The ford dealership recommend using 15w 30 because the injectors are cooled with oil and they said that 15 W 40 oil is too thick and they believe that that's why the injectors go out on the 6.4 I've been using 15w 30 for 3 years in my diesel pickup now it's got the 6.4 haven't had any problems with it
It's awful that FORD positioned the fuel filter inside behind the 4 wheel drive shaft . I have a tough time with this just after the tank is a nice space for the filter ...
Not wrong. Since when I've ventured into the mechanic world and I've gotten those small profile filter sockets and definitely makes it a lot easier but still hate them. The 6.0 I have now is 2wd so thankfully no driveshaft in the way
@@TheTexastngray well , the open space just after the fuel tank would have provided full access . where the fuel lines run . also , the mounting of the fuel filter is lousy . I shuv a piece of wood on top of the filter to brace it . from the torque to remove the cap .

Currently at 164k miles. I put in a new engine at 98k miles. My fault with with heavy foot and a big tune a few times. New engine has head studs and egr delete. I did exhaust, intake and tune on the original engine. After that not really any problems. I do what I can to keep up maintenance on it and that's just me on any vehicle. They aren't terrible trucks but just keep good maintenance on them
Saw a 08 F350 6.4 around 120k miles. It’s completely stock and wants around $15,000 for it. Is it a good deal?? He bought it brand new and had it since then

Haven't seen any 15w-30. Maybe the 10w30?
Did we agree on 10w-30 or 15w-30 I found both online and both are for turbo diesel

Hello. You drain lower filter while replacing the top? When i did my lower, fuel would not stop flowing out.
@@richardmartin39 I usually do yes. When it does that it usually has some vacuum pressure on the lines, open the fuel tank lid and it will help stop
