"It pains me to see that the 2 young boys whom I taught the 10 commandments have grown up to have filthy mouths and bad hearts! Now get out! And don't come back until you have redeemed yourselves!" Floats backwards and door closes by itself.
@indigohammer5732 this was the first time I ever heard that line, and I’ve watched this movie what seems like 100’s of times. i instantly thought, yup, the 70’s. Wheaton, to be exact.
Yes she was my heart was broken when I found out she passed away. I remember watching as told by Ginger. Her character ms.gordon had passed away. I cried when Carl cried.
I read a review of this wonderful movie just the other day from a film critic, and he brought up a good point: the Catholic church wouldn't have had to pay taxes on that property in the first place, so the whole damn movie is unnecessary! 🙂
Well, at first glance, I'd agree with you. But not so fast-- it could be that the nun's religious order was the owner, not the diocese (the broader Catholic Church), in which case, they may still be taxed if no longer operating an orphanage, church, or school. She said the church wasn't interested in it, so it could be the order tried to sell it to the church, they didn't want it, and the only recourse is for the order to sell to whomever will buy it. Just a thought, as has happened this way many times in the past few decades among religious orders, their buildings sold off and 'repurposed' as apartments, condos, bed and breakfasts, etc. Could be. Just a thought. Great movie in any case. 😄
@@donr5593and rightly so. Tax exemptions for religious organizations in the biggest scam in society! They should lose their exemptions simply because of their political activism!
Imagine tumbling down the stairs wedged into a child's schooldesk. Jake survived so many extreme calamities without batting an eye
It's called cocaine
He grew up in a Catholic orphanage and has been in and out of prison his whole life. A tumble down the stairs is nothing.
@@ianfinrir8724 You appear to be confusing the actor's persona with reality
@@BachelorChowFlavour OP referred to the character, not the actor. Therefore I replied with the character's backstory.
This movie is just chock full of classic scenes like this!
Took my dad to see this when I was 10 , and he laughed his ass off.
woah, you took your dad?
What a classic Blues Brothers clip this is. Such a great movie.
This movie is national treasure.
Elwood slouching in his chair is so funny; no way that would have been tolerated by the nun when the brothers were little!

“Well then, I guess you really up S*** Creek!” 😂😜

Christ, Jake, take it easy!
Do you think that the female actor playinng the nun might have started to enjoy delivering that beating?
Curtis: "Boys, you gotta learn not to talk to nuns that way!"
Me: "My thoughts exactly, Curtis!"
Well the penguin was up shit creek with no paddle
He and the Penguin were only family they got.
1:49-Fuck this noise man!

"I'll be sent to The Missions...Africa...Latin America...Korea..."
"Forget it 5 grand no problem we'll have if for you in the morning let's go Elwood"
At least Curtis was glad to see them.

The penguin pack a mean ruler lol
Kathleen freeman was a great actress

General bercalters sister. Hogan Heroes.
And we can ask, what passes now for comedy?

They didn’t want to keep it!
It would if The Democrats have anything to say.

Weather the Nun Sister was nice mean or both!
I really felt bad for the Nun though I would just say yes mam sister!
She spoke softly but carried a big stick... err, ruler.
bad attitudes!
You ain't an American if you don't like this movie .
the nun has a wedding ring, she's taking work from the choir boys
No, she is not. Catholic nuns wear a wedding band to show their commitment to Jesus.
Exodus 20:7,
Getting smacked with the ruler , yardstick been there I went to a catholic school. Penguins suck
Lmao .
Sadly, I have met a few nuns who are just like this.
Been there , I got it often . On the hands .
