I still think that they could do a lovely Kill Team box with Catachan jungle fighters vs Dark Eldar beastmasters with deathworld critters. It'd be thematic and it would allow two units to be slipped in for general 40K use as well.
They currently have a named homeworld with "the planet of the sorcerers" so they should give them some like...human secondary units. Bring back the prospero spireguard from heresy, give then some human sorcerer cultists, let sorcerers sacrifice cultists for more powerful psyker powers and summonings, give them accsess to summon some of the many unaligned deamons with models. Give them some non marine human infiltrator units to represent their devious tzeentchian plans. Give them heretical psyker choirs and dark astropaths. Give them unsuited but bound "dust legionairs". THERES OPTIONS.
Honestly if I was playing thousand sons right now, I would kitbashing karic acolytes with the Tzangor upgrades to make chaos cultists, at the very least.
Votann will almost certainly be getting another big release this edition... if I had to guess, I'd hazard a guess at saying they'll get their big release either next summer or fall, and then add on an Xmas box for extra giggles World Eaters? I swear GW don't give a flying fart about ANY of the God Legions and they're happy to just let those ranges rot... DG were lucky in being the 8th ed antagonist faction, so they got a lot more stuff at launch, but none of the dedicated Legions have had anything more than a token model thrown at them since. All 3 current mono God Legions really deserve the love at this point, with obviously WE's & 1kSons needing at least 5-6 more unique units/kits while DG could do with a proper Lord on Foot kit (with the ability to build a LoC + 1 'new' Mantle of Corruption option), + a couple more infantry options.
I still think it was a mistake to try and spin them all of so quickly when they werent going to invest enough to give them their own range. Given the power but only realistic resources, I would combine them into a "chaos cults" book, where the intention is you have unique faction detachments but shared non marine "cultist" detachments and units to make up the gaps until they can all get equal ranges.
@@ColonelMetus see that may be right, but given bloodthirsters have wings some possessed world eaters that are more bullish with wings wouldn't be out of place. Could be a cool concept if it didn't sound so goofy
I wish they would show love to the other regimes from the lore but we all know they are just gonna copy paste a marine and slap a new box in their hands calling it a new unit
For Deathwatch, I’d honestly be fine with just a bunch of upgrade sprues. Infantry, Terminator, and Biker upgrades with various chapter stuff. Parallel that with a new Vanguard Vets kit for use in Kill Team would be a home run for Deathwatch.
Having the iconic Guard regiments return as indivdual, specialized squads that fulfull different roles would be a fantastic way to showcase their uniqueness and deal with the issue of guard infantry being difficult to identify on the table. Gimmie an Armored Fist squad made up of Steel Legionnaires; Elysians and Drop Sentinels in a jump-troop role; Catachan Devils as dedicated, ambush-oriented counter-melee specialists. There's so much GW could do to flesh out the squishier parts of the AM.
Elysian models were dope back in 3E. Was gonna pick up a unit of them before they discontinued them. But they live on currently as Tempestus Scions, very similar feel if you drop them from a valkyrie. My head cannon for that is a bunch of helldivers dropping in on some bugs and letting loose. Very fun thoughts. =)
Guard is a 3D print army. GW just cannot support the different regiments. Unfortunately, the best way to get that vibe you described would be to use multiple aspect warriors in Aeldari
Elysians and Harakoni Warhawks have been on my wishlist for a while. Guard sorely needs jump troops, maybe have them act akin to a lighter version of Seraphim. Jump pack and dual wielding hotshot laspistols.
The main problem with the Thousand Sons is that they were the first. They have a limited number of models and suffer from a large number of moldlines. As an example, I started collecting army of World Eaters after I had experience assembling Drukhari, World Eaters are so much more pleasant to assemble and their moldline is so small that it seems to me that after applying the base they will be completely invisible. While my friend collects Thousand Sons and, according to him, most of the time all he does is clean models from moldlines. Plus, if we talk about the armies of chaos, the Death Guard received many more models than the Thousand Sons. It seems to me that the sons of Magnus deserve to be re-released among the first (although of course after the Gray Knights or Drukhari)
@@generalwoe359 Eldar have been receiving a steady drip feed of redone kits since 6th edition and on... AND, you're heavily rumored to be getting the other Aspects + multiple Phoenix Lords moved into plastic this edition! Can the poor kids who have only 3 options just maybe get something for once please?
13:20 I've never heard the rumour/theory about Deathwatch being folded into Agents of the Imperium, but I have to say... I like it. Deathwatch alone doesn't have enough going for it to be a full blown separate faction. But running deathwatch alongside Assassins, Inquisitors, Psykers and Stormtroopers? Sounds awesome.
I dunno, I’m not really a fan of the idea, more because I’d rather agents be their own distinct thing with a focus on fleshing out the less well known parts of the imperial war machine, like the navy and inquisition. Folding them into deathwatch feels like it would mean the agents are being overshadowed in their own faction by being yet another space marine thing. That’s just my opinion
@@technologicalconductor6308 I think you misunderstood me. I also want the Agents to be its own thing, and fold Deathwatch into them, not the other way around
World Eaters should get access to the Slaughterbrute, the alternate build from the Mutalith Vortex Beast kit. They need some sort of unique heavy. I honestly don't see Blood Angles Death Company getting a new release. Most likely going to lose the Death Company Marines Datasheets and have Death Company Intercessors and Death Company Intercessors with Jump Packs and just package the Intercessor kit and Jump Intercessor kit with upgrade sprues.
