I was having this constant and unbearable anxiety because of university stress. Not until I came across Ted Winston, a very intelligent mycologist, He saved my life honestly.
The trips I've been having have really helped me a lot, I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have a lot more empathy as well
I'm quitting today cold turkey. I'm 47 and smoked cigarettes for 15 years and quit those and started vaping about 6 years ago. I've developed a cough and I have trouble breathing and get short of breath just walking around the house. My doctor told me that vaping is going to cause COPD if I don't quit so... I'm quitting. It's going to be alright and whatever withdrawal i have will be worth it.
day 1 for me, i just picked up the 3 step nicotine patch system because i've been heavily vaping for about 5 years and smoked cigarettes for about 3 years before that. at just 22 years old thats kind of sad. i've quit once before and it was very hard on me mentally because of mental health conditions. i believe in myself though!! no matter how hard it is it's harder not being able to breathe.
@ still not vaping:)) i did end up using nicotine pouches. the most important part to me is my lung health, not so much the actual nicotine. i do still plan to quit nicotine completely though, and i wouldn't recommend substituting. if you can, just get away from all of it. be better than me😂 i will say i can breathe so much better and it feels great!! i'm a singer, so it has really helped with my breath control!
I needed this help, i used vaping to quit smoking around 2 1/2 years ago but because of the convenience of vaping, i feel i'm more addicted to this than i was smoking. I can get away with it anywhere and its hard for me to not.....i do feel healthier in myself since quitting cigs and vaping is a lot better for you, but because of how much i vape and how times have changed with vape pricing, im spending more than i ever spent on cigs
@@ShinymaniacI started using vapes to quit smoking as well and now I’m vaping like a crazy person. How is your journey going? I know it’s hard and I’m sending you positive vibes
I too have used vaping to quit smoking, and been off the cigs for a year and a half, and I agree with you. Vaping is more addictive than smoking. You can vape anywhere, I’m vaping lying in my bed as I’m writing this comment, I vape in my car which I wouldn’t with smoking. Having said that, I have no desire to go back to smoking. I want to quit vaping too, as I’m sick of being a slave to my addiction, and the nicotine vapes are illegal in Australia, will only be a matter of time before these tobacco/vape stores are gonna get busted and shut down completely, and I won’t be able to get my fix.
@@benkrake3678 Hi mate, since my comment I've been working down the nic strengths, I'm down to a 6mg from 20 at the minute. Hoping to get down to a zero, kick the vape and then find something to chew on to satisfy that habit haha. Good luck with however you choose to approach it. I've looked at those smoke free things too, Füm and other brands, they all look good but all pricy. Might be worth looking into depending on what they cost over there
Omg !! So true! Everytime i have tried quitting, to make my mind and hands occupied, i tried a new hobby, went super heavy at gym, started something completely new and overwhelmed myself to the point, where i bought vape again! I'm gonna try quitting again in 2 days, prepare myself mentally and not start some new habits or routines to to fill emptiness. Wish my luck 🤞🏻
Happy to say that I have quit vaping for more than a month now. First week was really a bitch. No more nicotine for me. After that it gets way better. Really start to feel a lot of health benefits now. I’m proud of myself! Goodluck everyone and thanks for your videos they help alot!
Your advice on focusing on quitting and not go trying to take on the world was spot on 😂 I’m on day 19 and I’m thinking about many other changes that I want to take on. I should focus first on this. Then, comes the rest. Great advice. Thanks
It’s week 1 and 2 days and I’m still sober. But the insomnia is very detrimental. I can only catch an 1hr or 2hrs of sleep but only once it’s 6 or 7am. Its fucking with my head but I still won’t relapse.
Maybe you're using something that keeps you awake during nights, try to wake up early at morning and if you're a guy who likes to take naps consider next time to postpone your naps until you sleep at night. Don't relapse if you think you need to have a cigarette for you to sleep. It is not a good reason.
I think I understand the way it sometimes workes after smoking for 15 or 20 years. It might more likely be something less serious or noticeable to others like asthma or type 2 diabetes
Fun fact: some vegetables contain nicotine. Tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, cauliflower and potatoes. I find that consuming these can actually help to soften the initial 72 hour blow.
I've completed my first 24 hours after vaping for around 10 years! I gave all my vape stuff to my kid so there wouldn't be a way for me to go back to it!! Everytime I get a strong craving I just get up and go outside and walk
Well nicotine is a hard mistress. I always seem to go back to it. The craving comes back and strong at the most random moments. For me it's stress which causes it. I know because I know that having a vape will temporarily resolve those issues. It is super hard to explain. But this is it. I tend to be able to quit for about 3 weeks at max
worked for me is by delaying when u smoke from waking up and going to bed or after eating to cutdown then eventually I felt like I cud go cold turkey and have had no cravings only some withdrawals but without craving a vape
I want to quit for my health, I already have a lung problem so it’s time to take care of myself. I’m 21 I just want to change as a person. Also vaping nicotine does nothing for me, I don’t get that 5 sec high anymore and I would only get it for the taste and putting something up to my mouth kind of habit. I’m on my 3rd day, trying to be strong!!!!
