Thank you for sharing. You will help so many people by opening up about your true struggles. The world sees a perfect man. Showing the struggle inside is so helpful. Your clients may not like it but they should respect you more because you are honest. You are a growing and great person!
I think this is absolutely wonderful & how cool for me to brag that I have a PWM who is in board shorts & a surfboard…& true to himself! Here’s to your journey & new adventures ahead! 🎉
Hey there Tom, there is a quote from one of my favorite movies witch says: it can't rain all the time. we need to take a step back to better move forward. I wish you good luck in your projects 🌞
Hi Tom. This is Kameisha. I just tuned into your podcast on Spotify and wanted to send you a comment. I can relate to how sometimes we as a people can be harsh and negative to ourselves sometimes. In my experience I did that a lot and it's a challenge to change your thought process but it is possible and I know changing the thoughts to positive can work. Keep up your journey, and I will be following you from the US for moral support 👍
It's always great to hear your insights. I wish I had examined my life more thoroughly earlier on, like you are doing. Understanding that places, food, people, and activities all need to align for true happiness is a valuable lesson. You made me think of one of my uncles; one of his closest friends is his financial advisor, and their friendship is genuine in a way I've never seen before. They truly are like brothers.🥹 Good on ya for figuring this shit out before your forties!😄💜
I think life is throwing everything at you that way you can close chapters of your past, sort your present, and work on your future. We are our biggest bullies but having people to keep accountable always helps.
Hi Tom, burnout is real, and sometimes you don’t even notice it until you step back. I was told to be kinder to myself because I’m such a perfectionist and often feel like I should be further along. Someone once asked me, 'If your friend were in your position, would you talk to them the way you talk to yourself?' I said, 'hell no,' and they replied, 'Then why do you?' It’s hard to break that habit, but now I pause and ask, 'Would I say this to my friend?' If not, I try to shift my thought process. It takes practice, but it’s worth it. Also, I feel like I’m always oversharing in your comments because so much of what you mention resonates with me-it’s either something I’ve been through or am going through now, but if it helps someone oh well!😂
You felt drained to do anything because that life was not YOU, it was the persona you created to survive. Now thriving mode has kicked in, the old ways don't work anymore, and they stubbornly show you that! Everything you spoke about happened for a REASON! Maybe your fitness routine wants to be DIFFERENT... Listen to it, meditate to receive new guidance to the new you. Your whole vision of the world & past identity is being CHALLENGED! The mask has fallen, thank her and don't pick her up! Thank you for being vulnerable and so relatable... Act to yourself as your best friend would! Erase those harsh words you've internalized from other people. You are worthy just because you EXIST, no need to put up a performance or PRODUCE, you are not a machine
Hi Tom, a beautiful heartfelt episode. Growth is uncomfortable. There is no getting around that. As far as oversharing... I would ask this: If we aren't willing to share... What we feel comfortable with... And be vulnerable how can there be real Genuine growth? How could your audience resonate with you and grow through this podcast. Being hard on yourself is something I'm very familiar with. Through my own journey I have learned to ask would I speak or expect this of a close cherished friend. I'm also surprised and sorry to hear that the finance world is not embracing this. But what I do know is that the right people will find you and you them. In growth when you grow internally and grow through knowledge, we inevitably outgrow those that just won't go there for whatever reason. I struggle with some physical issues, and what I've found in having to do exercises everyday... That when I feel myself saying I should... It's my brain over thing. When I do what I can and I'm kinder... All the I should's quiet down. With each episode and your willingness to be open and grow, I know you will be ok. Keep going, do what feels right in your gut and I'm still in this as a viewer. Looking forward to your Nan's episode you promised. Also while you're at home with your family enjoy those baked goods. A little comfort goes a long way. You're fortunate to have a loving family that want to give you love in a brownie. Some of us don't have that. You will sort it out. It's part of growth. You're doing an amazing job. It's funny I don't even see the thirst traps that Juria started... I'm invested in Tom. I'm really finding your podcast valuable. Please really take that in. Cheers Michelle
Enjoy your mom’s baked goods while you still can, because there’s gonna be one day when you’re gonna miss them more than anything in the world. Enjoy every day, don’t take anything for granted. Slow down and be present. Take care of your body and mind. You can’t do shit while being a wreck of a human. First comes your overall health, than you can go and conquer the world. Good luck!
