Pretty obvious, if you know the watch. The band should have contrast with the links. And just looks cheap. The release pushers should be oval, not round. The Sea Horse is just wrong, and too small. The link pins should be screws. This shouldn't fool anyone who's an Omega fan.
The helium escape valve is also in the wrong place. It should be higher on the case. The 12 o'clock lume dot on the bezel isn't centered and is much too large and raised and too low on the bezel. Still, a pretty impressive fake for those that may not know what to look for. This is why I buy from an AD.
I had to answer here because it makes me mad when I see someone trying to tell people why it looks fake like they know what they are talking about so I had to answer here, First this is a 2016 Omega Seamaster with a 2017 SeaMaster dial.. The links where not held with screws, they are held with pins. The release pushers are also round on this model and not ovel like the younger 2017-2018 models.. The band seen here does have polished links on the inside but I guess the camera does not catch it well but if you look close you can see them polished. The helium escape valve is at the 10 o´clock position as it should be. The Sea Horse is the right size also for this 2016 model. I am sure if I saw it in person I would tell right off the bat that it was a fake but from what you guys are saying here, is all wrong. The main give it away fake factor is that on the bracelet it says Planet Ocean.Cheers
now i m woorried. i m about receive an omega seamaster 300m . brand new. what should i look for to make sure i have the real piece in my hands? please , someone , i need help .
Hello. Most notably, you should check the price you paid for it. If it was a real bargain, then chances are it might be a fake. Secondly, thoroughly check the dealer's reviews and other products and see if you can spot any irregularities. Your best bet would be to go to an authorized Omega dealership and have them look at it to see if you've been had. Which seller did you buy it from, and can I ask about the price?
@@henningkleppchristensen2901 , hi. i paid $ 2375 . just an ebay user or seller i v nought it from. it was the only thing he was selling .i had the watch checked already by a shop that sells n buys gold n the guy saud that to him ,it s tge real piece, then i took it to a pawnshop n the attendant implied an offer of $ 1500 for the watch, so right there s that i lerned that the watch s authentic ,otherwise ,at least ,at pawnshop they d v offered me like 50 bucks or some change like that. the reason why i was skeptical about watch being replica s because seller said he got it as a gift ,but he didbt wear watches, he said. reason why he put it up for sell. ,it came w warranty cards, aurhenticity certificate n place where watch was bought from. so, yeah, it seems real, the only thing s that now thay have the seamaster ,it looks very subtle unlike my alpina watches i v had in the past.
Well, the most telltale sign is the "Planet0cean" engraving on the clasp. :D Someone attached the wrong bracelet on the Seamaster. Even a real Planet Ocean doesn't have that on the clasp.
@@benevolentautore4463 i have a real one with the silver bezel insert which i changed for an after market blue insert. a lot of people do that but its still a real Omega.
It is an excellent replica and not an imitation, there are details that distinguish it from the original such as clockwise, however it is still a beautiful watch at a better price. Thanks for sharing it, greetings.
i have seen higher grade of fake replica watch much better than this fake. i think urs worth like $100. where as the high grade fake replica selling $500 + looks 99% alike even the mechanical system
@@zbignevbjejinski4267 why not. I can actually buy a few replica with the price of one genuine watch. Why are people fixated with owing and paying $500 + for a inferior copy of a watch $200- $400 you can buy a real watch deep blue or islander i own both fantastic watches.. my deep blue is much better than my planet ocean and cost 10 %
Really good fake. I own the real one and the helium release perfectly aligned with the 50.....the real one is noticeably at the 11 o’clock. Having said that. It’s still a nice fake. I would have a difficult time telling if I didn’t have the real one to compare
Replica? It's obviously a fake with the Helium valve at the 50. I have one and I paid for it, the people buying this garbage are just posers. You have more respect from me by buying a Casio calculator watch.
The lume pip gives it away immediately. Also painted logo with applied indices. I could be wrong, but it's either all applied or all printed.
The dead on 50 mark with valve gives it away.
Very remarkable second hand movements though 😮😮
Is it Heavy
I've always said if you can't afford a real one purchase a good faith and it will give you motivation to reach your desired goal outcome

One sure way is to examine the Balance wheel on the back of the insides, no screw, then it's a Fake.