This is breaking my brain right now. You take one look at the slaughter brute and I just assumed it was a World Eater model. Does it even have a 40K data sheet anywhere? I didn't see one in Daemons either.
Honestly shocked GW haven't released a set of Guardsmen regimental upgrade kits like they did with all the Space Marine chapters. They released a Cadian Upgrade Kit (For units that already look like Cadians), and then left it at that. Where's the upgrade kits for the other regiments?
@@jubseest8439 He used to like 10 years ago, they removed it but never took the rules away so you have always been able to play him on foot. So, he needs a new on foot model and has done for several editions now.
@@jamesloder8652 Nah, other way round they don't keep rules for 10 years for models they are retiring. he's a terminator just like Belial he will get a new on foot model, becasue every space wolf player will buy it. You forget they are a business.
@@bastionwargaming7965 definitely not until 15th, it's not about priority but production process of IMM. Molds wear off and getting new plastic minis is actually easier and desirable for them, hence we started to get refreshed Drukhuri units in Mandrakes and Incubi. Their big refresh won't wait for 13th and so on edition, 10th-12th is prime time for large updates.
You know there is somewhat of an issue in gearing when you play Black Templars and their Marshal and Castellan are NEVER chosen over the regular Primaris Captain and Lieutenant.
Other Votann things I expect; Current Characters in other armour types/vehicles A Hernkyn Biker Character A cthonian Foreman character A cthonian sapper unit Embyr Guard A dedicated weapon tank (with more traditional tank-style) An artillery installation A fortification Whatever the hell is meant to hook onto the back of a hekaton A Votann core’s robotic avatar centrepiece (not the core itself but a stand in) And named characters I don’t expect all of these in the new release wave, but I do expect these ideas to appear in some form or fashion, just based on my knowledge and understand of Votann Lore and faction aesthetics.
Votann are so frustrating! GW makes a big deal about the glorious return of the Squats and then does jack fucking all with them. They have a less fleshed out model line than Custodes and that is a *low* fucking bar to set.
@@vsGoliath96 they got a big release. If you look at other factions, you’ll see most of them only get one model an edition, resulting in about 1 model between 2-5 years. Votann were never going to get 10 kits every two years and people need to realise this. It’s just how warhammer releases are. Sure it sucks in the moment, and not having any novels is actually baffling, but it’s not fair to expect anything else, because we aren’t space marines. Or to a lesser extent sisters of battle.
Leman or Dorn would make the most sense, but I think you're right to call Leman. The Space Wolves are their own sub faction that sell decently well, so it would make sense to give them the Primarch. Sorry, Fists!
@@vsGoliath96 A number of primarchs are fairly easy lore-wise to bring back. Jagatai, Corvus, Vulkan, Dorn and Russ are all different flavours of "Missing, presumed dead", although in particular Corax has been confirmed to be alive (if changed by the warp). But I feel that SW are most likely simply because they're the largest most popular non codex compliant chapter whose primarch is neither back already (Lion) or dead (Sanguinius)
@@deanthomas2561 I don't think GW would choose to drop two primarchs simultaneously, as we are talking about big show stopper models. And generally Corax and Lorgar are held back by their sub-faction not having separate codexes. They could be added to SM and CSM codex respectively, but I'm doubtful we'll see them anytime soon. I expect we'll likely see a primarchified Sanguinor before we see any of the non codex specific primarchs.
The Space Wolves Pack boxed set (that builds Grey Hunters, Blood Claws or Wolf Guard and even had scout heads) they released back in 5th or 6th edition was awesome. A hugely generous selection of parts and weapon choices, and this was back when Space Marine kits had cross compatibility (well, more than they have now) so you could really make each Space Wolf in your army look unique. That's what I did with mine. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if they make a new Wolf Pack box or upgrade sprue, it needs to be at least as good as the current box.
Harlequins..... Please just give us a fun/useable Detachment in the Aeldari Codex 🤞🤞🤞 New Harlequin models seem very unlikely 😭 although Mimes would make for a nice alternative Battleline unit to the Troupe Players. Also, a unique Troupe Master/TM on Bike (to lead the Skyweavers) would be a dream ❤️
@@Whoknows21356 there was a rumours video that I saw here a few months back. Admittedly nothing concrete to back up the rumour..... But it mentioned Harlies not getting their own specific Detachment 😐
It feels weird hearing that bloodletters and bloodcrushers might be on the list for models in need of an upgrade, I still vividly remember grabbing them when they were brand new, in my mind most of the daemon range is pretty new still lol As far as wishes for new model releases go, I'd throw my hat in on the updated Soul Grinder hopes, I've never been too fond of how that model fits together, though it has formed the basis for a few really fun conversions over the years, so it's not all bad. Honestly I'd rather see a return to the army playing a bit fluffier, I've come to peace with Daemons never getting their "The entire army MUST deep strike as deployment" rules back, particularly since a few ways to tone them down have already been implemented... for genestealer cults. But it'd be fun to see Daemons return to playing the game in a slight but fundamentally different way to most factions.
