When I turned 13 I became Atheist reading books about the universe and the origin of the species. I could care less about an after life or a all powerful being. It seemed all made up or wishful thinking. Then just by chance I came arcoss the teachings of the buddha after reading it I learned how to accept things as they are and found it helpful. I soon stopped fighting with other people and respect their beliefs. I no longer call myself an atheist since I have no conflict with other faiths. I would call myself a free thinker and the buddhist teachings helped me deal with life.
Not entirely. It lacks in the breaching the gap department. According to the comparative religion population consneses published by Cambridge university, out of the 5 major religions, Buddhism had the most suicide rates, trailing Christianity, Hindusim and the religion with the least amount was Islam, ironically the word Islams moniker is called the religion of peace. That aside, in all religions, especially Abrahamic, suicide is the equivalent of murder in Gods eyes, it is haram in Islam, it is not scriptable in Christianity, and it is frowned upon in Judaism, so if they killed themelves than their soul was not in peace, but at war with itself, the body falling apart or dieing off by age is one thing, but to kill the body is more so you’re targeting the soul and spirit by doing so. Again, they did not attain peace, because their actions speak for themselves. When you say peace, what type of peace, solitude, isolation, being liberated from money and chores, what’s the peace part about not engaging other things? I only ask because if it has the highest amounts of suicides of all major religions, than it is not truly a efffective religion, they should have had remedies and antipodes for their woes, problems and pangs, solutions over the adversity. But they didn’t, so this is why I put my faiths in higher esteem to the Abrahamic.
There is no diversity. Diversity is an illusion, a delusion. We are all one, the same exact being, in the same breath, transcending all delusional diversity causing conflict. We are all one in silent being. Transcend.

@@connorstar164 Not true. There's no precise report or survey of indicating that buddhists have the highest rate of suicide. You might be looking at one time period of data. Like one year. Because those data can change time to time. Right now, when I'm writing this comment, the highest rate of suicide indicates from the Protestantism. Not every human being is perfect. Every mortal is suffering from their problems and inner conflicts, regardless of their religion. Therefore it is not possible to point out one religion or belief and labeling it as not effective for human psychology. I appreciate your reason why you want to put your faith in abramic religions. It is okay.
Buddha taught us the root of suffering originated from our Greed, Anger, and Ignorance. So a basic cultivation is to watch our Mind. Speech and Actions every day. There is no God to Punish or Reward you. But the Punishments and Rewards would come around from the Karmic force of these Wise or Unwise thoughts, actions, and deeds. Just as "what goes around comes around". This is a very basic Crash Course in Buddhism.
Buddhism is not religion, buddhism is a set of knowledge of which brings us to the cessation of suffering, whether you are Christian or whatever, you can learn and practice this knowledge to end your suffering just like you learn to cook food to end your hungry. (please note that hungry is a kind of suffering along with disease, anxious, whatever)
Great video. Buddhism is awesome. I've benefited much from the Buddha's teachings and meditation in particular. I urge western people who are no longer religious to try Buddhism. It is extremely beneficial and powerful.

And all Abrahamic religions have deviated from Abraham's religion! There had been *no* concept of heaven, hell, daemons, satan, the coming of a Messianic figure, the end of the world, the resurrection of the dead, or of the final judgement until after the Babylonian Exile (see _Second Temple Judaism_ , a.k.a. _Post-exilic Judaism_ )! ALL those beliefs were first incorporated into Judaism from *Zoroastrianism* after the Persian king *Cyrus the Great* of the Achaemenid Empire conquered Babylon, freed the Jews, allowed them to return to their homeland, and even had the building of the Second Temple commissioned in Jerusalem (the First Temple had been destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar)! King Cyrus was explicitly named the Anointed of God ( _Massiakh_ , i.e. *Messiah* ) in Isaiah 45:1 !! Instead of heaven and hell, the Jews used to initially believe in _Sheol_ (i.e. the "Realm of the Dead") and the snake from the Book of Genesis was simply a snake (i.e. the animal), *not* satan (the entire concept of satan as the adversary of God was later borrowed from the model of Angra Mainyu/ Ahriman, the adversary of Ahura Mazda - the creator god in Zoroastrianism)! So the Abrahamic faiths of today would be unrecognisable not just to Abraham himself, but also to Moses!

And modern Christianity is not like that anymore, even if it used to be. Already in 2002 I saw buddhists performing in the famous Catholic Assisi in Italy. Yes, it used to condemn most other beliefs and faith, but sorry to say (for some), we do live today, not in 1800 or before that.

