This year's Beste Zangers had great singer/songwriter/performers every one but it was Karsu that stole my heart this year. She's just a force on stage with a microphone and it really doesn't matter what language she's singing in she just blows you away as she did all the other professional singers on that stage, and each one of them is worthy of being bragged about. They are a group of amazing performers and I would go to any one of their concerts in a heartbeat. But, Karsu...if you haven't heard her do the Shania Twain song that she did for Dutch Country Boy Joe Buck, "From this Moment" you've got to see and hear this. She had her Mom make a replica of Shania's dress from her video from over 20 years ago and it was breath taking as were Karsu's vocals. You guys, were great as always. Keep it up!!!
This one is jazzy nice, but I would recommend also the other songs from Karsu in Beste Zangers 2021, for instance Hijo de la Luna and Je suis Malade, her duet with Belle Perez. And do not forget the incredible Anneke van Giersbergen, she also participated ....
I'd never heard of Karsu before, but she was immediately my favourite. Anneke was amazing with her song for Karsu, Jest Oldu. Unfortunately there are some copyright issues with the song.
I would suggest they watch every single performance by KRS you. It showed you the different facets of her performance abilities. She can sing everything. From country to reggae to jazz. Ending with an adult contemporary ballad by Lara Fabian.
the song is a lot of fun. it is about a guy going for a ride with his car and forgetting all the rules. the red light he goes through , the roundabout taking from the left coz he think its fun and all the slow driver he passes and sends them to the side and the police he challenges for a race. the title means `to the side`. she sung it in the dialect of bokkers. to get some lessons to speak his language she made some calls and all said she should ask him. finaly she got them from a guy that was in the show last year. karsu is the big sensation this year. in episode 8 , the duets , she did a song with belle perez called `je suis malade` a very emotional song. she sung her part in that song in turkisch and belle perez sung french. the song is trending at the moment. worth trying , is a ballad but so good.
The guy she’s singing for is called Bökkers. Both of them were my favourites. I’d say listen to his version of “Nothing really matters” on the same show.
Such fantastic expression in this, it's 20s blues meets modern metal... One of those "metal that doesn't need metal backup" numbers. To do it in a language not known for the style is even cooler.
You realy need the lyrics on this one. It's a funny song. I has a Dukes of Hazard vibe, wich is quite common in the part of the country (North-East) were Bökkers comes from. They love a demolition derby, dirt bike race etc. And when you perform there as a band, expect a beer or two come flying your way.

I second that the duet with belle perez je suis malade was just so frigging great and emotional a true gem

Great reaction
Nice Dutch song. A funny message and the singer ... wow ... what a voice! Great!

Well said. I only think "to the side" is a bit too literal, maybe "move over"?
@@jessicakoster2543 thanks. you are right about the title but when wrote my response i could not find the right words.
@@jessicakoster2543 yes, or Get out of the way!!
and a round of applause for the Band, to give it that ' Big Band-meets-Nightclub' vibe
She was my fav. this season. She is awesome.
Hi, im from the Netherlands and i want to mention she is singing in a dialect. Really difficult for her to sing this the first time but perfect :)
where's she from then? what's her own accent like?
She howls the title like it's "ANNEKE!!" while literally table dancing for Anneke.
Like, we see you, Karsu. Nothin but love for that!!
She was singing this for Bokkers and in his dialect
Watch the lyrics!! It's about a lunatic driver with police behind his/her and is yelling:"Out of my way!!! (An de Kant)".
The guy she’s singing for is called Bökkers. Both of them were my favourites. I’d say listen to his version of “Nothing really matters” on the same show.
Her Je Suis Malade with Belle Perez is fantastic.
So is Belle's Strange Machines, a Gathering song.

You should do much more Turkish artists such like Şebnem Ferah she is Turkish rock queen.
Çok haklısın
'2007 Bostancı live' fln filan onları da eklemeli.
Please watch “from this moment“, “losing you“, and “je suis malade” next. Also “Hollywood seven” just so you can see her versatility a little bit.

The answer is YES. Don't care the question.
'An de kaant' = basically 'get the F.. outta my way' i.e.The thing You'd scream when the fuz is hot at Your heels.
Check Karsu - Hollywood Seven (Beste Zangers 2021) 👍
teşekkürler...şebnem ferah ...2007 istanbul concert "ben şarkımı söylerken" please...
Fun fact: She sings in a Dutch dialect that isn't hers.
what's her accent like? does she normally have a thick accent?
