"And the tradition of the Egyptians says the same, concerning it (matter). The divine Iamblichus, for example, says that Hermes, too, believes that materiality is produced from substance. It is possible, thus, that Plato has also taken from Hermes this opinion regarding matter."
    Proclus, On Timaeus 2.386.9-14

wow, thx. hey, i wonder: do u prepare or edit the subtitles/transcript? i noticed even w "exotic" words they r w/o errors which is often not the case compared to other channels.

I definitely edit things to be error free. Usually every 4th sentence is a double-take, especially in philosophical texts where sentences span over the length of a paragraph and it's impossible to know where the stress goes until you've read it through. So far the hardest texts I've had to read are Pico's De Ente et Uno, Pseudo-Dionysius, and some of the Thomas Taylor stuff.

2:41 OMG. This is the flickering sun with the eye in the center. In 2013 I didn't know about those symbols yet and I made a tea with Pieris Japonica (beware it's a poisonous plant and can cause cardiac arrest) from our garden I thought it was blueberry because there were several types of plants growing next to one another together with blueberry and salal. I picked some of all in generous amounts. I made a concoction in a large cooking pot and then drank this very strong tea over the course of the evening. I started out laughing a lot while washing dishes. Then I was sewing in the living room and began leaning sideways not even wondering why then I stared into the middle of the living room and all of the sudden there was this flickering sun which was alive and conscious and in the middle of the sun was the eye of the Blue God the way I always paint him and his eyes rectangular cubic in shape. I was not surprised to see that because of the mental state I was in. The Blue God was telling me something energetically looking right at me. The way it felt was sort of like Make your decision now whether you want to live this existence or not it is up to you I'm always here for you no matter what you do. My body didn't want to die at all. The only thing within the many layers of astral, ether, corpus, soul I think it was just the suffering Ego that was tired of it all. Then came the slowing down of my heart rate. My body started to panic and I walked into the kitchen like I was drunk. I cried out to Paul who guided me to the recliner chair where I collapsed into almost cardiac arrest. He called my name many times and shook my shoulders. I came into consciousness and asked him to give me Dr. Schulze's charcoal the intestinal formula number 3 which saved my life. The ambulance had to come and pick me up which was a mistake I could have made it through alone but I didn't know. One hour of ICU and I was able to walk back out of the hospital.

Well you got one thing kind of right, but the arrogancy is far from justified.
Iamblichus (ca. 242-ca. 325) was a Syrian Neoplatonist and disciple of Porphyry of Tyre, the editor of Plotinus’ works. One of the three major representatives of early Neoplatonism (the third one being Plotinus himself), he exerted considerable influence among later philosophers belonging to the same tradition, such as Proclus, Damascius, and Simplicius. His work as a Pagan theologian and exegete earned him high praise and made a decisive contribution to the transformation of Plotinian metaphysics into the full-fledged system of the fifth-century school of Athens, at that time the major school of philosophy, along with the one in Alexandria.
It's an excerpt of his writing being read here.

Hermes = Thoth. Greeks ruled in Egypt from the time of Alexander the Great until it was taken by the Roman Empire (under whose rule it remained Greco-Egyptian). The Greeks simply translated the names of foreign gods into their own.
