    It's called a Compression Fitting Nut,,the 'BELL" looking thing is called Ferrell..Just an FYI everyone...DO NOT USE THAT plastic tubing get some 1/8" copper tubing....As you can over tighten the nut an cut it and over time it will become brittle..Think a minute how much of a mess that would be in side. High pressure and "HOT" oil

    Do not use the nylon hose!!!!! It will not hold up at all. make copper lines and call it a day. That nylon hose will blowup in a week or less.

      Exactly! Who wants 220° oil spraying in their face? Or all over your legs... preach!!!! #copperisbetter

    You can buy a oil pressure guage kit for the oil cooler. Just a block, tapped for a line.

    Ya Kevin that thing is going to be a pain in the ass if it goes, best bet to go with the copper.
    Is you haven't already got it in.
    The oil pressure was what did me in on my last motor.

    PSA If you don’t use a brass insert in the nylon hose it WILL leak.

    Did you just bin the stock sender?? Why?? One less warning light...Id prefer a tee piece to run both if possible...and yeah, I'd run a braided hose anywhere where there's heat...

    Why did you need that adapter? Didn’t the gauge come with one?

    • @Sgt.Slides
      @Sgt.Slides  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      the gauge came with some universal adapters, however, i wanted to get pressure from the OEM location and none of the supplied adapters were the correct size for that.

    Do you Krimp the fittings onto the nylon?

    • @Sgt.Slides
      @Sgt.Slides  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      no, there are little rings that hold the pressure.

  • @betosgarage

    What should the oil pressure read bro? Mine reads between 25-50

    • @Sgt.Slides
      @Sgt.Slides  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      a healthy motor should be above 50psi when cold and 25 is at idle when warm.

    • @Sgt.Slides
      @Sgt.Slides  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I ended up using this gauge only for testing purposes, i've heard too many bad things about getting oil in the car, copper lines or not. I went for the electronic sensor.

    "Oil pressure is very important so i wanted to make sure i had a good gauge"
    Also this guy:
    "I went with nylon hose instead of copper line"

      Brandon Conover if you protect the nylon hose by putting a cover around the line it works just fine