Hey what you do is great and just saw your other post about the Halloween it’s a good picture and congratulations however, you need to build some more time…..
I have kicked IV use of meth and heroin, drinking gallons a night, I even work in substance abuse counseling bc of that, yet somehow nicotine/vapes is the hardest thing ever to overcome for me. I’ve only successfully quit for 6 months… arg, I’m gonna try again this Wednesday.
I’m 15 and I quit vaping three months ago it has been hard but I had to because I’m anaemic and I am asthmatic and also I’m too young to be doing this. I’ve already ended up in the hospital before I do not want to end up in the hospital again, this has been a long road and evidently I got a little scared because I don’t feel 100 and understand what you were saying in the video. I have traded out nicotine for eating. I am now addicted to eating. I never knew that could even happen but here I am it has been hard I still have an urge to vape, but I have not vape at all. I don’t drink anymore or do any type of drugs anymore. I’ve been totally sober for three months going on for sometimes. I feel scared because how my body feels but I’m proud of myself and I can’t wait to look back on this in a year or two and laugh, so if you want to quit quit please it is not worth it. It’s not worth your life. I threw my life away for drugs. Please don’t make the mistake I did . And if you find it hard to quit pray I know a lot of people probably say that but I’m being serious. Pray read your Bible ask God to help you that is what has helped me I love you all and stay blessed. 🙏🏽💗💞
and also, I’m going to work on my eating problem and please for everyone out there do not beat yourself up. You got this just take it day by day if nobody else believe in you I believe in you.
I’ve had like brain fog/ headaches for over 10 days now almost on day 18, it has been effecting my relationship with my gf. After an argument prior to not being able to make a decision because of my brain fog/headaches this has made me lose interest in our relationship and not feel the love or excitement from it anymore. We’ve talked about how I felt but don’t see each other much since I don’t feel anything about us, I love her still but not us, idk if this is withdrawals or what but I need help. Not sure if it’s because I feel bad to break up and keep working on myself or stay to see if I get that feeling back, someone help!
If you love her and she's supportive in helping you on your journey to abstinence I say make it work. Pray about it and talk to the Lord. Hope this helps 🙏🏽. God Bless
Love is not a feeling. It is a choice. Feelings change every day. If the relationship is healthy, stick it out. If the relationship is toxic, leave. Only you know deep down if the relationship you are in is healthy. There is nothing worse than breaking up with someone and realizing later on you made a huge mistake because you may not be able to get her back. In this life, all we have are our experiences and the relationships we have with other people. Choose wisely and never betray the people who have been down for you since day 1.
If your girlfriend knows your going through this and trying to better yourself , unfortunately she also needs to understand what’s going on and be patient , if she wants you to stay in that place , and doesn’t want to give you moral support , leave her
I quit for 8 months before started again then a year went by I quit for 3 days and wanted to literally kms🙃I drank and then was like no I don't want to do that so I went back like you said. I'm going to quit again today but I'm scared to feel like that again
Im off weed finally out of my system super happy I feel awesome...im terrified of quitting vaping I tried a few times and never made it past 3 days I'm mostly worried about the emotional like I'm going to be mean and cranky or eat way too much. Just trying to get my mind right I WANT TO QUIT BADLY
The first 3-5 days were easy. The second withdrawal was worse. Days 14-20 almost always had me relapsing. Because it made me feel like I made zero progress. Replacing it with junk food made me feel like i might as well just vape. Because, the junk food was negatively affecting me in a different way. I'm gonna try again, though.

I need to look at my schedule for work for my schedule days off. I am carnivore which has helped me with my depression but I think the disposable vape has screwed my sleep. My plan is to go high fat and I want to quit after getting my food set up. I have four days off. Starting today. I want to set up 1:1 with you while I am being vape free. I have your book in the binder which I am going to start re reading again.
This guy helped me quit weed for 6 months now, if you listen and put in the work things will be fine, as of today I am quitting vapes so hopefully I can continue the road to sobriety
I dont support your arguement of going cold turkey, guidelines says the gums , patches are the first line therapy , it is even a uworld question, what some people did and found very useful is gradual tapering as well, I think no one has the time frame of 3 months of having one goal which is quitting nicotine specifically people in a high stressful jobs.I think the course you are suggesting is not realistic but actually harmful, Gradual tapering is the answer.
