Hi Derek. I'm the cyclist who fixed Jimmy's bike up on the Caha Pass (just a 5mm allen key). REALLY REALLY glad you two got to finish your ride. My wife, Claire, and I rode a similar circuit both ways that week as we were on hols staying in Glengarriff - truly stunning. Really sorry about your problems getting home.
Well Jonathan, haha amazing you seen this 🤣 Jimmy was saying it was just the Allen key needed in the end. I thought he said he was missing the bolt so I didn’t even look and flew back for the car. Fair play for sorting him…aw it’s a beautiful spot, my first time on it. Car is still in the garage 😬
Well what can we say but you give us a smile watching your channel 😅 well done to those cyclists who gave Jimmy the bolt 🎉 Fabulous scenery I think you well deserved that pint so hopefully from now on no more breakdowns for you keep on cycling 😊
Hi i am Derek Feehan welcome to the breakdown channel 😂😂 a some spot to be fair say all the hassle was worth it pal 😊 nice to see jimmy out with you 💯💯💪💪
Great vid Derek. Am really enjoying the channel. There are a few other similar (equally spectacular) routes you can do in the area. Kenmare to the Borlin Valley & back to Glengarriff and over the Caha back to Kenmare is great. But if you want a real knockout climb do Kenmare to Borlin Valley (essentially turn right at Kilgarvan) and when you get back down head up Priests Leap (5.4km at 8.2% brutal). Nice descent back to Kenmare. That cycle will put hairs on your chest!
I’m all for hearing about different routes. Never heard of the Borlin valley. I will definitely look into that route. Don’t be surprised if you see it happen one day on the channel 🤣
@derekfeehan i started in Glengariff if you get that route on a good day you won't find better . Think its about 2.000 mts of climbing brings you back into Glengariff in the finish
I’ve thought that myself at this stage 🤣🤣 ah it’s absolutely fantastic. Besides all the mishaps it was a brilliant ride. M2M is on the cards soon. How did you find it?
Derek > if that's what they call the "Luck of the Irish" > I'm not needing any > geezus ! ( just kidding buddy > it's got to get better from here. Be Well )
If it’s not the bike it’s the car, least the weather was on your side for the cycle otherwise that might have broken you all together 😂 thankfully you got home in the end. Maybe it’s a sign to not go out in the car or cycle without a breakdown kit 😂

Keep breaking down like this I won’t have to buy a single pint 🍺 for the whole stage party.
If it keeps breaking down like this I won’t be able to afford to go on the stag party 🤣
Hi! Love your jacket! You use it often? Great road!
Hi ya mate, yeah I use it a good bit. Lovely bit of kit and it’s warm. Got it in the Specialized Ireland shop. Savage roads down in Kerry
Always worth bringing a derailleur hanger and bolt in the spare kit 😄 pretty exposed bit of the bike !
Probably should have but it’s the first time I’ve ever seen that happen 🤣 thankfully we got it done in the end.
wish I saw this at the start of the weekend 😅
Have you being up it?
@@derekfeehan I haven’t looks unreal though def worth a spin down
@Ali_Arma definitely worth the spin. I’ll def get down there again at some point this year. Amazing to have roads like that here.
Did the old Rebel tour route last year twice up the Healy great route 160k
Savage, it’s a fantastic spot .
I must look up that route you did. I’m hoping to hit the Conor pass in a few wks.

@nickyhennessy5463 brilliant, sounds like definitely one for the future 🤙
Ah Derek FFS !, if ye hadnt got the bad luck you'd have no luck at all !😅, Caha is amazing, was on it doin M2M 2022
I’ve thought that myself at this stage 🤣🤣 ah it’s absolutely fantastic. Besides all the mishaps it was a brilliant ride. M2M is on the cards soon. How did you find it?

Got a giggle from that Daniel 🤣 if I had no luck, I’d have none at all 🤣 the cycle route made up for all the mishaps. Thanks pal 😃🤙

One day it will all come together 🫣🤣
