I love that all the sounds stay within the same noise range, a lot of soothing music on youtube always has some random high pitch mixed in with mainly low pitch sounds and its annoying but this is a perfect 2 hour sleep song with no random high pitches or weird transitions, just perfect....thank you! Dr. Elisabeth Shaw. Dared to look Gods in the eye, beat every obstacle and reached for the stars to ask the question. In my mind, she is still rushing through the skies, to one day stand amongst the engineers, as a messenger of the perseverance of mankind.
I too feel it was a huge mistake to kill off Shaw. Her character could have been as rich and multi-faceted as that of Ripley. I looked forward to seeing how Ridley Scott would develop her story. Very disappointing that her story was discarded in favor of jump scares and gore. As to this music, my thanks. I have really been missing the love of my life, who died when I was 17, in a firefight in Vietnam in 1968. I guess this is somewhat normal for people in later life stages to circle back around to these old losses. Somehow this track puts me in a state where I can meditate on his life and what I hope will be a reuniting, somehow, on another plane.

I seriously doubt it. The role is extremely poorly written. A scientist saying "that we don't know, but we choose to believe"? A woman making a self-made C-section? And, what's more, running and jumping several minutes later? In fact, Scott did the character a huge favor by killing her.
Agreed. The 2-dimensional, man-hating dragon tattoo character only uses a fraction of Noomi's talent. Shaw is full of heart and humanity. Maybe they'll pull a Ripley, and clone her.

With all my respect, I think Sigourney Weaver earned her next movies as Ripley after first Alien movie where Noomi Rapace suffered a bit to do the same for sequels. And Michael Fassbender did the same thing where Sigourney Weaver did at Alien. Every first movie is a bit of a pilot, producers and directors try to evaluate the reaction of audience and decide what to do in next movies. Surely, Fassbender as David made an impact as a great "artificial person" role in franchise. Shaw was not looking tough or passionate enough on screen like Ripley or David. I think that's why the serie was headed into that direction. Alien movies need some badass characters. By the way, this sound is amazing, thanks.
Shaw was so Admirable in PROMETHEUS and then we learn she’s killed off by android David in ALIEN COVENANT. Ripley was so heroic in ALIEN and ALIENS but then she’s killed off in ALIENS 3 and is replaced by some floozy version of her in ALIEN RESURRECTION. Rest in Peace and enjoy this as your funeral dirge.

If you want some positive motivation for alien life on a clear day or mildly cloudy day if you want to lay down in the grass visualize space and know it's up there it always help me say we're not alone in the universe.
I guess a wholesome story would have made the Hollywood sort envious. They're can't hold life together much less travel to meet god so we get rape dragons and ax murders. They are mostly pedophile atheists anyway. I enjoyed the criticisms made on red carpet about how the real Hollywood is all homeless and the "stars" have to run away and hide from the workers.
In Ridley Scott's original draft called "Paradise", Shaw was alive and played a significantly larger role. I think the studio pressured Scott to do just another gore fest full of things we've seen before, because a smart film is less likely to make piles of money. David Cove.....I mean Alien Covenant to me was a big disappointment.

Watching that scenery, I had a deja-vu moment, then I have realized that, at least some of the scenes were most likely shot at Milford Sound (NZ).

I guess a wholesome story would have made the Hollywood sort envious. They're can't hold life together much less travel to meet god so we get rape dragons and ax murders. They are mostly pedophile atheists anyway. I enjoyed the criticisms made on red carpet about how the real Hollywood is all homeless and the "stars" have to run away and hide from the workers.
In Ridley Scott's original draft called "Paradise", Shaw was alive and played a significantly larger role. I think the studio pressured Scott to do just another gore fest full of things we've seen before, because a smart film is less likely to make piles of money. David Cove.....I mean Alien Covenant to me was a big disappointment.

@@kevinfromsales6842 Me too, Prometheus took the franchise in an interesting, deeper direction which was all unraveled with the atrocity that is Covenant.
@@mayarosexxx very true. Prometheus is one of those movies that you have to think about and not everything makes sense on the first viewing. The first time I watched it, I wasn't sure how I felt about it. I started to appreciate the depth of the movie as I continued to think about it, watch TH-cam videos about it and watching it a second and third time