I quit Jan 1, 2024. I can’t believe it’s almost been a year. I would love to vape again, but the the thought of being nic sick is enough to make me not hit it! 😅
I’m on my journey of quitting also. But my question is would it be better to quit nicotine first then cannabis or just quit them all together all at once. Currently quitting nicotine because that’s the one I struggle with the most. I do enjoy my cannabis, but I know for a fact that would be more manageable than nicotine. I have failed constantly trying to quit nicotine.
Im 7 days clean off weed and nic it’s way easier if you just quit both at the same time cause being high makes you fein for the nic so I’ve been a soldier 7 days cold turkey from vaping all through high school and freshman year of college🙏🏽🙏🏽
Because some smokers live to be 80 or 90. It dosen't mean is related to quitting if they never get a smoking related illness even if they smoked for 15 years it still dosen't mean its related to quitting. Its just the less number of years they smoke for. The more likely it will be related to quitting if they don't get a smoking related illness
Nicotene patchs gave me such evil kucis nightmares i couldnt take them i quit those the 3 rd . The dr had warned me of rhe bad dreams! So does ur oills cause nightmares as well to stop smoking cigarettes? Hope you reoky😊
The smoking industry has evolved so much since I gave up smoking in 2012 when I was 21. I’m not 33 and have not touched a nicotine product for 12 years, but Ive been curious to try vapes for a few years now. I brought one yesterday and could immediately predict where it was going, they taste nice. I forgot how nicotine made me feel, I literally just threw it in water. Im not going down that path 😅
Testosterone levels are plummeting due to the food you eat, water you drink, genetics and the fact that birth control is being used all over the world for women aged 14-40. (Water is neither created or destroyed, when you put a huge population of women on birth control who proceed to pee, and gets in the water cycle it is going to cause lower Testosterone in males who consume it.) Combine all those things in addition to whatever addiction you may have, the outcome is low Testosterone and effeminate men.
Can we stop blaming porn for everything bad? I swear, there's always some form of prudish mentality when it comes to getting advice on getting of just nicotine.

Update ?
@ still not vaping:)) i did end up using nicotine pouches. the most important part to me is my lung health, not so much the actual nicotine. i do still plan to quit nicotine completely though, and i wouldn't recommend substituting. if you can, just get away from all of it. be better than me😂 i will say i can breathe so much better and it feels great!! i'm a singer, so it has really helped with my breath control!
quitting for the new year, lets hope for the best
I needed this help, i used vaping to quit smoking around 2 1/2 years ago but because of the convenience of vaping, i feel i'm more addicted to this than i was smoking. I can get away with it anywhere and its hard for me to not.....i do feel healthier in myself since quitting cigs and vaping is a lot better for you, but because of how much i vape and how times have changed with vape pricing, im spending more than i ever spent on cigs
I used vaping to quit smoking and I’m vaping like crazy bc it’s so easy. I vape in my house now when I never smoked cigarettes inside my house. 😣
Your videos are really educational and motivating. Thank you so much
5 weeks without buying a vape but back to cigs which I absolutely hate. Today is last day ever
This dudes the goat fr
On day 5 now from quitting vaping. Withdrawal sucks but it will get better for sure!
Hows it going? Im only on day 3 and feel like im losi my shit. Anxiety is the worst
@@jaelatina410how it going now my 1st few hours here
Your advice on focusing on quitting and not go trying to take on the world was spot on 😂 I’m on day 19 and I’m thinking about many other changes that I want to take on. I should focus first on this. Then, comes the rest. Great advice. Thanks
I would also recommend taking more sleep, being lightly active and go out with people who are you not smoking with.
What I find help in quitting vapeing is get a straw and and squeeze on it as if you are taking a deep inhale.worth a try if you are finding it hard..
It’s always after 2 weeks for me when I relapse
This was the best advice I could hear!!!😂😊 5:19
Day 5. Wish me luck
Nicotine addict for over 30 years. I'm trying a nicotine free vape, how do you feel about those?
I found the habit of vaping harder to quit than the nicotine. Its a vicious habit.
I think I understand the way it sometimes workes after smoking for 15 or 20 years. It might more likely be something less serious or noticeable to others like asthma or type 2 diabetes
I would say those can both be pretty serious but possibly less noticeable on the outside
The way you said “Active withdrawal and detox process” made me go back to vaping 😂
Fun fact: some vegetables contain nicotine. Tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, cauliflower and potatoes. I find that consuming these can actually help to soften the initial 72 hour blow.
Thank you
I've completed my first 24 hours after vaping for around 10 years! I gave all my vape stuff to my kid so there wouldn't be a way for me to go back to it!! Everytime I get a strong craving I just get up and go outside and walk
You gave toxic substances to your kid? Now you gonna get him addicted and messed up
Well nicotine is a hard mistress.
This is helping me wanna quit vaping even more.
Starting right now
I’m 15 and I quit vaping three months ago it has been hard but I had to because I’m anaemic and I am asthmatic and also I’m too young to be doing this.