In a perfect world, for DG, it'd be awesome to get; - proper LoC kit w/full options for manreaper + orb or huge axe - A power armour Lord kit that opens up a 'new' Mantle of Corruption option (maybe a Lord of Withering or Lord of Poxes?) - Plague Marine Havocs w/loads of alchemical + viral weapons - Plague Marine Breachers - Plague Cultist unit w/Nurgle Preacher as a unit leader - Pestigors - Plague Tower LoW super heavy - a 'Death Guard Upgrade' kit full of nurglings and various other add-ons to slap all over our basic vehicles/model bases ;-) What we'll actually get: official codex rules for the Gellerpox Infected which will be passed off as our "new model release", meaning we'll actually get nothing at all!
Every faction needs a Primarch equivalent or larger centre piece model if theyvhavent already got one e.g Asdrubael Vect on his Dais of Destruction. I'll focus on Dark Eldar because they were the faction that initially brought me over from fantasy to 40k in 1998 and are probably the only one that could get me interested again. Over all of their codices they've lost quite a few special characters, so bringing them back in plastic or actually giving them their first official one would be great. Dark Eldar are pretty much 3 unique armies in one, so being able to field them as such with at least two troops choices, unique characters, elites, fast and heavy support would be great. This could be as simple as Kabalites being used as a Trueborn unit or Wyches used as Bloodbrides etc. No need to even release another kit (although preferable), just give us options.
Feels like some dreadnought upgrade kits for chaplain dreads for templars and angels, librarian dreads for angels and blood ravens, space wolf rune priest/wolf guard/wolf priest dreadnoughts, hell even a new white scar/ravenguard jump pack melee dreadnaught. Would be a rad "wave" release.
A sanguinary guard rework with a simpler jump pack where the wings don’t interfere with the shoulder pauldrons would be an incredible quality of life upgrade for blood angels
As a Guard Player All I want is a truly Plug and Play Well Designed Flexible Robust Infantry squad kit which allows you to create varying types of Infantry regiment models, so you can create Great Coats, Gas Masks, Jungle Fighters, Drop Troops while taking this and making different types of Infantry upgrade kits which allow you to create many different unique styles of infantry. I want a new round of Aircraft and Valkyrie Love. They really need to focus on them and make them playable so people can create Viable Storm trooper/Drop Troop themed armies. Tanks YO!! We can never have enough tanks :D
Hear me out here on thousand sons for havoc / heavy weapons. Not rubrics, but a squads of 'lesser' sorcerers that have banded together into circles / cabals to blow things up. Now you have your heavy weapons options for weapon, but are keeping in the theme of sorcerers, magic and that the rank and file is identical automatons but the 'special' comes from their characters who aren't rubrics. But yeah.... porting or re-imagining the Osiron psyker dread from Heresy into a psyker dread seems like a no brainer (even if they seem to be moving away from both FW and things being compatible in both).
Wolves will be at the end of the current edition or possibly at the start of the next, nearly all the range will be refreshed, and a certain Mr. Russ should be putting in an appearance.
My biggest fear with all the SM chapter updates is going to be getting rid of units to make generic Primaris units with no weapon options you 100% know that Wolf Guard are going to get replaced with a Bladeguard version that will be either 3 or 6 Wolf Guard with the option to give a thunder hammer to 1 of them.. or just strait up removed and being told "You have blade guard"
@tdlainc.4737 Well, they've already started. At the moment, the wolf priest is just the chaplain, despite fluff to the contrary.. Blade guards are elites, and for us, fall into wolf guard pack markings.. WG terminators are going to be interesting since they're slimming down options. But since terminators can be either 1st or primaris, all my existing terminators, including characters, are ok despite being smaller scale. We've been through a lot in all the battles we've fought over the years, not ditching them now!
End of edition. This is what I'm hoping for, currently picking up enough of the SW sprues so I don't have to use any MK10 bodies. I doubt they are going to give us an updated version of the SW sprues, I'm thinking more an upscale of the WG terminators, terminator characters getting a resize, and the lore getting "primarised" to be the standard MK10 units, but SW call them Blood Claws, Grey Hunters, etc.. Essentially stealth remove units like they did when they removed "primaris" from unit names and overwrote original unit, like sternguard, Chaplain, etc..
@Rothgar59 good idea! Plus there's enough bits to add to any MK X models. The sprue updates we'll get will be in line with Templars and danglies, so it won't be the best. I wish we had a better transfer sheet. Yeah, all the primaris units are still in the "claw packs" might as well buy assault intercessors, and use them as blood claws,as that's basically what they'll be.
I'd love to see the Knights get a foot-infantry unit that's native to the army and could use the rules. Something like a blade guard basically. Mostly I just want models that look like Renaissance era knights in the future.
They’ve held up well in a vacuum but they do look real silly when you put them next to other factions (they are just so tiny, I’ve legit got cultists that are the same height as my grey knight terminators)… They don’t need a redesign, but they do need to be rescaled to match the rest of the game (and maybe modernising the kit as well, personally not a massive fan of all them looking like they are squatting).
While the Thousand Sons models look absolutely fantastic, the fact that they were the first release means they missed the scale creep and when they stand next to Primaris, Deathguard, etc they are puny. Unfortunately they kind of need a new Rubric box because of this IMO. This would be fine if they included it with some of the things you mentioned like the melee or havoc rubric layouts so who knows. Worried the Pariah Nexus stuff is just a lore explanation to use the 30k models in 40k but we'll see. Would love to see a Psychic Dread introduced. Keep an eye on Space Marine 2, if there are new units in that it could mean there are models soon to follow.
