Smoked uninterrupted for almost 9 years and this man helped me make the decision... Its been 13 days without it and feeling very confident about not smoking anymore.
Very strange, I’ve smoked for 5 years, vaped for the past 4 years and tried gum and patches. 2 weeks ago I decided to try the nicotine pouches you put under your top lip, they did me fine for 3 days then I just decided one morning to see how long I could last before I put my second one in. 2 weeks later o still haven’t put one in😂 I don’t understand why people are struggling so much, I drive a truck and every day for 3 years my e-cig was essentially welded to my hand all day, but it was only the first and second day I felt like death without nicotine. 2 weeks later it only occasionally pops into my mind after I’ve eaten a meal. Wish I quit years ago I was so sick of being a slave to nicotine and relying on it if I was slightly stressed, feel much better for it now it’s mostly in your head just keep yourself occupied.
I cant believe I've found myself here again. I quit vaping around 2020 and was 2 years strong. Then, I fell around the wrong people and here I am trying to quit again after 7 months of everyday use. I'm in disbelief that I went back after all that hard work. Doc, your videos always help me through it and I know that I can do it again.

Very helpful advice! Watch out for side effects of nicotine withdrawal like, constipation, cravings, anxiety, fatigue, cough, anger, brain fog, irritation, headaches, insomnia. Don't freak out guys! You're not going to have all these symptoms. All depends if you were a heavy or a moderate smoker. Distraction and chewing gum helps. Good luck to all who struggle with quitting!👋❤🙏 .
We all know the damage smoking does to your health and the benefits after quitting. But be prepared for the cravings, the relapse and the mental stress. You don't want to fix one issue and create a new one! Especially for the heavy smokers, try to reduce it first and then try to quit. Best wishes and stay strong! ❤
This video is right on time. I’m on day 2 and literally slept most of the day 😩 I’m having a cup of green tea and chlorophyll to help with the detox process.
Sleep as much as you need to. On those days when you’re thinking about going back to smoking and the thought won’t leave your mind instead of going to the store and buying cigarettes just take a nap for an hour or two. That’s what’s worked for me at least.

I'm 41 and I have quit nicotine a lot of times. Been smoking, chewing, vaping, all that since I was 12. The best method I've come up with is to use nicotine lozenges for a couple weeks then use the nicotine patches step 1,2,3, two weeks each step. I've found this way to have the least amount of withdrawal. It also helps with the psychological aspect of quitting which I believe is the real problem. I was recently off nicotine for 10 months and then thought it would be a good idea to start again. I quickly regretted starting and after a month I quit again. Now after using my drawn out quitting method i'm nicotine free with no withdrawal for 5 days.

My last patch was on Christmas eve. Christmas day was a nightmare. I lost most of my family. The depression I felt was scary. None of these quitting tip lines or helpers mention that quitting can depress you to a point of nearly deleting yourself. I started vaping to end it. The patches ended a 28 year cigarette habit, I'm a year cigarette free now. But a heads up on that extreme emotional change would have been very helpful. I'm depressed enough, I'm quitting to get major surgeries. If there was something out there to help THAT part, we'd probably have much higher success rates.
Day 5 of no cigarettes and it was very VERY rough last night. All I wanted was a cigarette. It consumed my mind and I felt extremely sick. Better this morning so far. Got a full busy day today so that's good. I can't wait to be over this demon. Can't wait to make to tomorrow day 6 and so on.

Biggest mistake I ever made, was to quit smoking. I gained 140 pounds. I struggled with diets and exercise but I could not stop the weight from coming on. I went from a slim 135 all the way up to a pot belly 275. That's right, I almost made it to 300. My waist went from a 32 to a 50. I got kicked out of the navy for being obese and I lost my valuable retirement, if I could have stayed in. I developed severe sleep apnea and I'm a borderline diabetic. Had I known I was going to get fat like this, you best believe, I'd have never quit smoking. I'd rather have cancer or emphysema any day, than to have to be big and fat

Honestly I’m quitting bc I keep getting yeast infections. I looked it up and the vape/ smoking cigs can make u more prone to yeast infections. I had no idea until I kept getting them 😫
Yeah these things do not help most health conditions.
Thank you for the assistance advice to Quit Nicotine
Quit nicotine 2 weeks ago… the insomnia is still killing me… help
My arms legit lost all muscle, and I'm still in the first 2 days of quiting I'm 159 weight.
ive quit smoking for about two weeks but I use nicorette spray for strong urges. do you guys think that is relapsing?
I quit smoking nearly 4 years ago, I’ve relapsed, and tbh I don’t know why. I was smoke free for nearly 4 years, now I know I can quit again, I’ve been smoking for about 6 months. I need help
With more tar nicotine other stuff. And because they are a bit different. Could different cigarette brands more likely give them different problems?
unlikely its the burning of the product in general that is the issue irrelevant of ingredients.
Hi Doc how are you? Been almost 3 week i quit smoking (hash/vaping) ive been taking nicorette gum, should i go cold turkey or continue with the gum till i dont need nicotine? Thank you
Start to ween off the gum using less and less over the next few weeks as directed per the gum use
Thanks!
if my thing has been too much caffine, can i just subsitute that word for nicotine and wouls this video still make sense? thx doc!
exactly.
Oh how I wish it was that easy! I’m happy for you in your easier journey!
@@niah1983 5 months in now and let me tell you, I never think about it at all! How are you getting on? Presuming it’s a new years thing?
Currently on day 6
thanks doc
I've vaped for over two years. Bought a couple 3% nic vapes, down from 5%, then now nic free vape. Really no physical withdrawal, but the habit of vaping....I don't know how I'll quit that 😢
Dose vaping stop the body from healing from smoking?
Ehhhh debatable, It does slow down the healing through from a pulmonary and circulation/ cardiac standpoint.
At 2 weeks i felt the craziest brain fog and fatigue. Now at 1 month, i feel exhausted again. Kind of dizzy even... Please tell me it gets better!!
It does usually by month 3. Does exercise help?
@@AddictionMindset exercise helps tremendously actually. 😁
@@AddictionMindset Hi, is it normal to feel exhausted around the 1 month mark? I feel terrible tired and dizzy even.

This could mean if they have caffeine and 10am and don't have anymore. They might not be able to sleep because of the withdrawal. This is complex and hard to believe
This does happen though to people. Some people are very sensitive to caffeine even hours later.
Im experiencing jaw pain at day5. Is it normal? Someone please help
How are you now?
I quit weed way easier but nicotine is hard af 😭
Fr ☠️☠️☠️ I can just drop it for 6 months like nothing but trynna go a day without nic is hell