You got this just take it day by day if nobody else believe in you I believe in you.
good for you. I wish I woulda been this wise at 15. now im 25 and id do anything to go back and not do those things!
Your girl is the problem. Discipline her.
If your girlfriend knows your going through this and trying to better yourself , unfortunately she also needs to understand what’s going on and be patient , if she wants you to stay in that place , and doesn’t want to give you moral support , leave her
Quitting now! Wish me luck.
I’m on day 7 after 5-6 years vaping. Let’s go
@@Bnguyen276how’s it going??
I'm on day 2 and I'm GOING CRAZY it really does feel impossible idk I'd I can/am ready to quit FUUUUCK!!!!!
Updates
Hey dr just wondering if you could make a video talking about CBD and if its good or not
Sure!
@@AddictionMindset Hey dr!!! Since there's a chance you're probably going to read this, I just want to say thank you so much for these videos, i've been watching them for months now, they've helped me more then you can imagine, you're an amazing human being dr and i just want to take this chance to show my gratitude 🤝
I’m on day 5 and I want my vape…but I never made it this far and I really wanna stop
I’m in a spot where I know I’m mentally ready but addictively not. Spent 200 in vapes from “trying to quit” in one week. After this video is over I’m doing it. Pray for me 😂
Other people might not all ways know they get a illness or probably from smoking. Because it could be something more easy to hide like asthma or diabetes
Yes. Sadly lots of people don’t realize how sick they are until it’s too late
I quit cigs cold turkey so easy in 2012, started calling during covid, only on day two right now but damn it seems a lot harder to quit than cigs lol
litterly day 1 and all i can do is think about vaping, i want to hit a vape and my mind is like telling me oh its just one or all the its painful
I changed to vaping to quit smoking now I just want to quit. I want to try the gum but I don’t like chewing. Any one tried the gum that he is selling? If it helped I would love to try it. I am a nurse that works the floor and concentration is what gets in the way of my quit. I can’t afford med errors and I want to quit. I feel stuck.
Happy to help! Feel free to send me a DM on Instagram @addictionmindset and I can chat with you about the gum to see if it’s a good fit for you. Or if you check the link in the pinned comment for the 1:1 coaching you will see a contact phone number for Watts app!
Day 1 guys i’ll be back in a year to this video😂. Wish me luck🙏🏽
This guy helped me quit weed for 6 months now, if you listen and put in the work things will be fine, as of today I am quitting vapes so hopefully I can continue the road to sobriety
I’m quitting rn no cap shits hard asl wish me luck fr fr
I dont support your arguement of going cold turkey, guidelines says the gums , patches are the first line therapy , it is even a uworld question, what some people did and found very useful is gradual tapering as well, I think no one has the time frame of 3 months of having one goal which is quitting nicotine specifically people in a high stressful jobs.I think the course you are suggesting is not realistic but actually harmful, Gradual tapering is the answer.
Ppl r different. They quit differently 😂
@@calm9118 check the data , cold turkey success rate is less than 5%
Cold turkey and suck it up.
That might sometimes be why some people smoke less then others. Because it's worse for them then others
I heard chewing normal gum or having something to fidget with helps
Thank you so much bro
Im quitting now, im done with relying on these chemicals
I quit Jan 1, 2024. I can’t believe it’s almost been a year. I would love to vape again, but the the thought of being nic sick is enough to make me not hit it! 😅
You managed to not feel the need of nicotine anymore ? Thats amazing, congrats !
Quit about 8 hours ago and really want to be NICOTINE FREE forever … shits rough already
I found weed harder but nicotine is harder to quit for me and YOU can do it by battling that fear❤
I hope this reaches someone
Day 0. Here we go.
Same for me. How is it going ?
@@oauo Pretty good, using nicotine patches (7mg over 24 hrs) and the occasional Zyn if the cravings are too much.
I got one but like it just pops instead of hitting lol
Im so confused
Does anyone else get some sort of rash like red pimples, burning and itching skin like all of the above at the same time
Quitting today
90 days...on day 10 rn
I feel high for 5 days now after vaping
Any help pls
If the nicotine or caffeine changes some days they have less. Then some days they might get more of a withdrawal
I think its time...
Nicotene patchs gave me such evil kucis nightmares i couldnt take them i quit those the 3 rd . The dr had warned me of rhe bad dreams! So does ur oills cause nightmares as well to stop smoking cigarettes? Hope you reoky😊
ah yes
Im quitting, who's coming with me?
me and my homies hate vaping
Never heard of this second wave of nicotine cravings. You've literally put extra stuff in peoples minds 😂
Feeling bad from smoking weed 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Huh?
remember: nicotine isn’t going anywhere. you have to choose not to use it.
I’m now 33*
I drank alcohol once
Does anybody here know if vaping is lowering testosterone levels?
