I purchased a G34 yesterday and after having weak 5G wifi and slowness Im ready to return it already. My older Netgear Nighthawk worked better and I never had an issue for 4 years. Now I need to replace my Netgear only because the wifi is becoming unstable
Same thing here with the Nighthawk. Worked great for years, but now I am randomly losing wifi for a second to upwards of a minute at a time. Inconsistent packet loss is tough for work and gaming
@preenisgreen they only last 3-5 years on avg. Got a new Nighthawk CAX30 yesterday and it works so fast with no connectivity issues on any of my devices. Can't say the same for the Arris piece of junk right out of the box
Exactly. I took back the Arris piece of junk right out of the box. Got a Netgear CAX30. Had it now for a week and its lightning fast and no connectivity issues. We should get 3-5 years out of it. Arris was 3-5 hours before I had enough
Great question! Most modem-router combos listed should be compatible with Charter Spectrum, but it's always a good idea to double-check the specifications to ensure compatibility.
I own a G34 and I can say that it is total junk, look at the community board and see how many people have issues with it dropping wifi signals. Even if Ethernet attached when it drops wifi you can not access the router, meaning you have to physically unplug the router to reboot it. The community board also shows that the G36 suffers from the same problem. Unless you enjoy heartburn, stay away from these two routers
I can also attest to the G36 being absolute trash. Went through warranty because it kept dropping speeds and was inconsistent, but after getting a BRAND NEW one from Arris, it performed exactly the same. I rented out an Xfinity Xfi Gateway and was blown away by how good it was. Keeping it as a temporary solution before I choose a new one.
Yes, great question! Most modem-router combos are not directly compatible with Verizon Fios since they use a different technology, but it's always best to check the specs for specific models.
Great video. I think I’m going to purchase the CAX30S. I’ve been using a nighthawk AC3200 X6 since 2020. Starting to get weak connections and WiFi drops. Time to invest in this!
DONT BUY G34.........After having many service calls from Cox (over a 6 month period) at my door, we determined the G34 is JUNK. That why I am here now,,,,,trying to find something better

@preenisgreen they only last 3 to 5 years so it is likely the wifi router portion is going bad. Good luck
@@conniedominick6339 then $10/month rental actually seems reasonable to me
Which ones best for Cox?
I have a question do any of these modems work with Charter Spectrum?

Is the 'Netgear C6250' good for gaming? Mainly for games like Fortnite.

I own a G36 and can attest to this. Wish I purchased something else.
So what is recommended?
I’ve owned a g34 for a year and it’s bad but it got worse after moving to a new place, do not buy it.
