      Oh yes! Too much introductory yakking and I go someplace else. There's one guy who _introduces_ other crofters and I've never yet watched one of his videos. Not only are his videos invariably 90 minutes long but he talks and interrupts and - well, you know.

    this is such a great video in so many ways, the best part actually is that barn is using a cheap bahco axe. i see sooooo many people go nuts about having to get the most fancy and expensive handforged carving axe and so on. But in reality you can make beautiful spoons with simple cheap tools

    • @somatder

    • @robertcole7874
      @robertcole7874 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The only real difference you will see from an expensive axe and a cheap one is, the fit and finish. I personally love making something "my own" as I say. Ill spend a couple of days playing with a cheap axe and the edge, polish and handle will be just as good as a hundred dollar axe

      @@robertcole7874I was gifted a quality carving axe and the difference is remarkable, it geometry is perfect and makes accurate work effortless. I found hardware store axes fine for small things like spoons but for sculpture a good carving axe helps massively.
