- Amazing game for Mac as he flirted with a 20 point triple double. He tied for the team lead in scoring, lead the team in assists with 9 and just 1 turnover and was 2nd on the team in rebounding. The crazy thing is that he missed a bunch of shots he normally makes, had he made a few of those and played a couple more minutes this could've been a 30 point triple double. Oh, and he lead the team with a +29
As well as he played, the the thing I liked best was that not only did he not look like a negative on the floor defensively, he actually looked like a net positive. Everyone knows he can score at the next level, but it's his perceived lack of defense keeping him out of the league. Overall, great way to end an amazing season... dunk champ, G League champ, and player of the game in the final regular season game for the 76ers. Hopefully his body of work these last 2 seasons can get him a full NBA contract next season. - กีฬา
Defense...taking charges...3 point sharpshooting, running the floor and finishing at the rim. He is more than a dunk contest legend...this dude has some serious all around game👌🏾

TJ McConnell is an elite passer and finisher. I'm rooting for Mac but I doubt he ever play's a full season in the NBA. He's just one of those border line players. Not quite good enough to play in the NBA but an elite G-league player. Maybe he can be a 3rd string point guard and play 6 minutes a night but that's about it.

@@covewhisper7615 if he was good enough to start … he would be starting. He still has to prove himself, like most all NBA players, over and over again. His main perceived problem is defense/height, which hopefully he will overcome with his hustle and athleticism (and smarts ?). He did good here playing against other “bench” players. Hope he gets more time/opportunity to improve and prove himself capable of a starting spot.

He got a chance and performed. Stayed out of foul trouble, grabbed some boards and played hard on D. Definitely his best performance on an NBA floor by leaps and bounds.

This was his first bit of time and he produced, he hustled and gave it his all. Definitely worthy of at least a chance to hone his skills and see what you can get from him.

What I really liked about his dunks in this game was that they're safe. He knows people get hyped seeing him detonate the rim but right now he has to secure the win and get points on the board. Definitely respect that he knows his priorities.
Love how he fights through picks, great recovery speed, when McClung penetrates with his speed it pressures the defense and they are forced to help which can lead to tons of kick outs for easy open 3s, shoots layups as well with left as he does right, doesn't give up on a play defensively. This is something I have struggled with myself mostly because other guys who I thought deserved more of a chance than they were given the reasons why they didn't Mac McClung excels at which has left me with thinking it has been due to one reason that is politics. I believe that to be the only reason possible when I have seen in the past other player that do not have the athleticism or the skills Mac has, but yet they were given a golden ticket to prove themselves for instance Eduardo Nájera who was the first Mexican born NBA draftee. He didn't was not near as good as Mac, but you would be fooled by the treatment he got in my opinion.
His best game as a pro so far! I hope the Miami Heat pick him up in the offseason, Lowry and Vincent are hot trash

Mac seems to have a work ethic like Austin Reaves, so he could really blossom into something for this Sixers team, especially after being so heavily scrutinized. Everyone said this man was not good enough to complete in the league, and that his dunk contest performance was just exciting, but not indicative of the kind of player he is. Can't wait to see his career develop further. A diamond in the rough undoubtedly.

He is fast with a great drive, his vertical is beyond impressive, has a high three percentage, great passing sence, average height for a PG but well built no easy injuries as oppossed to a lot of other modern players. Mac is a threat all around, he can do a fast drive to penetrate to the paint a three even a dunk. Because of that he is also valuable as a decoy. Mac has great work ethic and attitude. He has more potential than most of the overhyped players like Ben Simmons.
