I play medic a lot, and the best players know to yell for me constantly. They yell leaving spawn, they yell when they're about to damage jump, they yell when they're about to push. Don't be thinking this is rude, oh no, it's teamwork enabling communication! I smile every time a good scout yells for me while running past, because I know the quick overheal is the difference of getting a med pick, or just simply not dying. Too often I see engineers trying to tank an uber without even calling for help. Voice comms exist, use them! It's not impolite, go ahead. - Love, medic.
Wish more like you existed. I’ll be top scoring, 20 pts ahead of the next player, and the medic will just refuse to overheal me while staying on a heavy.
Less experienced medics sometimes complain about full health players calling for medic... I press E every time I know I have crit heals and actively seek out a doctor to get buffed. Thank you for understanding lol
18:08 something i noticed habib doing in old demos was reload a few stickies, then a few pipes, then finishing off each. makes sense since having at least some of both makes you the most effective
Valve when designing soldier: let’s make his primary weakness reloading being slow Valve when designing Demoman: fuckinnn what if we made soldier with 12 rockets in his loadout lollllll
So you're really telling me that reloading a sticky launcher or grenade launcher from empty feels any faster? lmao In both cases if you're caught reloading, you're just cooked

Stickybombs can be destroyed by a lot of things. Funny thing I have to mention, I found out that the Cow Mangler's Charge (M2) can destroy Stickybombs wtf (I have 10.7k hours in this game lol)
This channel is the reason i try to improve as demonan and keep maining demoman this channel is a huge role model for my gameplay if that makes any sense

34:07 One fun thing that wasn't specifically mentioned re: Quickiebomb Launcher (and Scottish Resistance I guess ...) is that, for some reason, it can delete midair stickies. So, sometimes if you're fighting a QB Demo, your sticky can sometimes just get instadeleted as soon as you shoot it. QB is still overall worse than stock, but it's certainly annoyed me a countable-on-two-hands amount of times.
it's like fighting short circuit lite except it also takes a third of your health with each shot. Fun! Wish that stat was either removed entirely or at least only applied to grounded stickies.
I have 3 500 hours in TF2, 240 of those hours being as Demoman. This is one of few TF2 tip videos I've seen in a long, long time that actually taught me new concepts in this game and I really appreciate it, thank you!

Thanks for this video I have 300 hours on demoman but still couldnt understand how other better demomans were able to use their stickies in a more efficient way
Awesome guide. At 6:57 you mention a control style to shoot and detonate stickies. I’d like to add on that holding down right click will achieve the same result and cause stickies to detonate the moment they are able to. This makes it much easier for me to m1m2 as needed, hope this helps.
Yes, I do this when spamming as well. It avoids pressing m2 too early and not detonating the sticky at all. Though I will say being able to time your m2 clicks may make more fine tuned sticky spamming more effective, for example if you wanted to actually not detonate asap and leave it just a tad to inflict more damage like if you needed the sticky to travel slightly further or waiting for the enemy to move a little more into your sticky.
melees being internally hitscan does allow for funnies after all I also think demo being unmitigated is a lesser evil than sniper given all the broken bullshit in pubs, but it's something that'd need to be addressed.
Id rather deal with a cracked demoman than a cracked sniper. BY existance makes the game worse because discouraging players to attack makes it super easy for players to get picked off over and over a team fight never happening, And team with good sniper agains STUPID combat advantage by sheer existance and only counter to this menace is to REPEATEDLY sacrifice into it guarenteeing both players to not have fun good luck if there is cracked 2 snipers. Atleast demoman is interactive and fun to play against
I think in misc you could've mentioned info and stickies. The number of stickies out changes when people destroy traps, you can put a couple obvious stickies in a doorway and see the active sticky count go down. I will put more stickies in the same spot but hidden and use that info to detonate. Also your trap info can be used against you if you trap a point and use it on someone capping, it could be a soldier/pyro that knocked them away without destroying them allowing a backcap.
I'm surprised by your criticism of the quickie bomb launcher. It is exactly the weapon to snipe snipers from a distance, stickyspam and hit cart pushers with a full charged shot. I thought you were going to praise it when I opened the video, hehehe.
what does it say bro, i mean, not a pyro main, but what does it say please i need to know i won't get upset i just wanna check something please tell me what it says
I would prefer to reload the stickybomb launcher first, as long as it has 4 or less shots left in it. I had to look this up on the wiki, because before it was just a feeling I had. Subsequent reloads after your first one (reload one sticky, and automatically reload the next) are much faster. 1.09s on first reload and 0.67s on subsequent. Having a lot of stickies missing means you get to benefit more from that faster reload rather than going with a lot of partial reloads.
Good video, I've played quite a lot as demo and learned all of it subconsciously just through experience. Still I think this is a God tier info for new players who only start their journey as a demolition guy. -rep for shitting on quickie and scottish resistance tho, noob. P.S. No, really good shit. Scottish Resistance is really effective on tight maps and choke points. Add the Loose Cannon and it's oppressive. Push people into your own traps! The mistake is trying to use it like stock.

Against my better judgement, here is a tip you did not cover. When relying on the autoreload setting, your automatic Stickybomb Launcher reloads will be stopped when holding M2, meaning you may end up reloading slightly slower. You can fix this by using +reload in console. For some reason, that makes the autoreload much more consistent across the board.
the biggest problem when i try to use the stickybomb launcher is that i PHYSICALLY cant tell where my stickies are and if theyre even close to my target, and this is something that i dont think i can fix much since its not a game problem, its an irl problem. so i need to find a way to know if theyre gonna get hit without knowing if theyre actually going to get hit