Blood Angels rumours are new San Guard, new Sanguinor, new Death Company, new Astorath, new Lemartes and maybe new San Priest so it could be an exciting time. DAs even got a new unit, so that would be interesting if a new unique BAs unit appeared, maybe one of the heresy ones re-imagined, jump pack marines with assault cannons would be hella fun. I think the Furioso, DC dread, Libby dread and Baal pred could all be done through upgrade kits to the Brutalis/Remptor kits and the Gladiator kit. A Brutalis is rumoured in the launch box so we will see, but with preds being in the Space Marine codex and the old boxnaught hanging in on there I think those kits will be fine until next edition. Would also be good to get jump lts, jump librarians and an updated jump chaplain (though the current kit is really nice and BA themed).
Lost regiments, light armored 4x4 and 6x6 buggies (edit: maybe a sensible 6x6 APC?), and Guard Biker units would be awesome! I hope they do the Rogue Trader Army and Imperial Guard infantry again in updated sculpts. These would make for some great PDF troops. ❤
All Major Chaos God factions. I'd love to see the old F.W. upgrade bits for the preditor, rhino and Land raider re-imagined in plastic as an extra sprue in their own boxes. I'd love to see the same done with the Helbrute and Defiler. As these are being tailored to their faction, you can really go all out on their theme, weapon loadouts and their looks etc. Death Guard: A re-release of the Lord of Contagion. A release of D.G. specific Chaos Lord and Choas Sorcerer in Terminator armour. A chaff killing version of the M.B.H, or just a reworking of the kit, but then have very specific loadouts like the T'au XV8s A unique Chaos cultist unit, a cross between cultist and poxwalkers, able to do actions and are ranged only I.e. a true counter option to poxwalkers as your chaff.
my 3 main armies are in this video, and I couldn't agree more! I think what I want most for each one is: Astra Militarum: updated vehicle kits Death Guard: havocs for sure Votann: walker unit and dedicated transport (would have said scout/infiltrate unit, but we already got that!)
I can see an upgrade sprue for BA like the DA one which would include: Brutalis sarcophagus panel for death co dread, and genuine death company bits for assault/jump assault intercessors. Would leave just Sang Guard as the unique kit.
As a Templar player I have to agree, I can't really imagine what new kit they might release for us. All of our iconic units have already been refreshed but I do like the idea of a generic Black Templar chaplain kit. The regular primaris chaplain just doesn't do it for me. I'd just be excited to get a codex and more Templar specific detachments.
PLEEEEEEASE give World Eaters more access to the CSM range. I was so upset at how many units appeared in _Angron: the Red Angel_ that aren’t in the index. Also, let us get in on whatever was up with Shâka Bloodless.
As a Knight player myself; it would be SO cool to see a new knight varient; whether that's a class between armiger and questoris or a completely new shake up on the existing classes. Jump pack armiger sounds like a fun time! Otherwise, what intrigues me the most is what they will do for the different detachments. So many possibilities. Cannot wait!
Other than the Chaos Daemon characters that are still fine cast, I'd actually like them to update and maybe 'bulk up' the basic troops. Apparently the way the rules designers work is that they line up models side by side and guestimate their stats based off their appearances. Thus, Chaos Daemon troops just aren't scary really. Even Bloodletters. Ultimately a Space Marine would not just obviously outshoot any of the daemons, but then outfight them too. For dedicated melee (for the most part) units, ultimately they aren't too terrifying, specifically the Daemonettes (how can one be too afraid of T3 1W models with a 5++?). It would be nice if they had some sort of 'psychological' type attack as an army as well, as an effect of the Shadow of Chaos rule, like, -1 to be hit for shooting and/or melee, etc, etc. I'd like to see them take the 'Brute' concept from HH and somehow incorporate them into 40k, maybe make them the 'furies' and therefore something the Chaos Gods might want to actually claim. For Blood Angels, I would like to see Gabriel Seth updated. Maybe given a Jump Pack. That would be badass.
What you mentioned about lining models up and guesstimate their stats is something they did specifically for AoS’s 4th edition they didn’t do it for 40k (and it’s more basing amour saves based on how much armour the model actually has, or making bulky units have more health than spindly units). So that’s prob not gonna have any effect for 40k, though daemon tend to get their releases from AoS so we may see some new daemons or model updates with their new battletomes.
We need cult specific transports. Rhino with a big debuffing bell for deathguard, a psychic platform for Tsons and spikey bits for Worldeaters which gives it nasty charges or something.
I'm hoping for more war gear options for armigers so we have more than 2 units to make up for half of our army in points. A chassis between armiger and questoris would also be nice, because jumping from 150 as the most expensive armiger to 400 as the next cheapest model is stupid.
@@aqz7603With Armiger get reboxed in late 9th edition to include both Warglaive and Helverin configuration, I don't think we will get anoth rebox with third configuration soon.
