I need to make "blanks" for badge reels and keychains. Instead of buying limited premade ones off Etsy or struggling to cut acrylic sheets out with my Cricut I thought "How can I 3D print the outline of the images I need?" Well, you sir, have answered my question. You made this really easy to follow along with and the websites you suggested are so user friendly. My husband had me try Fusion360 and I instantly got annoyed trying to outline my basic shaped images. Thank you so much.
Thank you for the lesson. Do you, perhaps, have a lesson on making "coasters"? I saw military coasters on makerworld, and would love to learn how to make them in Tinkercad. Thanks again.
I have an A1 Mini and it's fabulous, especially if your student is going to use PLA for their models. It works quickly and efficiently (and has a terrific 4 color AMS Mini unit if they get the A1 Mini Combo). I make smaller items on the A1 Mini and larger items on my P1S. Let me know if you or the sutdent needs any assistance with the printer. And thank you VERY much for the Tinkercad instruction!
Thank you for such a great video. Just got my first 3D printer and wanting to make things like this for the grandchildren. Thanks again, can't wait to see the other video's.
I did some things slightly different from you but thank you so much for this tutorial and helping me find photopea and giving tinkercad another shot. Ive been trying to figure out how people make their colored layer change keychains, logos, etc for a long time and this has to be the best way to do it!
I was more interested in the little guy on the left below talking to me! LOL How did you do that is the lesson I want. Let me look on your channel and see if you have already shared. AND thanks for this. I am just starting with 3D printing and wondered how to get the images in my head into a slicer! Thank you!!!
There's a person who sells avatars. I bought one and then changed it to look more like me. Then I use Adobe Character Animate to make it copy my movements. That's it.
Been after some specific dino feet stencils now i can make moulds for them with this to use in clay 😎😎 will eventually work out how to print them as moulds 😅😅 awesome video thank you!!!!!!
I’ve noticed over the years some students will open the SVG files they just created instead of the original jpeg or png. I think…I think if you do open an SVG and you get that error message, you can change the format of the image so that it will be editable.
When I clicked on the wand it highlighted it with dots just like your example. However, I could only color AROUND the spiderman. Not inside it. It was totally opposite of what your video showed. Weird!!
After you select the outside of the spiderman, you need to go to the menu and click on select. Then select inverse select from the drop down menu. Then you can color it. Let me know if this doesn't work.
Hey, I've got an Elegoo printer with just one color. Can you help me figure out how to set it up so it stops and I can change the filament colors? I'm using Cura right now, but if there's something better, let me know. Thanks! Oh, and by the way, I really liked the video. it was super helpful.
@@Teaching3DPrinting hard to explain haha but its like different parts to make one thing and they are all connected together. think of a square qith like 10 parts inside of it all connected with lines and u cut the parts off and assemble the piece

Did you just show everyone how to steal images from Etsy? It looked like the file you saved was for sale on Etsy for $2, you may want to edit your video and cut that part out.
I found this image on several websites and by different “creators”. However, I went on Etsy to buy the image and found it on at least 5 different shops and all claimed to be the original designer. 🤷🏽♂️

Thank you for your kind words. Most of my students love makings these. I’m glad it helped.
@@Teaching3DPrinting I think its pretty cool how you made your animated character talk i wish there is a video on how to do that for myself

Do you have a picture of one? Coasters are just flat circles, aren’t they?
They are normally the seal of the branch of the service.
I just picked a bambu labs x1c, i came looking for help with tinkercad and you've also helped me with bambu studios too, thank you so much!
Glad I could help! How's the A1 mini? Many of my students want one.

Watching from kenya 🇰🇪, been watching and learning ..great tutoring

I just followed your video step by step, and it worked out well. Thank you!

Welcome to 3D printing! I use Adobe Character Animator to make the little guy move and talk. Glad you like the video!
Amazing video thanks so much, from a fellow teacher, one remaining question: how did you make the animated avatar in the bottom? Thank you! 🎉

thank you so much helpt me to make my own disign
Glad I could help!
I have a question, about printing this, which is cool thank you, how can I do a 3 color print on my single color printer?
I would stop a print and change the filament. I hated doing it but the results were cool.

How awesome is it that your class has Bambu printers!? Lucky kids! I have a P1P myself.
We have 10. I happen to be at the right place at the right time. Im very blessed.
I just have 1 problem how to do more then 3 colors
Hand
Legs
Head
Tattoo
Great video. I love your taking head. How did you make that?
I modified an existing figure and animate it with Adobe Character Animate.
Great tutorial, thanks
Glad you liked it
all you need is a svg for tincercad do what he did, ive done solid and a hole version of it to.
I have a photo from a Olimpic Medal. I tried to make a svg, but doesn't work well. Can someone help me please. Is for my school.
Let’s see it
I have a question. When I add the image to PHOTOPEA I get a “layer is not editable” and I followed step by step. Can you help, or anyone please!
You must select the layer, right click on it and select "Convert to intelligent object".
Any idea why Photopea would be saying "layer is not editable" when trying to use the paint brush?

@Teaching3DPrinting awesome thanks
Nice video
Thanks
been using this technique for a long time I have even done it with a image I took.
Cool
just found your channel. Thanks you, this is awsome ! can you show us how to make a card kit. TIA
What’s a card kit?

Good video! Thank you.

Thanks alot
I’m glad you found it helpful.
this would be simple in fusion
I wish I learned fusion.
Nvm the mid thing, you were right. You can do better! I never knew about the wand tool
Thank you!
The tutorial is fine. The little animated guy on bottom is really annoying
Yup, it’s not for everyone. My middle school students are cool with it but I get it.
This is not 3D. May be at most 2.5D. This is just like embossed pic.
This is true but for some reason people find it interesting. I made the tutorial to show people how it’s done.
I sell all my stuff. Where’s the copyright police at?

Isn’t the image stolen from Marvel in the first place 🤔
It's flat!
Yup
At least get proficient with the process before you make a video telling people how to do it. It seems you don't really have a grasp on a lot of this.
You’re right. This was one of my last videos I made before taking this channel seriously.
I hope you don't mutter this much teaching a class.
I made this video before I scripted my videos and took my channel seriously. Sorry.
Instant forget this annoying meme or wtf is this.
Great!
Now I just need help make a straw topper ..🫠
I'll have to think about that one.
