I bought one for my husband’s shop. Works great when you put ice water in it
Good to know!
Love college students one threw one of these out when they were leaving, it is now in my room.
nice
The whole time we were just looking to here the fan 😂
👍
would have been nice if you turned it on so we could get an idea of the sound level.....you just said it was really really loud....
you still cant judge sound level by a mic recording.
So it's safe to use inside a house. I thought they had to be used in open areas. I'm looking for an alternative to cool down my mobile home
It’s great man no regrets
@@AngelicaTjAdventures I actually have 3 Hessaire coolers and love all of them. A key thing that you need to do if you want to use them inside is to either cover up the side intake vents or built a duct so that these will pull in air from the window behind the cooler. If you don't do this, you may find that the air coming out of the cooler in your home will get too humid. If the side vents aren't blocked or set up to pull air from outside, the cooler will pull in inside air that is much more humid than outside air.
@@bernarddouthit4647 def of course.
@@bernarddouthit4647 ya i dont find its an issue when i run it with the air conditioner on, or i have my windows open
Do NOT use any swamp cooler inside of your house / mobile home, etc. OUTSIDE use only.
Nothing like rusting out everything in your house, I have one of these strictly for my patio, and it works great here in Arizona until the humidity increases.
? Our stuff is fine
Run a Dehumidifier with it!
The key is to be smart enough to know that you need AIR EXCHANGE. And Evaporative coolers are useless in already humid environments.
We’re in the Southern Sierra Mountains. In the Summer our Humidity runs around 20%. Because we’re right next to a river. Up away from the river the Humidity is typically 8-10% on a hot day. It’s a dry beet if the saying. We’ve been using evaporative coolers for 50 years with NO PROBLEMS. You MUST have some windows and doors open just a bit.
Great video. Thank you! Would you please post an annual review?
sure
I stored this contraption indoors through the winter. When I brought it back out this summer, the water pump took a few hours to start working again--I thought the pump was broken initially. It's working fine now, but I'm not sure it will survive another year in storage.
TIP: The oscillator should ALWAYS be on; otherwise, mold builds up really quickly inside the cooler. The oscillator is actually terrible at circulating air in the house, but very necessary to constantly condition the cooler's substrate pads
I have an issue with mine where it can’t seem to cool down unless it’s around an open window or open door. I mainly use it for the garage but always have to leave a crack. If it is enclosed it get very humid
That’s basically how it works u need additional ventilation or else it will get humid
@@AngelicaTjAdventures what if I get a dehumidifier?
it should work.
@@tysonvassar7609 That would be pointless. Dehumidifier put's out a lot of heat. That's how it removes moisture from the air.
@@AngelicaTjAdventures "additional ventilation" will bring MORE moisture into your house.
Might you be able to help me. I just put water in but I don't hear the trickling of the water like normal. Got any hints for me to try? 😊
u only hear the trickle if its not full
These are not for indoor use bcus of the water it creates moisture in the home which will eventually lead to mold. So I would reccomend you use these for outdoor use only. There's a commercial ad that also tells you not to use indoors.
cool works fine for us
Swamp coolers also are water on top of homes
Would that work good in a small bedroom?
its very windy and loud
Are you supposed to run the pump the whole time you’re using it ?
no u dont have to. its a basic fan with evap capabilities
Omg, why did I watched this video! I purchased one for my garage office because I had o wait for my AC replacement. I turned it on, with the water and everything. Come back 20 minutes later and my glasses fogged up. It was hotter inside than outside. It smelled bad and everything got moist. I returning this thing!
cool i mean its not an air conditioner.
The key is to be as sharp as the tool you’re using.
It’s meant to be used outdoors 😂
Did you have your windows open
Did u use cold water? And your only supposed to use the water when outdoor.
can you please show us how to replace the water pump.
thanks
Maybe eventually if it ever fails but the company has a video on it
For maximum cooling and less humid air, if I have a large window should I set this cooler 10ft away from the window pointing out the window or set it at the window pointing in the house?
2nd option. Have it pointing inside the house
Thanks for your review. Do you have to have this with an open door directly in back of it while it's running?
its recommended
Can you run the water hose direct to it?
of course thats one of the main benefits
Can you use it without having it plugged in 24/7?
what do u mean
@@AngelicaTjAdventurescan it be charged up and unplugged so it can be taken anywhere or does it have to be plugged in to work regardless?
@@Phoenix-i3z no but u could use a portable battery
Is this product good for a 2 car garage?😅
ya
I've noticed this video is a couple years old. Is it still holding up?
love it
@@AngelicaTjAdventures Since you had it for a while, what is the easiest way to fill the water tank? You unplug and Cooler and take it to the nearest home hose everytime to fill the water tank?
Yeah, that’s usually the easiest way or I just keep a couple of 1 gallon containers around
The newest version of this one has everything this one has, but has a hose attachment too. For $387.
mines has it to
They have a chart, but these are tricky to use inside. Really only effective when it’s dry and in dry climates. Humid climates they are not very effective at cooling. Around 50%+ humidity the cooling drops off and fast.
I don’t think this is a comfortable solution in a humid climate at all. Better off with a modest size window A/C or portable A/C which also removes moisture from the air.
👍
Great video! n_n
thanks
Turn it ON!!!!

Or show how to fill
U mean u wanted to see me add water?
jUST GOT 1 AT Home Depot.

I can picture you at the store complaining and saying stuff like well your website says you have 5 available, I waited hour-and-a-half for you to look for it, now you telling me you don't have it, you are going to have to do something about it...
fantasizing about us eh im honored
You're filling your house with humidity. This is a very bad idea. Humidity ruins flooring, drywall, etc. Swamp coolers should ONLY be used outside.
Thanks for the tips! our home is fine. if it was humid my wife would have thrown them out and she loves them. works great with an open window or air conditioner is on. my family is from the south we hate humidity
@@AngelicaTjAdventures Opening a window only lets more warm air into your home. Remember hot air moves to cold air. So "opening a window" will flood your house with more warm, humid air. Bad idea. Another bad idea, is turning on your houses's AC while running this swamp cooler. You'd be making your house's AC work even harder by giving it more moisture in the air to have to extract from inside your house. I am not trying to offend you. I am trying to help you. Best thing you can do is ONLY run your house AC. If that is too expensive then install a window AC unit in each room. If that is too expensive then run a portable AC unit and run the vent hose it comes with outside a window and seal around it.
@@YouDontTalkAboutFightClubWhat if your house also has an evap cooler and not ac?
You confused me with ceiling comment
?
You r going to do more business with them as long as they keep giving you discounts Lol
they were extremely helpful we were in the store for about an hour and half. they def went over and above
This is no good without a temp gauge.
Didn’t have one
Not an indoor unit
It’s a fan of course u can
there made for indoor or outdoor use. many businesses use them and its listed in the maual
using one of these like this has to be the most ghetto inefficent waste of water ive ever seen. and yes ive tried it. it does not work.. just get a window mount unit
👍
I got one and they suck
then ur prob using it wrong
My dude, you shouldn’t put inside the house even with open windows
works great man no issues
It definitely increases the humidity indoors, but I don't mind that in a dry city like Denver--average midday summer humidity ~15%
