The Thumbport is LIFE CHANGING. I love it. I have a tendency to grip harder when playing hard passages, and the Thumbport shifts my grip slightly so my fingers tend to stay more relaxed.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :) The Roi leaf Patches work on piccolo as well. The patches come in a set of two, so you could use the smaller one for piccolo. The adhesive is not damaging to wood on a piccolo. You may have to cut the gel depending on how it fits your piccolo.
Do you have any pictures or videos showing the use of the stand while playing a flute with the Flute Lab vertical headjoint? I have never seen this stand mentioned by anyone other than here on this video.
I got a Guo New Voice about 6 years ago and I absolutely love it. However, a problem I have regardless of any flute I play is fighting with the roll when all fingers are lifted. Are you aware of any thumbport type attachments which would work with the Guo New Voice?
I'm glad you love it! As of yet, we don't know of any thumbports for the bass flute. We do have various flute gels and lip patches to help prevent slipping and possibly rolling. You may be able to adjust the headjoint lower so it's not directly above the keys, which often times causes it to slip.
Great video! Am I mistaken, but are ALL the headjoints for playing the flute vertically on the expensive side? Lower end headjoints for playing vertically, for non-pros/beginners/amateurs would be really useful, since it would be easier to hold the instrument in a more stable position. These are not marvels of machining, so I'm guessing their novelty and "un-conventionality" leads to what I think are unnecessarily inflated prices. If wind players understood the sound is not made by projecting a jet of the air through the instrument, but (on flute) by creating wave pulses originating at the opposite edge of the embouchure hole, more players would understand why these bends and curves do not at all compromise the instrument's capabilities and even more people would play flute.
Thank you! The reason these may seem higher in price is because they are hand cut and sterling silver. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter on flutespecialists.com, because we often run discounts and deals on select instruments/headjoints.

Being able to the flute vertically would have been great when I was in the marching band in high school!
Interesting ergonomic improvements
Would love to see if there are any piccolo "Flute pads" for the index finger on the left hand.
Great video btw!

Thank you so much, did not know there are flutes like these.
Great video and thanks for showing products that can help elevate pain or provide support
Glad you enjoyed it! These products are all excellent for someone who is looking for more comfort while playing flute :)
I know a flute professor with chronic forearm tendonitis that would benefit from the headjoint modification.

I'm afraid the bassflutes have no brightness in the sound like the metal ones have.
めっちゃ面白い、初めて見ました(*´ー`*)
筋力が弱ってきた方には便利だと思います。
