until now.

That's very cool. I'm glad this helped.
than you! I've been searching for this for months!
Glad I could help!
great video! I have tag printing now. I was able to skip the online-convert and download it directly to SVG from Drawing.
That's a great idea! I didn't know that was an option. I'll have to check it out now.
I was going to say the same thing. Google Drawings will export as an svg file and it worked great!
Great video. Exactly what I needed.
glad I could help.
The outline options isn’t working .. when I it ctrl D to duplicate.. it just duplicates no setting appears
bro how to print it in two colours, the back side of it or the borders as you made and the upper part in diff colour using ultimaker?
I would pause the print after the color section was done and then change the filament to another color.

What do i do if I'm using a different language? the text box in google drawing produces a black highlight for Japanese for example.
I guess I would do the same steps but when it’s in Tinkercad delete the underline with a hole box over the squiggle
I have the same font but with the name im using the S isnt connect to the letter before or after it so its just floating.
I’ll have to check it out. The second copy that you change to outer doesn’t connect. I thought it would. What’s the name your printing?

It would work but I've found the quality is better in the other app.
WHY WHEN I CHOOSE OUTERLINE MY TEXT WILL BE HALLOW? THANKYOU
Before you choose outline, create a duplicate.
I can’t find the option for the fill mode please help me?
I’m sorry. I just watched my video to see where I talk about fill mode and I don’t see it. Would mind pointing me to the part of the video you’re referencing?
How do I print it was separate Color’s?

For this print, I used a multicolor printer but you can do what @craigcaruana3164 mentions.
wow thank you.
You're welcome! I really enjoyed this.
BRO CAN YOU HELP ME?
Will do
why download as a JPG only to convert to an SVG when you can literally download it as an SVG? 😂
You are correct and I didn't see that as an option until after I made the video.

Was going to highlight that!
