Evet ama en onemlisi doru ol duzgun ol, insan ol ne olur san ol fark etmez, ama tabiki turk kizi olarak karsunun bukadar dunyada yetenekli olmasi hepimiz icin gurur verici😍
Interesting to delve into the lyrics as well. I loved Karsu's interpretation of this song, mixing bright with darker tones. Most versions are bright and clear, which in my opinion clash with the deeper meaning behind the song. 100% sure most people who hear other versions and aren't fluent in Spanish think it's a nice song. It's about a dark deal, murder, abandonment and Karsu really brings that in her version.
The band is also awesome. They can play any genre. They are the house band of Beste Zangers already from the start. This year is was the 14th season. Please check out more of Beste Zangers, we have many excellent singers. To name a few: Davina Michelle, Floor Jansen, Glennis Grace, Sanne Hans, Henk Poort, Rolf Sanchez, and many many more. By the way, BZ is not a competition. It's a show where singers honour each others music, or music that is meaningfull to them.
This years beste zangers was topnotch again ( last yearit was just less...) karsu was one of the pleasant surprises! As already mentioned by many on here an absolute favorite is the duet je suis malade she did with belle perez..belle in french and karsu in turkish...the emotion karsu brought in to this song was outstanding you will defenitely enjoy it
Thanks for this one. Great collab between you and the people contributing. By taking text meaning into account, this is not simply a repetitive song that goes crescendo but it gers meaning. And Karsu.... ❤
Hey, hi there, I am Spanish and maybe I can throw you some light on this song. It's a song from a Spanish group called Mecano, done way back in the 80s or 90s not quite sure about that, but it refers to a gypsy legend. The word "Cale", is how they refer to themselves as an ethnicity, in Spain that is. And the ones that aren't gypsies are "Payos" (( ''Este hijo es de un payo y yo no me lo callo '' )). Also, the son was "Albino" and gypsies take betrayals in a very serious way. So do NOT make deals with the moon! Thanks for the video! Awesome.
Love , love , love this song, not sure why were not listening to the original. It wasn’t just a hit in Spanish speaking countries, I’m from Belgium and it was popular there too.
Hi! Please react to Pelageya - Oh, It's not the night yet (Пелагея - Ой, да не вечер - We are Together!) 2020. Pelageya is a russian singer. She is amazing!
Fascinating how many translation get the song wrong. xD Luna is NOT the Moon. Luna is the Name of a Roman Goddess refered to in this song. Hijo de la Luna = Son of Luna / Luna's Son. So if you try to read the lyrics keep in mind, that Luna is mostly Luna and somtimes during the end it's Moon. Luna is also the Spanish word for Moon, that's why there's so much confusion during translation^^
The song was written in spanish and in that language luna = the moon. If you look at the lyrics it says "La Luna" which literally means "The Moon". If the lyrics were meant to signify the roman goddess it would just say "Luna" and not "La Luna". Although in the chorous the article "La" is not used on 2 ocassions it is because it is talking to The Moon directly and it is addressing it by it's name, similar to how you would start addressing somone by their first name during an in person conversation.
Ehhmmmmm....... don't you know how to pronounce hijo? The way you pronounce it, it sounds like io, while you should pronounce it with a gutteral j (more or less as the Dutch g or ch)! And the h is the same as in English! Aside from that: in relation to the German translation, the sun is female and the moon is male (as in all germanic languages), while in the Romance languages the sun is male and the moon female. Personally, I like Karsu's version over the original one, although the original certainly has its merits as well.
Omg you are so long winded. She is singing in the space she speaks in. On impulse, not calculative. Who would want to hear a singer who is focussed on technical blabla? She is musically interesting because she lets her emotions and interpretation flow. As singing is supposed to be. And no the coloratura are not the Turkish influence, but from the original song.
The duet Karsu did with Belle was so emotionally overwhelming, and sooo well sung, you definitally should check that one out too!

Karsu is magical, such an amazing story teller.
She was the discovery this year on Beste Zangers
So true!
Sie war schon bei der Elite bekannt auch in den USA. Sie kennt die Adelsfamilie persönlich und wurde privat für ein Konzert eingeladen.

Je suis malada. By Karsu and Belle Perez. In Beste zangers. Its Amazing.
This was a beautiful interpretation! The song's story is sad beutiful! Jarkko Ahola will also sing this Finnish, it's so beautiful too!
I like how the backing vocalists are singing the incidental synth-notes from the Meccano-version with flawless precision.

Btw its hego de la luna ( in spanish the j is pronounced as a g) and hijo is child( can be female or male) easy to google and translate!
I would swear that Belle is Spanish. Which makes it more impressive imo.