Something that is also missing for Drukhari, maybe not often mentioned, but from a lore perspective there isn't a single unit that represents the Coven expirements created from captured species. Wracks are Drukhari and the lab staff, Talos and Cronos are sample collector engines, Grotesques are also normally Drukhari in the lore. So where are the results of the cultural exchange or the space marines Urien kidnapped from the last crusade to experiment on, or the tyranids from the stolen moon? Would also be nice to have anything to represent their creations regularly mentioned in the lore.
With the knights, from a rules balance perspective I think it would do a LOT of good if we could take CSM units as allies. Having cultists or CSMs as usable chaff instead of the more expensive chaos demons would be a huge help after the 0 oc nerf.
Here's my guesses for the guard codex. Ratlings gone. Heavy weapon squads gone. (Still take them in squads, but if you want groups, buy the new field ordnance batteries) The new release will be some sort of upgraded artillery platform. (think Rogal dorn, but for a basilisk) This new platform will be expensive irl, have some bullshit rule that lets it break the 4+ artillery limit, and will be nerfed to uselessness right after the meta-chasers buy and paint three of them.
Imo they should add some more heavy weapons to plague marines, like I don’t see a reason to not give them access to rocket launchers and lascannons and it’s a good excuse to add 3 more models to the kit (prob still needs a dedicated anti tank but still)
Maybe the best way for them to give Catachans some love would be to do a Kill Team release for Catachan Devils, a veteran Catachan squad that can also be built as normal Catachans. Let them take up to three special weapons (flamers, grenade launchers, meltaguns, or sniper rifles), a heavy flamer, and a demo charge. Give them infiltrate and an ability that gives them fights first when in area terrain. Instead of close combat weapons and a jungle fighters special rule that makes them slightly better in melee, give all Catachans a Catachan Fang melee weapon that's maybe S 3 AP -1 Lethal Hits or something. Emperor's Children need sonic tanks, sonic terminators, sonic dreadnoughts, -sonic screwdrivers- Okay, maybe not that last one. It would be a nice touch for EC tanks to be able to take a doom siren instead of a combi-weapon or havoc launcher. EC bikers and land speeders wouldn't be out of place, either. I'd like to see the Votann get a mid-sized transport between the Sagittaur and the Land Fortress, maybe a grav Rhino or something (and expand the transport capacity of the Land Fortress so that it can at least carry three Thunderkyn and a Brokhyr Iron Master). Melee Hearthkyn would be good too, maybe even carrying repurposed mining equipment as special weapons like GSC Acolyte Hybrids do. Some static artillery wouldn't go amiss (I've got an idea for a beam drilling rig that transmutes material it hits into more valuable substances, like a superheavy plasma cannon that permanently improves the AP of attacks made against the target by 1 or gains a CP whenever it destroys a unit that has a 3+ save or better), and maybe some kind of tunneling machine that lets Berzerks or Hearthkyn deep strike. There's a lot to work with here.
I would like to see the codexed traitors all get their own terminator models. At the same time, I would like to see all of the codexed loyalists get their main melee unit up to primaris scale, like the BT got with sword bretheren.
I really hope Votann get a Dreadnought/Walker type unit. Actually, the Necromunda Squat thingy looks really nice, so I'd be happy with something similar. Also, maybe a pure battle tank or some other type of vehicle. I feel we have enough infantry for now, but we are really lacking a bit in the armour department.
I started collecting warhammer in the last month and started with grey knights, was really surprised to figure out that they have effectively 3 boxes (strikes, terms and dreadknights). So I would love to see something extra, but doubt it'll happen anytime soon.
I’m out here waiting for models for the rest of the Chaos space marine legions. But at the same time I like that playing CSM gets me a wide variety of units for an Alpha legion army, as oppose to thousand sons and world eaters.
Each of the cult chaos space marines, World Eaters, Death Guard & Thousand Sons, should get a detachment that allows them to field the corresponding daemons in much the same way that GSC's get a detachment that allows them to field Astra Militarum units.
I think you hit the nail on the head with Deathwatch. Full refresh would be lovely, Primaris Veterans would be great, primaris character would be fine. I feel that if they were rolled into Agents of the Imperium it wouldn't be the end of the world... But I can wait to see
I've weighed in on this a few times on the Space Wolves reddit and for the most part I think you're spot on. Personally think the full range refresh will come more around 11th or whenever Leman Russ returns as he's likely not too far down the que for loyalist Primarchs. As for the Codex launch model, my bet has been something small like a generic character and a decent upgrade sprue as, for the most part, all our characters still hold up and I feel anything unique i.e. Wulfen, Thunderwolf Cav, Blood Claws and the like will come with the range refresh. If I felt a bit more daring then I'd love a full kit similar to our current Blood Claws/Grey Hunter/Wolf Guard box with a primaris update where we can build all three out of one but it would be dependent on loadout. I'd also love to see a character of sorts, such as a named Wulfen or true Wolf Priest model, to attach to and lead Wulfen giving them a small change to their roles. Perhaps a Wolf Priest that could act as a Chaplain for other units or give Wulfen 1 OC if leading them? Either way, I doubt we'll get mich this edition. The more I think about I the more I like the Wolf Priest idea over say another primaris lieutenant or generic character and a much improved upgrade sprue akin to what Dark Angels got to hold us over till the range refresh
Can't think of much the Eldar particularly need in terms of new things. Perhaps a Venom analogue that can split a squad without the expense of a Falcon. Or they could expand the Harlequins.
