Roads do not rise to meet one. It's a gross mistranslation from the Irish. The verb 'éirí' means 'to rise' But 'éirí leat' means 'to be successful'. Not the choir's fault, of course. But I found the interpretation too sugary and sentimentalised. And even the beautiful voices don't compensate for that.

I'm biased as 100% Irish, but for my money, John Rutter has THE definitive rendition of this Celtic Blessing...enjoy!
