Athens under siege and Kratos is in the middle of it. Now Ares failed to notice Kratos pass by and even if he noticed him he would kill him now Kratos had killed first his half brothers Pollux and Castor, Aegaeon his great uncle, his grandaunts the furies, his relative Charon and his half-sister Persephone. During his late twenties he was a general of the spartan military in Ascension he was formidable before and after he got the blades. In the beginning of service to the gods he got better. Thirty years old in his fifth year of service to Olympus in Chains of Olympus he gets stronger. Now he's thirty five and he is here in Athens for revenge against Ares. He was in condition to take on the god of war but the blades of chaos, the blades elemental powers; Fires of Ares, Ice of Poseidon, Lightning of Zeus, Souls of Hades. Along with the blades he should have kept the Eferet he took from Xerxes. But now he back to phase one with the blades, Poseidon's rage, medusa's gaze and NOW Zeus' fury. Despite all this Ares is still the forth powerful God of Olympus. Since he's the son of zeus and an Olympian Prince. He's on par with his father and his two uncles. From here on Kratos has to move carefully and slow since even with his powers he can't challenge Ares yet. But since he's been killing Gods early he would have done so without the box but still the plot's good. I've played the games and read the comics on ACCURATE order. I know the complete story.

+SoreThumbsBill I was talking about the chests where you defeated the big troll and the wraiths xD and then, a hidden spot on the rooftops, anyway, great walkthrough.
+SoreThumbsBill you also forgot to take a chest on the rooftop on 13:20. if you jump behind the building, you'll find it. you won't die. I found it by mistake. I was fighting that monster that I forgot the name and by bistake I jumped off the building and found that chest. gow has some really hiden stuff.
I make it a habit to collect only what I need. Kratos can not use items to recover health and magic and sometimes you have to backtrack to get an earlier chest.
In this version of GoW you do not get red orbs if you kill the minotaurs with a finisher because there is no brutal kill bonus. So you will only get green orbs! I wanted the red orbs for leveling up my gear. BTW if you kill the normal zombies with a triangle attack you get zero red orbs and if you kill gorgons with a finisher you get blue orbs!
Brutal kill and Ruthless kill bonus is a game mechanic for God of War 1 but on PS2. This is a walkthrough on PS3 so there aren't any Brutal kill and Ruthless kill bonus in that playthrough. It seems though PS3 is better on graphics but PS2 is better on gameplay.
+Bogyman Noobman yeah I agree on that. But GOW 2 is more harder because you can't collect every single orbs and it's gonna take you more longer to upgrade everything

Do you mind if I ask. How come you kill the minotaurs but not do their finishers? Just curious is all.
In this version of GoW you do not get red orbs if you kill the minotaurs with a finisher because there is no brutal kill bonus. So you will only get green orbs! I wanted the red orbs for leveling up my gear.

Good thing they realized that system was crap and actually rewarded us with Red Orb for brutal kills in GOW2.

Saqlain Shah yeah blades of Athena is more useful in gow2. But blades of chaos is my favorite because of its name and the Lance of the furies attack.