Speaking of updates for Agents Of The Imperium, the Callidus Assassin is now listed (in the US webstore) as "Sold Out Online". Wondering if it's getting a new model or what as it's the only Assassin of the main four that's only available online.
Every single starter box that had two armies should be brought back and sold as separate halves as secondary options for Combat patrols. Each faction should have two combat patrol type boxes that each favor the opposite popular composition options for each faction. Death Guard for example getting the dark imperium half as a fair all round box, and a reworked combat patrol that has a rhino, two blight haulers, a character and some marines
I'd really like it if Space Wolves got a new scout set to focus on how they are veterans and not new recruits. ATM they have some legacy weapon options, it would be great if they all got power weapons or something, the bladeguard of scouts!
I think Navigators will be In the Agents of the Imperium. It will probably just be Esperan Locato mini from Blackstone Fortress released separately. Also the Arbites need at least one HQ Character.
I'd love a jump pack Kyn squad with pistols and Kyn Melee Weapons. If they keep the profile, a 10 man of S5 AP-2 2 damage who move 10" would be a welcome addition, even better if we can take them in 5's. If they end up doing the jump pack kill team update I could see them being a kill team kit? Although that might be a bit weird...
For us in the black templars, I'd like to see a bigger upgrade sprue for more customization as well as a templar only dreadnought of some sort. Loaded with multi meltas and a big mace/flail for melee. Maybe shield
Updated Catachans would be nice, I would make some tanith squads with them. I find the cadian style isn't light infantry enough to quite fit the rest of the ghosts kit's esthetic
I Hope GW will give the DG some Terminators in the CP but i think they will give us 10 poxwalkers, 10 plaguemarines, 1 Charakter Modelle and maybe three new giant Zombie Horrors with 40-50mm bases.
On the plus side, there's almost no possible way that the DG combat patrol can get any worse than the current one?!lol I fully expect the "new" 1kSons combat patrol will be; 20x Tzaangors + 3 Enlightened + Tzaangor Mage on disc + 2 Chaos Spawn... it'll even come with AoS packaging since GW will have forgotten to photoshop the 40k logo on the box 😛
What the Death Guard NEED is a portable anti tank option like havocs. Their only anti tank capability is fishing for heavy melee lethals or tank shocking, currently. Hoping we dont get a 10 man box because itll bump the cost to £50 easily and lock plague marines into having to take 1 meltagun per squad. Currently you can use the 7 man box to make a 5 man squad and 2 characters (Icon Bearer and another of your choice) and were one of the easier conversion armies for it.
Honestly, as long as the Thousand Sons get a new power armor unit or unique vehicle, I’m going to be beyond happy. If we get more than one thing this edition, oh wow. I’m honestly expecting the character treatment but if the new automata is a thing that’d be neat
On related note to the subject of Thousand Sons getting the big robot, in Space Marine 2 we have pictures showing a 1K Sons Helbrute and I wanna know how does that work? Cause the guy inside can't be a Psyker but also the other guys have no flesh to become a Helbrute?
In the lore thousand sons lure people to join them and then stick them inside as they are in constant pain and anguish hence why they stick other people in them instead of going in themselves.
TS Dreadnoughts are all suppose to be heresy era so the marines inside of them got turned to dust when the Rubric of Ahriman happened (Back when FW was selling the TS dreadnought kit). TS should have access to a Psyker Dreadnought so maybe they will get that.
I feel Blood Angels getting new Death Company with jump packs are 100%. New sanguinary guard are likely. I could also see them getting a chaplain and sanguinary priests with jump packs
I still think that they could do a lovely Kill Team box with Catachan jungle fighters vs Dark Eldar beastmasters with deathworld critters. It'd be thematic and it would allow two units to be slipped in for general 40K use as well.
Incredible idea
Fantastic idea, alþough a dedicated tyranid killteam would also be a good pair for some catachans
chaos demons could really use one or two new units that aren't characters :D
Should do a trade with 'Nids then, we've got like 4 and 2 of them are situational usage at best.
Just refresh the really old kits and give them one or two new buddies
Each god needs at least one new non-character unit.
So could GSC but we got... A NEW CHARACTER!
Slaanesh and khorne need to get a little guy like nurglings and brimstone horrors, nurgle needs a chariot, tzeentch needs a cavalry unit.
I wish Thousand Sons would get more marines. Khenetai Occult or even just access to Warp Talons would be awesome. Anything but tzaangors.
You’ll get a Tzaangor on stilts
@@cadettrev762Sshh, don’t give them any ideas.

What should the World Eaters and Leagues of Votann get?
A full miniature range for starters.
Votann will almost certainly be getting another big release this edition... if I had to guess, I'd hazard a guess at saying they'll get their big release either next summer or fall, and then add on an Xmas box for extra giggles
World Eaters?
WE's juggernauts are going to happen, what I really want are bezerkers with jump packs and red butchers.

Aww man imagine Attilan Cavalry reinforcements flanking the enemy from left and right.
Just support the smaller companies. Victoria Miniatures makes TONS of old guard looking units and bits. Bits fit well with guard

Deathwatch alone doesn't have enough going for it to be a full blown separate faction. But running deathwatch alongside Assassins, Inquisitors, Psykers and Stormtroopers? Sounds awesome.
kxm. Valrak always speak about it
I dunno, I’m not really a fan of the idea, more because I’d rather agents be their own distinct thing with a focus on fleshing out the less well known parts of the imperial war machine, like the navy and inquisition.
