Honestly, I could see it as a Routw 1 bug, especially as they have actually been cool lately. I could also see it as a Pseudo Legendary. It just gives off Goodra vibes, ya know?
Dragon is way to OP early on though, since it resists a lot. It resists Fire, Water, Grass, Bug, Fighting and Electric. It would essentially only be weak against Rock, Fairy and Dragon and all of those types you generally don't find early on. The only weakness you will find early on is Flying. So unless the early bug reaches its final stage at lvl 25/lvl 30, Dragon would be way to op (But if it reaches final stage at lvl 25/30, you cannot speak about the early bug anymore).
@@nickdentoom1173 First the dragon type is not that strong it only resist fire water grass and eletric also the bug type is the wakest in the game so having a dragon so early is not as bad, Second early bug types have been getting stronger and they are evolving later as well orbeetle for exemple fully evolves at level 30 and you can catch in the first route
I've thought of doing a prehistoric region with True Fossil Restoration as the gimmick so it's nice to see you going forward with it as a concept. I personally like the name Professor Cycad or Professor Ginkgo as both are famous prehistoric plants. Something that could be fun is with every time you find a new fossil to revive, you have the choice of either reviving it the traditional way with the additional rock typing, or the true restoration method. There would be benefits and drawbacks to both methods.

I think it is really awesome, but I wouldn't worry about a design ever being too cool for route 1. If you wanted to, you could do what they did in the alola region, and have a requirement to get the final evolution. Perhaps you need to be in a lava cave or something so that it is warm enough to evolve hatch. Also the final form looks fantastic, but I wish that the color palette was a little bit more limited. Pokemon designs rarely have that many colors incorporated. But it still looks absolutely amazing.
I don't know how you could something like a Bug/Dragon Fakèmon look super cute instead of terrifying and intimidating, but you did it. That said OMG DRAGUISE IS SUCH A CUTE LITTLE CRITTER!!! I love it!!
For the possible Pseudo-Legendary, Base it off of The Brachiosaurus and the Apatosaurus, Two very well-known Sauropod Dinosaurs. Their size and overall strength can translate really well into a Pseudo

Incredible work, you more than out did yourself there. And it just gave me an idea you could if you want to. Maybe your regions other gimmick (mega evolution, z-moves, etc.) is that the prehistoric Pokémon could have the ability to evolve into a more modern time form. for example, aerodactyl could change into a psychic/rock type by it learning the psychic properties in rocks. Essentially dino Pokémon being stuck in modern times and evolving into a form more suited in that time without following aerodactyl’s evolution into most bird Pokémon. But either way it’s your decision and I’m just wanting to give something unique ideas to other, similar to a muse of inspiration.

So my team so far is: Plickikull and 2 Draguise (I love Caterpie and Draguise reminds me of him, so I’ll one I don't evolve as a cuddle buddy, and one I have on my team to evolve)
I think this route one bug is the perfect amount of cool. My favorite pokemon is beedrill which is a route one bug type pokemon. They don't make route one bugs like they used too

It's cool but I would make the final form difficult to evolve because it is a dragon type and most bug types are supposed to be easy to evolve while the dragon type is the opposite because it takes the longest to evolve
In my opinion I think the final evo shouldn’t be dragon type because the whole point of the bug is that it is pretending to be a snake, I just think it could be like a gyarados situation where it isn’t a dragon but looks like one. I have to say it does look very cool though, and I would add it to my team

You could do a flying route pokemon based on a Tapejara, Pterodactyl, Dimorphodon.
