I have the same issue with an Apple TV 4K and a Denon 3700H in processor mode. I’ve factory reset the receiver to see if that helps but it doesn’t. The issue is with the handshake and the receiver. It’s gets so bad on my system I have to power cycle the projector and receiver to get the image to display. On your fan noise, turn your brightness down to 75% and then you won’t hear the fan.
It's a the frame rate switching, I have the 6050ub and this happens every time the signal is switching from 60hz to 24hz it takes 5-6 second for the picture to apear . I have the same issue with Epson 6050 and a 33ft AOC HDMi
I don’t have the latest flagship Epson projector but I noticed the same issue on my Epson Pro Cinema 6040UB when Match Content including Match Dynamic Range is turned on in Apple TV. Turned it off and everything synced with no issues. For whatever reason, this feature in Apple TV does not work well with Epson projectors. Instead, I made sure my Signal settings in the Epson Projector was set to AUTO. Cheers!
Yes that's how it does it have to catch up for it to pick up the floor Matt because of the internet has to get to a certain GB to produce hdr10 Plus nothing wrong with that that's normal
I swapped with another unit of LS12000 and it didn’t have any fan noise or stuck pixel and I am good with it. The HDMI takes 4 seconds to register the video for HDR10+ and DV content, no other issues. Day time watching is same or better than my LS800 UST
@@CellophaneDreamsCreations Good to hear. The LS12000 greatly simplifies the screen and center placement at the front of the room for me due to low ceilings. A TV would really be the only other option that isn't like 2 inches below the ceiling. What do you mean by DV content? AFAIK LS12000 doesn't support dolby vision unless you are doing EDID trickery with a HDFury or Zidoo.
@@twoknife I can't emphasize enough how important is the center speaker placement and how much loss is it to have an UST to sacrifice that. When I had my LS800, I had my speaker angled upwards, but now with the speaker on the top of my TV table, it sounds much more nicer, and it gives you a proximity feeling to see the speaker just underneath the image.. I know LS12000 doesn't support DV, but when the source is DV, LS12000 uses HLG format, and I don't know the full technicalities of it, but it does take 3-4 seconds for the image to appear... same would be the case for HDR10+ content as well. Tried 5 fiber optic AOC HDMI cable and same behavior in all. But I don't mind that
Do you like it better than the shore throat Epson projector which picture looks better to you and can you do a video at night and show the quality of the projector in the dark
It isn’t the fire stick, I have the same issue with an Apple TV. What he and I share in common is Denon receivers, I have the 3700H and he has a 4700H. When I changed to HDCP 1.4 the problems disappeared, but you loose the ability to stream in 4k. As soon as I turned HDCP 2.3 back on, handshake issues started again. My 15 meter Bullet Train optical hdmi isn’t the issue either. There is something wrong with this generation of Denons and how they handle thr hdmi handshake with the epson 12000. I never had issues with the receiver and a TV.
@@lvervoortify Oh yes. I sold it and bought the Sony 5000ES, I got a great offer on this one from my dealer.... It's super quiet compared to the Epson (well at least mine), even with laser always @ 100%, but..... whatever can be read on reviews, the 12000 was better in some areas, especially HDR....
@@MrCrrispyok thanks. My dealer had offered me the Sony as well but I went for the Epson as I had a previous Epson which served me well for years. Did Epson solve the issue or told you what the reason was ? Thank you
@@lvervoortify I didn't even try. Here in France, you have to send back the projector to Epson at your own cost, even if it's 2 weeks old! Huge cost given you have to send/insure a €4,000 heavy and large box. Plus you have a significant chance of getting back the projector in the very same status with a comment from them saying that the noise is "normal" (I have 26 years home projectors numerous experiences, so I know how it works) and having wasted money and all that time without projector. But I was happy with my previous Epsons too (TW 6600 then 9300), that's why I initially went for the 12000
No it isn’t. I have the same issues he is. I have a Denon X3700H using a 15 meter Bullet Train optical HDMI cable. There are no settings on an Apple TV 4K that can be manipulated to improve HDMI handshake. Right now I’m having an issue with Hulu on Apple TV not wanting to play some movies. The screen just flashes between black and no signal blue, after a minute the picture may show up or it turns to static. Either way it won’t play, as soon as you hit play the screen flashing starts. It is hyper annoying so dumbass replies like yours don’t help.

I have the 12000 used with my Emotiva XMC-2 pre amp processor feeding from the newest Roku Ultra and I do not have any of those issues-

your screen is Aeon CineGrey 3D Series, in 120"?
yes
Are you going to keep the LS12000 or try a different product? How is daytime viewing compared to the UST you had before?

Yes, I like this better than the Epson LS800 short throw, better black level and I feel better clarity and sharpness too.

The Problem is the Fire Stick. Send it back. It's garbage. Buy the Fire Cube and all your problems will vanish! 😊