@3Xero3 No, it doesn't, which is strange. They already jave the model so I'm not sure why it wasn't included in World Eaters to begin with.

A Hernkyn Biker Character
A cthonian Foreman character
A cthonian sapper unit
Embyr Guard
A dedicated weapon tank (with more traditional tank-style)
An artillery installation
A fortification
Whatever the hell is meant to hook onto the back of a hekaton
A Votann core’s robotic avatar centrepiece (not the core itself but a stand in)
And named characters

What are Embyr guard?
Also maybe a book ?
Votann are so frustrating! GW makes a big deal about the glorious return of the Squats and then does jack fucking all with them. They have a less fleshed out model line than Custodes and that is a *low* fucking bar to set.
@@GarethDragon they’re mentioned in the 9th codex. They guard the crucibles I believe. Possibly psychic.
I feel that when the SW get a full refresh, maybe this edition, we'll get Leman Russ back as well. He's my guess for the next loyalist to return.
Perhaps drop Corax and Lorgar as part of a campaign? Or Russ beside an expansion to TSons.
It would be awesome if Harlequins would get the other half of their promised range, despite being part of the Aeldari codex again.
Please just give us a fun/useable Detachment in the Aeldari Codex 🤞🤞🤞
New Harlequin models seem very unlikely 😭 although Mimes would make for a nice alternative Battleline unit to the Troupe Players.
Also, a unique Troupe Master/TM on Bike (to lead the Skyweavers) would be a dream ❤️
I'm guessing they didn't get rid of the quin codex because they wanted to expand the range...

@@Whoknows21356 there was a rumours video that I saw here a few months back.
Admittedly nothing concrete to back up the rumour..... But it mentioned Harlies not getting their own specific Detachment 😐
It feels weird hearing that bloodletters and bloodcrushers might be on the list for models in need of an upgrade, I still vividly remember grabbing them when they were brand new, in my mind most of the daemon range is pretty new still lol
As far as wishes for new model releases go, I'd throw my hat in on the updated Soul Grinder hopes, I've never been too fond of how that model fits together, though it has formed the basis for a few really fun conversions over the years, so it's not all bad.

I was also thinking about Pestigors or Plague Marine Breachers for the Death Guard
In a perfect world, for DG, it'd be awesome to get;

- A power armour Lord kit that opens up a 'new' Mantle of Corruption option (maybe a Lord of Withering or Lord of Poxes?)
- Plague Marine Havocs w/loads of alchemical + viral weapons
- Plague Marine Breachers
- Plague Cultist unit w/Nurgle Preacher as a unit leader
- Pestigors
- Plague Tower LoW super heavy
- a 'Death Guard Upgrade' kit full of nurglings and various other add-ons to slap all over our basic vehicles/model bases ;-)

Red butchers on my list of wants for world eaters, though I am ready to be disappointed
Wolves will be at the end of the current edition or possibly at the start of the next, nearly all the range will be refreshed, and a certain Mr. Russ should be putting in an appearance.
My biggest fear with all the SM chapter updates is going to be getting rid of units to make generic Primaris units with no weapon options
you 100% know that Wolf Guard are going to get replaced with a Bladeguard version that will be either 3 or 6 Wolf Guard with the option to give a thunder hammer to 1 of them.. or just strait up removed and being told "You have blade guard"
I really want them to make a chaplain model for Apollusfrom the flesh tearers. He's so angry, he makes Seth look reasonable
Everyone always talks about refreshing the GK range but tbh they really have held up pretty well all this time. Kaldor Draigo needs some love though.
They’ve held up well in a vacuum but they do look real silly when you put them next to other factions (they are just so tiny, I’ve legit got cultists that are the same height as my grey knight terminators)…
They don’t need a redesign, but they do need to be rescaled to match the rest of the game (and maybe modernising the kit as well, personally not a massive fan of all them looking like they are squatting).
Even the dreadknight is mainly great and could just use an extra sprue with a coffin-style cockpit.
The blood angels already have pri marines death company bit their just a crappy recolor like all of the new pri marines "special" units
Pysker dreadnoughts mentioned in the last Ahriman book👀
Death Guard:
A re-release of the Lord of Contagion.
A release of D.G. specific Chaos Lord and Choas Sorcerer in Terminator armour.
A chaff killing version of the M.B.H,
or just a reworking of the kit, but then have very specific loadouts like the T'au XV8s
A unique Chaos cultist unit, a cross between cultist and poxwalkers, able to do actions and are ranged only I.e. a true counter option to poxwalkers as your chaff.
my 3 main armies are in this video, and I couldn't agree more! I think what I want most for each one is:
Astra Militarum: updated vehicle kits
Death Guard: havocs for sure
Votann: walker unit and dedicated transport (would have said scout/infiltrate unit, but we already got that!)
Death guard really need more answers for anti tank. A vindicator would be so nice
I can see an upgrade sprue for BA like the DA one which would include: Brutalis sarcophagus panel for death co dread, and genuine death company bits for assault/jump assault intercessors. Would leave just Sang Guard as the unique kit.
Chaos Knights a add on sprue for their one big knight kit to make a variant that you will shelve for two wardogs.
