I watch almost all your videos and passed this morning. After 4 months of studying, your videos were the perfect tools to review the Information, fill in knowledge gaps, and utilize my study time the last week before my exam. Incredible job on these videos. The visuals are so critical to the learning. Thank you so much

I love the way you explain the concept. Your all videos are in detail and covers every aspect of the process... looks like I dont need to read PMBOK anymore.

Thanks a ton! Yes, I am developing these videos with intentions that you don't need to ready or refer to any other materials except solving question papers to pass the PMP.

Hi , thanks for the details. Can you clarify why we update project documents - ‘Cost forecasts’ and ‘Schedule forecasts’ as part of Monitor and Control Project work Process.. I am totally confused .. if any change required for these baselines, we raise a change request, we don’t update directly right??

Hi Srinivas, forecasts are different than baselines. During monitor and control project work process, PM will perform integrated analysis of all work performance information and forecasts and this information will be converted to work performance reports. Remember you dont need Approved CR to update project documents. Forecasts are part of it and hence no need of CR. However, as a result of bad forecast you may land up raising CR.

You are a project manager of a company and you have been assigned to take over managing a project that should have been 60 percent complete according to the schedule. After evaluation, you discover that the project is running far behind schedule, and that the project will probably take double the time originally estimated by the previous project manager. However, the sponsor has been told that the project is on schedule. What is the BEST course of action you will take?
A.Add new resource to the project and complete the project on schedule.
    B.Show your evaluation to sponsor.
C.Ask your senior manager to deal with this.
D.Turn the project back to the previous project manager.

hi may i ask why the approved change request is not an input for this process ?
And regarding T&T why we are not using PMIS ?

Once the change requested is approved, it need to be implemented. Hence it is input to Direct and manage project work, through which CR is implemented. The purpose of M&C PW is to monitor work, monitoring is done against work planed & in progress. CR monitoring is done through Control Quality processes.

Hence Approved CR is input to Control quality process. Lets understand this through as example. Let's say that a project deliverable was found to be defective, & a CR was submitted to repair the defect. Once approved, the approved change request might be used as an input to the Control Quality process to ensure the defect repair was performed in conformance with quality standards and the repaired deliverable passes any applicable quality control testing
