  • This is one of Gambia's popular breakfast Porridge. Some may call it Arraw, Pap, Rui or Carraw. I used to
    go buy it very early in the morning in Banjul for my breakfast. I used to always want to be one of the first
    person in line as soon as the older lady gets it out to sell. Like I mentioned in the video I enjoy my pap without
    milk but I don't mind adding milk as well they both delicious. Leave me a comment below and let me know how
    you like to enjoy your Arraw Pap/Rui.
    Someone reminded me of the lady's name i used to go and buy my Arraw Pap. her name is Aunty Kinteh she used to live in Allen Street in Banjul between Allen Street and Louvell Street. Lamin Kunda.
    I hope you enjoy this video. I will see you on my next upload.
    Thanks For Watching. Subscribe, Like and Share

    To watch you cook is soothing and Most of your recipes looks similar to the ones we eat in northern Nigeria 🇳🇬, we call it kunun bororo and we enjoy it with sugar and yoghurt 😋😋😋.

    Ruye is my fav OMG and I need to learn how to make it from scratch 💃🏽. Haha you’re right! Lemon or lime is a must. And if you don’t have it you can add some baobab dissolved in water! And girl I need some carnation and milk powder too 😂😂. I am gonna get the millet powder and try your method from scratch. Thanks for this masterpiece ❤️

    Sis I got my Arraaw at Halal Meat Market and brother said they use it also for Chakary and I added sour cream and vanilla flavor but I did not know to boil water then at it I added arraw and as you know it was smoth like regular porridge , me my husband said it raste like Chakary.
    I was so sad because I made Chakary before maybe and it came out excellent. I do not remember what I used
    I like your porridge it is prefect

    • @DadasFoodCraveKitchen
      @DadasFoodCraveKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are different types of arraw. One to make the porridge "pap" and one for chakary. The one used for the chakary is much harder and dry it's also smaller in size and it's mixed with corn which you just add boiling water and butter. The Arraw Pap you have to boil the water and add it in the pot and cook like porridge and some will break off but not all of them you can still see the arrow ball like in this video. Go through my channel and see my chakary video and compare the different. Let me know how it turned out for you next time and thanks again for watching. Appreciate it 🙏