I've been directly involved with many forms of Hinduism and have found that other religions are not only accepted but their teachings often robustly embraced. I've found little to no acceptance of other religions, however, when it comes to Buddhist circles I've been involved with. Quite the opposite, in fact. Buddha was able to do that because He was above ‘self’, above ego. He had transcended ‘world’. Buddha had taught about 32 realms of existence, six of which are ‘godly’ abodes, where existence is at its zenith of pleasure. Godly realms are reachable by deeds that are meritorious (good karma). However, it does not mean that gods have quelled factors that contribute to continued existence and they too have the potential to decline and be born again in other not so wholesome realms, when the potency of the good karmas come to an end. Gods are beings who have not shed Desire, Conflict or Illusion.

Not all Buddhist accepts all religions. I wanted to be initiated in Green Tara mantras and I was told that I have to take refuge in Buddha to do this and this means renunciation of any other gods or faith. This happened at a Buddhist temple. Hinduism is more open than Buddhism. It would be great if this video was true
Taking refuge in buddha doesn't mean you have to abandon other faiths. Buddha advised to practice every path and adopt what is useful in reducing the suffering. If saying om nama shivaya means disrespecting lord Vishnu? No, likewise refuge in triple gems doesn't mean you are only bound to buddhist teachings.
I think you are confusing with being a Buddhist and making a commitment. You’re being initiated. That isn’t something to be taken lightly. But I don’t know the details of your particular situation. I got involved with this one Tibetan Buddhist organization which has been accused of being a cult, has a big opposition to the Dalai Lama, and they also accept money from the People’s Republic of China. They aren’t exactly a good representation of the Vajrayana tradition. And I wouldn’t be surprised if you might’ve come across the same or similar organization.
@@SussyBaka-uq6nf that is what i though before going to the temple to talk about getting initiated and i was told that taking refuge in budhism means just following budha teachungs and nobody else. @@someguynamedelan I went to a Budhist temple in Bristol to listen to a lecture and to talk about getting initiated into the Green Tara mantras because Tara has become a proeminet spiritual inspiration and her mantras deeply connected with me. Some great Budhist teacher was coming to Bristol to do an event and to do Green Tara initiations and I was told that taking refuge in Budha means that I have to let go of any other Gods or paths.. It's just the way of the Budha and thats it. I was surpised to hear this and didn't do the initiation. Maybe it is as you say, there are different budhist traditions and teachers and maybe some are more closed than others. I only wrote this comment because of the titile of the video and because I wasn't very happy not to be permited to be initiated and without initiation you cannot take part to the weekly Green Tara Mantra practice. I follow Budhist teachings as I know and feel how powerfull they are and how powerfull Tara is. I hope to make all the people discover Tara and her helping grace.

I do not agree. The Buddha was a revolutionary and agitator, shaking up what had become a stale, out of touch religion, entrenched in an oppressive caste system. In the Brahmajāla Sutta he annihilates 62 wrong views, so no, the Buddha absolutely did not just accept other religions and philosophies. He firmly establishes himself as the Tathagata.
Why?... simply because they do not really know the very essence of God as a spiritual concept. They think and conceive God as a personal caring God, which is obviously NOT.
No Islam allows Any religion to be what it is. And its about one step at a time. There is One God and Only one God. About whats in your heart Not what comes from your mouth.
This is nonsense. All relgions and philosophies teach different things to each individual. And is ultimately the pracutcer who decides to accept other religions or not. Christianity as taught through Jesus says there is no Jew Gentile Greek Barbarian all are made one in Christ. I have sheep of many folds. In Christ there is only brotherly love. This is acxepting of all religions.
All languages are the same language. All religions are the same religion. All Heavenly Fathers are the same Heavenly Father. Creator God resides in the seed wisdom. Heavenly Fathers like Odin, Jupiter, Zeus, Baal, El, Yahweh, Jehovah, Christ, Allah, Amon Ra, Horus, Shiva, Vishnu, millions of Heavenly Fathers are tribal deities seeking devotees. All languages are the same. Creator God transcends words, differences. Creator God is peace in the silent seed wisdom. Heavenly Fathers put Earth at the center of the Universe, falsely. Transcend in peace.
The one true Heavenly Father placed the one true planet at the one true center of the Universe. Sadly this is not true. Honest natural real 3D Creator God resides in silence, in the seed wisdom that creates all life. Truth transcends words, pictures, videos, IOUs, 2D fantasy, Utopia. Truth is silent, in practice. Transcend.
It fell short, they have many ineffective ways that are not structured as well as the Abrahamic law, commandments and statutes. Abrahamic is effective, Christins and Muslims make up of 4 billion people, and that’s on all continents, while Hindusim and Buddhism which Buddha was a practicing Hindu, so he’s still under the tree branches and over the roots of the sanatana dharma that originates from the Vedas, there isn’t that much he came out originally, most of his works are attributed to the Hindu Gods, Shiva and Vishnu are shown talking to him in the samayutta Nikaya, and they are galactic Gods, while Sakka and Brahma are low to the ground gods who take up no greater appearance than some angels and demons in Christianity. You can combine both Hindus and Buddhist around the world and you still wouldn’t topple Christianity population, and there is just as much Muslims as well. Both religions use the bible and Quran as their center pieces. And it works. With Islam, peace.
I didn't even have to watch this. The reason is because the main tenet of Buddhism is not about interacting or appeasing any god. It is about not caring what those gods that you and your ilk made up anyway have to say about you living the life you want. I am not a buddhist, but books are a thing

