    Good evening captain, thank you for your video. I have always wanted to fly helicopters was not able to get the help to do so. Your videos and others sort of help me fulfill my dream. I learn a lot from you. Are the two levers overhead your throttle or power controls?
    I notice you do not touch them, are they set or does the fadec system set the power, please let me know. Thank you. I was a chef on rigs before and a flight never came to my rig without me saying thank you by providing lunch or dinner for the flight crew. Looking at your videos brings up these fond memories in me.

      @@larryalexander4385 thanks a lot for your very kind comment. The levers you see are indeed throttles. We call them “ECL” Engine Control Levers. They are however not used in normal situations. Only when the automatic engine controls fail we can use them to keep the engines (and rotor RPM) in control. I hope this makes sense 🤗.

    Great video, Chris! Quick question: The rotor brake is something you are required to use everytime? or it's just on some situations? Cheers from Norway!

    • @helichrisPA28
      @helichrisPA28  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the question, The rotor brake is only used on shut down after the flight. When the engines are on, the rotor brake is inhibited and wont work.

    Another great video. I'm not a pilot but have flown some in helicopters. Do they not allow you to take off directly from the pad? I have never been on a helicopter when we had to taxi to runway. I'm sure this is a silly question but just curious. Keep posting!
