    You will not receive max download speeds (at least on Xfinity) if the router is not DOCSIS 3.1. Most of these routers you are reviewing as the best, are DOCSIS 3.0. I have the NetGear C700v2, which is a 3.0 and after many weeks of back and forth with Xfinity, it was told to me by two different higher level techs, that my router needs to be a DOCSIS 3.1; because my router is only a DOCSIS 3.0, my max speeds are only going to get to 400mbps.

      I had the same router NTGR 7000v2 and fastest I got was about 650-its advertised up to 600. Sadly, it died (burning smell and loss of connection), so I picked up the Arris 36... No regrets, over 900 now...

    The NETGEAR CAX80/AX6000 should be number 1 on this list. I've had it for about a month now and no complaints. I hear some people say the Motorola MT8733 is better than the CAX80. I have to disagree with that statement. The MT8733 has piss poor WiFi speeds and signals on both bands.

      I have the same CAX80 and xfinity plan of up to 800mbps, right now I'm getting around 400mbps and I have an issue with uploads, I installed the latest firmware from the webpage and still have the issue. Have you encountered something similar?

      Mine has same issue until I updated the firmware. Make sure you are working with Netgear. They will get it right. Avoid the armor protection. I had my free trial disabled. Also before I did the firmware I reset it.

    NETGEAR Nighthawk offers swift setup, combining modem and router functionalities seamlessly. Fast, reliable Wifi 5 speeds make it ideal for remote work. Its size demands a spacious spot. Overall, a solid choice.

    I'll never buy another Netgear product. The customer service is horrible and the warranty is pathetic

    #1 Seems like the best choice for me since I mostly go for mid-high tech.
    I can get the appeal of the higher-end stuff but I think I can live with my limbs intact in the same way I have my computers be mid-high in terms of their build.

    Stay away from Arris if you need SIP ALG turned off in order to work from home.

      What's sip alg?

    • @mightymulatto3000
      @mightymulatto3000 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Dachamp2001 SIP alg modifies packets that pass through most NAT networks that you'll find on your modem, but it's been known to cause voice service, quality or outright inability to connect. I had to end up bridging my modem and getting a Netgear router that could have sip disabled. Unfortunately, the Arrris router's outdated firmware doesn't give you the ability to disable it. There is an update but the ISPs rarely ever sends the required update.

      @mightymulatto3000 thank you for clarification. I'm needing a new modem/router had to retire my netgear cm1000v2. Cause I wasn't getting my speed and a few other things. So I ended up getting Comcast modem/router temporarily until I find a suitable replacement.
