I have the same model for 2 years and yes it cools the air down 20 degrees. I use it on the patio when I am working outside, it really helps on 90+ degree days.

Nice! Look forward to seeing how that keeps up with the heat for the rest of the summer.

Will do. You know, in the winter I will use it indoors to give some humidity...it gets down to 5% while running the heater. As of right now, been running the swamp cooler in the garage and it has lowered the temp about 8 degrees. I have it on "medium"...about 350 watts.

I had a regular fan in my garage 90° outside it felt like it was throwing 90° air. My kids could not keep cool even with the garage door open. I purchased this at Home Depot me and my kids love it worth the money no more sweating I stand in front of it you will cool down strong blower. You can feel it from a good distance totally recommend for a garage or outside patio.

Congrats. I LOVE mine. Got it going right now. Gotta keep the space open and ventilated. Closing these units off in a garage will just make it sticky humid. I just crack the garage doors 4" each and run the attic fan.

@ChrisDIYerOklahoma Bro, that should be the title of the video, lol. Glad I went deep in the comments section.

Nice!! Way less power than running an AC! Plus lots of air moving too!

Ran into a problem tho! The float valve isn't shutting off the garden hose...so, the reservoir overfilled and leaked. I contacted the vendor via Amazon and they have a new replacement float valve (like in a toilet type of deal) on order for me. Aside from that (I have to turn off the garden hose and watch the level now...and top off the reservoir) it works.

By the looks of one of the items on your wall I’m gonna assume you are in Arizona? What time of year did you shoot this video? If in AZ, how is that swamp cooler holding up during a humid hot summer day? I have a 750sq ft detached insulated garage with a 8 foot ceiling. The main garage door facing south, but gets a good portion of the sun throughout the day. I just insulated the garage doors last weekend. Hoping not to have to run a mini split so just looking for options. I do have a 5400cfm swamp cooler that works ok when humidity is low under 25%. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Im looking at getting one to cool my garage in the summer because i have about 1,000sqft of house on top of it. Im hoping itll cool the garage enough to help decrease the heat passing thru to the house. Youve had this vid up for a year. Do you still like it? Is it worth it? What would you have done differently?

I do. I changed out the three pads a few months back. The stock water pump was replaced too (my fault). The swamp cooler works optimally with lower ambient humidity levels and venting my garage (I leave the two garage doors cracked and have attic fans to keep the air moving). If I close the garage doors...all it does is push the humidity up in the garage (and makes it worse). I used to use additives to the water basin...big mistake. All it did was clog the pump and ruin the pads. All it needs is just straight garden hose water for best results. Good luck...I am happy with mine, keeps the garage much cooler and workable.
