Great sound test and I really do love the way these sound in the Ergo. This is literally the one of the three I didn't get...and I think you've sold me!
I hear a very slight case ping. Do you prefer it like this or maybe a force break mod to fix it? Beautiful build! Currently waiting for my Neo Ergo to arrive in the mail (I missed the R1, R2 should finish manufacturing in the middle of August). Mine is grey too, going to do a retrowave themed build with the keycaps, CF plate with either no foams or just the case foam. Starting switches will be the WS Browns.
@@thisusedtobemyrealname7876 sounds like it’ll be a great build! And yeah, I’m going to apply a force break to the top and bottom parts where the case makes contact
I really like the sound of the alphas! This board is so fun for tinkering with. Btw did you have any trouble with your right spacebar? I found the difference in sound / feel across the spacebar to be really annoying on softer plates so I swapped to aluminum. Altho I guess you type with left spacebar mostly xD
@@kira-kz7zn it’s such a great board! Neo does great work, that’s for sure I haven’t noticed anything with it haha, like you said, I basically only use the right one.. but I just tested and it sounds a bit more resonant maybe? Could just be part of the overall issue going on with it. I plan on rebuilding it with the bottom case foam to test
based on the case resonance, I'm curious if it might benefit from a force break. Also entirely unrelated, but I've been watching your sound tests for a bit, and just got some of the snow crash switches in, really enjoying the more muted sound signature and near full travel distance! will probably swing swap to my preferences, but I must say I've been genuinely shocked at how good HMX switches come from the factory! currently have them in halineko based gummy o ring 60 on PP, and they sound great!
@@ImOnMy116 Thanks so much for the kind words! I’m glad you’re enjoying them :) Interestingly enough, the board comes with a build in force break on the 4 corners. Maybe some additional tape or something near the middle would help. I’ll tinker around it with it once I get around to rebuilding
@@keebscape Saw a video (Sorry, forgot which one) where they do just that, 4 strips of tape near the middle to fix the case ping. Worked in that video at least.

@@StillthatguyJake it’s a great pick up if you don’t have an Alice layout! If ya do pick it up, enjoy!

Nice choice of switch to go with the Neo Ergo. I say that because I made the same choice🤣

What stabs did you use for this Neo Ergo build?
I used the neo stabs that were included with the kit!
