- After a brief stand-off the driver of a luxury vehicle surrendered his license to SAICT enforcers and was issued a ticket with multiple violations - after initially being stopped for passing through the exclusive EDSA Busway.
This driver is one of many that was apprehended during the enforcement operation.
Well,, that last apprehension should silence a FEW HUNDRED critics who claim they only stop motorcycles..

well, the only reason people notice that it's mostly MCs is because of the amount of MCs going through it. usually it's only less than 10 cars that are apprehended per day compared to 20-30 (or probably even more) MCs.

I’ve noticed that most of the motorcycle hailing violators are from Move it and Joyride…I suggest MMDA to summon this companies or cooperate with MMDA that if there are violations from their riders…they suspend this drivers or if done multiply violations ban this drivers…

@@GadgetAddict that is somewhat a conundrum - not carrying the OR/CR of a vehicle may mean worst things: unregistered, stolen, faked documentation, carnapped and so on. Not carrying the vehicles OR/CR should weigh heavier on the impoundable side. Besides, countless times motorcycles are impounded due to owners were not carrying their OR/CRs why make an excemption now?

it's a land cruiser. it's worth more than 5M. the 5k penalty is nothing to rich people.

There should be a visible and physical timer which begins at the moment of apprehension once the timer expires if the license is not been handed over then the driver subject to arrest and the vehicle for impounding. Having a driver occupy an enforcers attention for 20 to 30 minutes is simply unacceptable and a waste of public funds
Touching an officer should be considered assault. They should have added assault to the violations of that lady driver for assaulting the female officer.

Good thing there was quick action and update regarding this traffic violator. Unlike the one wherein there is a senator that is involved. That one has gone completely off the radar and no update has been given since then

I think Gadget Addict is somehow protecting these enforcers based on his response to other comments. He's an auditor so he should know very well the rules for impounding vehicles. How did the enforcers verified that the LC is registered then if they did not show ORCR when we all know that's the only document as proof of registration. Now I know GA is not doing this as public service but rather as a pure content creator with his MMDA/LTO friends as the protagonists.
What special treatment? That LC had a plate. Unlike most MC that doesn't have a plate, doesn't have or/cr AND doesn't have a license. Your name should also be changed to "crybaby MC rider"

If he was given special treatment, then he is one among many, because I've seen the same thing happen with many motorcycle riders - unless there was a mitigating factor.
In fact just tonight, they apprehended a motorcycle in main avenue, also bus lane violation, unable to show OR/CR and he drove away with just a ticket, same as the LC in this video 🤷

@@ivangatla2293 I think this will not be possible since you will need a couple of towing trucks parked in a busy EDSA apprehending them in a bus lane then it will cause additional traffic, unlike the clearing operations they are continuously moving once they are done in a certain area..

Failure to carry ORCR should have been impounded, right? Though, that's not necessarily mean the vehicle is not indeed registered. Verification can now be done online. Lawmakers should push for this.

It is highly recommended that if an ambulance abuses the bus lane, the LTO and MMDA should remove their license to operate...PERIOD. Let's see how many will comply with this law. It's crazy!!!

Did you forget that a plate number is part of documentation? The plate number is verifiable within seconds in the LTO database. It's not the same as an MC with no plate AND no OR/CR AND non license on top of that

IMHO, the penalties should be amended to include prison time for a minimum of 1 year (non-bailable). Also, if the license won't be surrendered within 5 minutes, that should lead to a minimum of 1 year imprisonment (non-bailable).
I realize there already have been an increase in the violations amount but that does not seem to deter drivers, especially motorcycles. Why not increase more? Or yet, create a two-tier system. A daylight penalty and a darkness penalty. An increased penalty for hours when it's dark. The reason being because of the possibility of an accident with injuries or worse that could happen, not just to motorist but enforcers as well. Also maybe double the penalties for MC taxis because they are putting their passengers at risk as well.

Mc taxi operator should be notified about their riders who are the most offenders on the edsa bus lane. If they can't discipline their riders then they should be penalized or worst denied business permit.

You will see a lot of LandCruisers and Patrols with blinkers in the province of Laguna, Batangas, and Cavite. They are accompanied every day by the police and HPG. They don't respect highway rules.

SAICT should get the id's of those tnvs and coordinate with their respective company and have them file a complaint. Most of the mc violators are tnvs'.
They should report to the MC taxi company the name and mc plate number and what violation and to be seminar again

The thing that lacks is Manpower. Since the Supreme Court restrained the use of No contact apprehension. Officers have to physically be at the scene to enforce rules.

Those wearing closed sandals or footwear thats like the design of crocs, should be ticketed with wearing slipper because the fact that they didnt put on the lock from the ankle part of the sandals, so technically its a sandals/slippers.
Not sure if im correct but the requirement of wearing shoes or closed toe or not to wear slippers is so that it wont fall down/slip or get caught on something, the crocs like footwear are prone to slip when wet esp.moisture from foot can cause it to slip

If I were riding inside the bus lane I will not hide to our enforcers out there, I will just drive strait to the side and hand over the documents to them and accept my mistake.

My unsolicited idea to solve this is to add a light rail system with dedicated stops, with baricades/ cyclones for a faster and more uninterrupted system. only problem I see is 1. cost 2. where to put the stations that preserves the current bus route
they should make them remove those blinkers on the spot like they ask motorcycle riders to remove other accessories that are not allowed. otherwise, they should impound those vehicles.
It is obvious though that getting a violation ticket is not an effective deterrent. All these efforts and risks the SAICT are undergoing everyday is just going in vain, I hope the proper authorities come up with a really effective one that these violators would think twice about violating. So disrespectful.

Got to do it, better one than none. Just really have to increase the fines, confiscate their license, & mandatory driving school & pass a re-test before their license can be given back. I think that will work cuz, when its nuisance to get something back, the lesson will be learned. If not again? The 2nd time, impound the vehicle & go through the process again. Just have to have every branch of LEO agency coordinate to really get these drivers/riders to conform to the law. Or is it just a government ineptness. Great job GA.

revise penalties. impound na lang kagad motor kapag bus lane violator. nakakasawa na paulit-ulit lang panghuhuli tapos hindi natututo. yung iba proven multiple violations na. mukang malaki kita ng mga kapatid nating motorcycle riders kasi binabaliwala lang yung ₱5k na fine. well, assuming na binabayaran talaga nila yun.
