      They are so quick to bench a white players...when in fact they have nothing but talent in white players. It's happening in college sports, the NFL and now the NBA is starting to see it's just not black athletes that are the best at sports. These are different times.

      He is cool to wathc and I never knew until the dunk contest. The NBA is horrible to me. It's shoot 3's and do some layups until the end, then boom defense. It's like the all-star game is in reality what everyone is, but everyone hates it. It would be amazing to see all the players in their full potential with a bit of effort on the court and you don't hardly get that anymore. There are teams that go the length to be the best, but most of the top players are just chilling out and collecting their paychecks anymore.

      @Barry Obama he did get called for 5 fouls but it was the effort that was important. the other guys were looking to score, he was doing the little stuff to help the team win. When you're a bubble player, coaches want to see a willingness in a player to what they want him to do. He does need to play defense with better control but that will happen with experience.

    Great debut for Mac! Fantastic job getting shots for his teammates. I believe that's what coaches want him to do right now. He passed up a lot of shots he could've taken. Once he gets more experience I think the coaches will give him more freedom to shoot. He's doing everything as he should right now. He has a great attitude and a hard worker who wants to get better. Can't wait till next season. Great job Mac!

    • @bigstink9
      @bigstink9 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Traditionally, your PG shouldn't be scoring 25 ppg. If Mac can be more of a passer, play defense, and be comfortable being the 4th-5th scoring option, he'll stick in the league and his teammates and coaches will love him.
      Most NBA PGs today are more scoring guards than passers who set up easy points for their teammates.
      I'm still shocked how much Mac has changed his overall game the last few years.

    • @everythinglakers1713
      @everythinglakers1713 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bigstink9 apparently Phil Handy after summer league told him if he wants to stick in this NBA league, he's gotta develop more of a pass-first point guard mentality. That is why McClung put in all that work with SBL and became way more of a facilitator which opened up his offensive game even more. He himself said it opened soo many opportunities he didn't know he could create and that is a young player who works their ass off to get better that I see. I hope the Lakers can keep his two way contract going into next season and eventually become a main contributor off the bench!

I would think so darn difficult to even get a spot in the NBA, let alone play, start, allstar, championships. I am a Magic/Bird/Jordan era fan--but love how the game is always evolving/changing. Gone from a Big-Man inside game to now a Guard's game spreading the floor.