I have no delusions of how unlikely this is but a chaplain Dreadnought for black templars would be amazing.
Ive got a load of armies but the only update I care about is Phoenix Lords and Warp Spiders
I really hope the Thousand Son’s new automata has four or more arms. Just for the cool factor.
Give each faction a multipart generic leader like the chaos lord in terminator armour
From your guard suggestions I have never thought about them having a jump pack unit but now I need an ogrn with one 😂
@Swampert919 no, they did it for 40k as well. They mentioned it in the lead up for Leviathan and I am 99% sure the previous one as well.
@@OniFeez dont remember them ever mentioning it, do you have a source for that?
We need cult specific transports. Rhino with a big debuffing bell for deathguard, a psychic platform for Tsons and spikey bits for Worldeaters which gives it nasty charges or something.
For Grey Knights, with the Terminator refresh for Space Marines, I'm expecting to see refreshed GK Termies and some kind of character release
I would lose my mind if Aeldari get Exodites! Space Elves on Dinosaurs!
For imperial knight I wish for a droppod scenery or new character knight that based on Dominus class knight rather than an Armiger class knight
I always thought a knight transport would be cool.
Knights could do with dedicated sacristan men at arms too
Something that is also missing for Drukhari, maybe not often mentioned, but from a lore perspective there isn't a single unit that represents the Coven expirements created from captured species. Would also be nice to have anything to represent their creations regularly mentioned in the lore.
for Agents - after reading Assassinorum: Kingmaker....I think we're missing an assassin representative for the 5th chapter house.
You know what would be great for the Imperial Guard? How bout we get our Codex sooner rather than later? Lol
For Space Wolves Im thinking we will just get Lukas this edition and then a range refresh next edition.
Death guard are really missing dedicated anti tank. I feel a devastator squad would really fill that gap
Imo they should add some more heavy weapons to plague marines, like I don’t see a reason to not give them access to rocket launchers and lascannons and it’s a good excuse to add 3 more models to the kit (prob still needs a dedicated anti tank but still)
After hearing the latest rumors for Blood Angels, I've lost my hype.
Sang guard without wings sounds like a truly stupid decision by GW, which means you know it’s gotta be true.
@@senorsuave Same as 3 to a box at the price of a elite 5 man squad.
I'd love to see Scarab Terminators with heavy weapons on Disks as a fast moving heavy weapons platform
New baby carrier variant this year, then later upscaled infantry in their 11th edition refresh.
I’m out here waiting for models for the rest of the Chaos space marine legions. But at the same time I like that playing CSM gets me a wide variety of units for an Alpha legion army, as oppose to thousand sons and world eaters.
For chaos daemons I would like a demon representation for Isha just to show she is being affected by Nurgles garden
But I can wait to see
Thunderwolves need a Primaris upscale with the wolves being 'mightier'.
I personally think with the way it's been going for loyalist marines, grey knights are more likely to get a full range refresh than a single character
Votann needs to get our airship thing given it was mentioned so much in 9th codex
A Votann airship would be both unique and awesome. I agree.
Black templars dreadnought with sword and chains would be super cool.
Just leaked~ working title for new Thousand Sons combat patrol; "Oops, all Tzaangors!"
I would like to see a shield and sword dread for the black Templars, or perhaps themed terms.
On the plus side, there's almost no possible way that the DG combat patrol can get any worse than the current one?!lol
I fully expect the "new" 1kSons combat patrol will be; 20x Tzaangors + 3 Enlightened + Tzaangor Mage on disc + 2 Chaos Spawn... it'll even come with AoS packaging since GW will have forgotten to photoshop the 40k logo on the box 😛
@@drunkenastarte5243 Codex Tzaangors confirmed
i would love some guard bikers!
I'm fairly new to the game (joined in 10th) will the Salamanders get their own codex? I'd love to see a new Vulkan He'Stan primaris model.
Honestly, as long as the Thousand Sons get a new power armor unit or unique vehicle, I’m going to be beyond happy. If we get more than one thing this edition, oh wow.
I’m honestly expecting the character treatment but if the new automata is a thing that’d be neat
Which miniature is the one from the right on the miniature of the video?
On related note to the subject of Thousand Sons getting the big robot, in Space Marine 2 we have pictures showing a 1K Sons Helbrute and I wanna know how does that work? Cause the guy inside can't be a Psyker but also the other guys have no flesh to become a Helbrute?
I believe they trap non-TS sorcerer/marine inside.
Tzeentch is the lord of change and mutation, anything is possible 😂
In the lore thousand sons lure people to join them and then stick them inside as they are in constant pain and anguish hence why they stick other people in them instead of going in themselves.
Vacumn cleaner.
TS Dreadnoughts are all suppose to be heresy era so the marines inside of them got turned to dust when the Rubric of Ahriman happened (Back when FW was selling the TS dreadnought kit). TS should have access to a Psyker Dreadnought so maybe they will get that.
Didn’t the thousands sons have something similar to obliterators described in the first Ahriman book aboard Amon’s ship?
I feel Blood Angels getting new Death Company with jump packs are 100%. New sanguinary guard are likely. I could also see them getting a chaplain and sanguinary priests with jump packs
I want my berzerkers on bikes, juggernauts are awesome, but I think it'd be so fun to have them on bikes, lead by invocatus on a jugg