There is no conflict in silence that underlies all words. Silence underlies all tech, codes, pixels, digits. Silence is the powerful language of the Universe. The religions wage wars. Buddhism wages peace.
Sikhism does and Church of Fairness does
If all religions are true, then none of them are
No truer words said. Religion History is right as well. As you said. Still going on today. My God and religion is the best. I keep telling" which one god. " thers so many. I like Buddhism, I like Yeshua and some of he's followers teachings as well. Also Brahma Kumaris. That teach Raja Yoga. I take all three. In my basic life. But iDont mind Judaism in parts. I like the Ancient hindu books, Texts and stories. Their are good sayings in the Quran. Even like the Oriental believes. All have something positive. But also have bad behaviour in all. You have try and read between the lines. Like "One man's medicine is another man's poison."good way to explain Buddhism. 👽👍.
Om shanti.🧘🔱🕉️ ⚪🕉️🔱🧘...
Buddhism wisely accepts all cultures from all over the world, but it does not access beliefs and ideas in the name of religion or God understanding their being thought constructs and being away from religion.
Dukh Samuday Nirodh Magga:
Sorrow, its arising, its ceasing, and the Way.
- Buddha.
Buddhism is more philosophy than religion mate... You can think of them like some student worship their long dead beloved teacher in Metro Exodus.
💜💜💜
Lucky for me that the Tara spirit doesn't follow this rule and she helps everyone who is spiritually driven.
It a starting point in the Discovery of self then God. A starting point only. Look to the Gnostics then The Christian path for a good path forward.
Your video and Buddhist knowledge was good. But your historical facts were not right. In india, there were no religious wars.
Buddhism accepts other religions. Buddhists...not so much. Especially in Laos...if you're Lao, you're expected to be Buddhist.
Good point 😅☸️
This also explains why The Shaolin temples teach kung fu to non believers?
Cose are in the best positions ? is the best lifestile? I think yes. People are jelous.
This explains the marriages between Western and South East Asian couples?

Hi guys, i love your content! But please, check the AI generated images before putting them in the video, so the Buddha has 5 fingers on his hand in stead of six. Like i said, I love your channel and recommend it to all my friends who want to know more about Buddhism, itś just the details ✌🙏
I have a feeling even the things he is saying is AI generated to be honest
But how long until I can do a hadouken?
I do not agree. The Buddha was a revolutionary and agitator, shaking up what had become a stale, out of touch religion, entrenched in an oppressive caste system. In the Brahmajāla Sutta he annihilates 62 wrong views, so no, the Buddha absolutely did not just accept other religions and philosophies. He firmly establishes himself as the Tathagata.
Very True. His way is the ONLY WAY
Buddha is supreme above all. He is the only teacher to all mankind and God. His way is the only way. Not just a religion 🙏🏽
@@ssachlescrutolf nonsense
Buddhism doesn’t proselytize.
Why?... simply because they do not really know the very essence of God as a spiritual concept. They think and conceive God as a personal caring God, which is obviously NOT.
Unfortunately Buddhism died in India
Anthroposophy doesn't?
Hinduism also accepts all religion, stop with the clickbaity aah thumbnail.
No Islam allows Any religion to be what it is. And its about one step at a time. There is One God and Only one God. About whats in your heart Not what comes from your mouth.
False, The followers of Islam used to kill anyone of the different faith or make it impossible for them to live. They even do this today.
This video wrong about Hindu
I’m curious, why do you seem to be measuring the effectiveness or worth of various practices by the number of people practicing them?
Budhisam is ok but it is false there is heaven and hell everlasting GOD ALLMIGHTY JHVH JESUS CHRIST and the other one

I didn't even have to watch this. The reason is because the main tenet of Buddhism is not about interacting or appeasing any god. It is about not caring what those gods that you and your ilk made up anyway have to say about you living the life you want. I am not a buddhist, but books are a thing
