It was a dream come true to interview Angela Cartwright. As a kid I absolutely adored her in everything she did, especially The Sound of Music and Lost in Space. It was so heartwarming to discover that childhood fame didn’t destroy her. She grew up to be as warm, kind and wonderful as I had always imagined her to be. I hope you enjoy this very special episode of our show as much as I did. And thank you for watching!!

Wow! I thought I had seen all of your interviews but I somehow missed this! Angela Cartwright was an unbelievable scene stealer on The Danny Thomas Show. She and Rusty Hamer were legends on that show and I felt they carried it. Very sad at what happened with Rusty.

What a down-to-earth creative lady who keeps close connections, has positive things to say about all she worked with (which is such a credit to beloved history), and stays involved with her many artistic endeavors. Angela Cartright is an inspirational pro and so is her interviewer, the ever-evolving Sir Harvey!

@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 I am about 7 months older than her, so I was really young watching that show. I enjoyed how she came across as a real, unspoiled person.
I wanted to ask you how you decide what questions to ask. Is it just what you always wanted to know?

This interview is so much fun! I have always been taken with Angela Cartwright!
I have read how reviewers considered Christopher Plummer to be the weak link in The Sound Of Music. Are they crazy? Just like Angela says, Christoper worked against the sweetness & light. I was wary of him when I was small and his stern presence absolutely made the movie! My opinion is CW was absolutely captivating in TSOM! And again, he offered what the movie needed. A contrast to the cotton candy surrounding the rest of the film. Thought the movie really wasn't made of that. There was no ick factor. Everyhing was toned down, from wardrobe to this, to that. . I loved Charmain Carr & Rolf. Frederick, and Brigitta, the sweetest Von Trapp. "That is Angela Cartwright!", I would say to my little self watching on the big screen. The Sound of Music Scrapbook is awesome.
For myself, i have the distinction of being 5 days younger than Angela Cartwright. Angela, 9/9/52. Gary 9/13/52. We two Virgos have seen the very same parade of life go by...

Harvey, another good interview! I've loved Angela and had a crush on her back when she played Penny! I have the recent Lost in Space book but don't want to mess it up but will go through it. Also, going back to one of your earlier interviews, I believe Hedy Lamarr owned a big house they used for some exterior shots in The Sound of Music!
