Hey buddy, this is simply supernatural. It puts you in a zone transcending all wordly turmoil and it almost makes you feel that you are being protected, guarded and guided by a divine presence at all times. You are doing a service knowingly or unknowingly by resting peoples mind in this world which needs it the most. Happy to have found your channel! Best.
Vangelis has done a huge number of albums. Most of them quite in the realm of SciFi. Try Spiral and Albedo 0.39 for a taster. Albedo as I recall is the percentage of light reflected from a celestial body and the Albedo of Earth is 0.39.
@@novasrain2126 YES! I did finish it, only in the way DaVinci told us art is never 'finished' but merely abandoned. Go find it if you are so compelled to. It's a noir mystery after all...
I love both Bladerunner movies. They touch my melancholy soul. But that's just it. That's my take. There are lots of other great sci fi movies. Moon was dope. 2001 pretty neato. Contact. And, yeah, Star Wars appeals to the grade schooler in me f'sho.
Probably my favorite movie of all time, because of the stellar: Soundtrack, actors, scenery and the beyond-action-movie realization that you are being confronted by a powerful, deep question--what makes us human? But even if none of the above had been parts of this stellar, haunting masterpiece, it is still my favorite because it blends two of my favorite genres, brilliantly. '30's detective film noir, set in the future...

Well, we are living through some truly crazy history. So for those who keep whining about being born too early this or that, appreciate what you are living through right now. And maybe take part in history. Hopefully, freedom will prevail.
Thank you so much for all of these. You have no idea how much this means to me. If I could afford a Moog, this is what I would make. Hours upon days of this.
This world won't come to be. Our current way of life isn't sustainable. Before the end of the century massive depopulation will have occurred due to the climate crisis and all the problems it will cause. 2200 will look a lot more like the 18th century than today. The peak of human existence technology wise, it's now and the next maybe 30 years. Oil will run out before the end of the century and that will throw such a wrench in the technological possibilities (without oil the costs to make anything will skyrocket) that the tech will stagnate and possibly even go backward eventually. Revel in your time.

“My soul, where are you? Do you hear me? I speak, I call you - are you there? I have returned, I am here again. I have shaken the dust of all the lands from my feet, and I have come to you, I am with you. After long years of long wandering, I have come to you again. Should I tell you everything I have seen, experienced, and drunk in? Or do you not want to hear about all the noise of life and the world? But one thing you must know: the one thing I have learned is that one must live this life. Do you still know me? How long the separation lasted! Everything has become so different. And how did I find you? How strange my journey was! What words should I use to tell you on what twisted paths a good star has guided me to you? Give me your hand, my almost forgotten soul. How warm the joy at seeing you again, you long disavowed soul. Life has led me back to you. Let us thank the life I have lived for all the happy and all the sad hours, for every joy, for every sadness. My soul, my journey should continue with you. I will wander with you and ascend to my solitude.”
I love the soundtrack we got for 2049, but it could have used more of these long ethereal pieces that appear to be stuck somewhere. Stuck in the atmosphere of the movie maybe? It would have fit the wandering and slow pace of the movie. Would have been a nice contrast to the fog horns.
100+ years of sleeping and waking up. Knowing everyone you know is dead. Staring at a blue dwarf. Tomorrow you land on a planet with a new jungle underneath a blue sky or a white star. This is actually Vangelis' original Blade Runner soundtrack, only slowed down 800% (just guessing the percentage, but that's usually how it's done). Feel like the uploader should have stated that somewhere...

This is some of the most beautiful ambient mixes I've listened to.
the most amazing sci-fi movie of its time! my favorite movie of all time
Not by a long shot. Aesthetically it was above and beyond but as a whole it is nothing like Moon, Interstellar or The Martian.
A fancy evening gown does not a Cinderella make, as is clearly demonstrated by this movie.
