I work at an office job in the deep south. I've been on this job for 21 years and I'm ten years away from a good retirement. I can't travel due to also caring for my parents so I'm living vicariously through you and getting my travel done 😂😂😂 I just wanted to say thank you so much for your amazing content 🙏🙏🙏
@@MrsJedmo You most definitely do, sometimes we put too much pressure on ourselves, the stories I’ve heard from people traveling after they retire are marvelous, cheers and safe travels!
I watch a lot of flight attendant channels and you are one of very few who get out to see things during your layovers. Most seem to just shop, which is interesting too, but I like the sightseeing as well!
Congratulations Julia for getting out of your comfort zone and doing something you would never do. The more you do things like this , the more comfortable you will get. How beautiful and fascinating the Town of Bath was. Be safe.
I completely understand you - I also was so proud of myself when this year I flew alone to Barcelona, stayed one day and night there, didn’t get lost or robbed and the next day I went alone with bus to another small city in country side. All by myself!❤️ So, yes, it is an archievement, especially if you are introvert who usually are not alone is these kind of adventures in foreign cities!🎉
For future reference you don't need Oyster card. Any contactless credit card will work. Use same CC all day because is a maximum per day charge (around 8 pounds) regardless of how many times you use underground / buses. Trains are a different system.
I love Bath. We didn't have nearly enough time there. You're definitely brave for taking that trip yourself! My friend and I couldn't even get around London without getting lost😂
As a British person let me say you should be proud of yourself for navigating our train network. It is notoriously difficult even for locals to understand! Great video as always😀!
Great vlog as always! Good job, I agree! My experience around the world is that in the basement of the train station is the subway. Bath is an awesome place. We managed to empty a pub of all its Champagne. We had at least three bottles and the few other tables wanted to join in on the fun. Lol! Keep up the good work. Be safe! I am looking forward to when you fly to wonderful CPH!
Totally understand the anxiety and worry about using public transport in a different country especially if you don't need to use it at home. Well done!! I hope to be doing the same soon.
I'm proud of you too Julia! I'm pretty shy so I probably wouldn't have been out exploring so far to an unfamiliar place in foreign territory solo. I easily get lost and turned around so I wouldn't trust myself to do that. I'm happy you stepped out of your comfort zone. I felt like you did that for the both of us. Virtual high five and love the video :)
When going to the UK, a small collapsible "bumbershoot" or "Brolly" in British parlance would be a wise addition. You did remember a "Mac" so your heart was in the right place! 😊
Great job! I’ve taken that train. Half way there is Stonehenge which you can do another time plus an amazing spa in Bath. It’s nice to have stuff to do the next layover 😂. Good job doing it alone!
YES absolutely you deserve a pat on the back Julia. Definitely should be proud for navigating a foreign destination's public transit system solo...I said the same after you posted your Amsterdam vlog and stepped out of the comfort zone there :) And wow how stunning is Bath!!
Love your content. You are awesome. So down to earth, friendly and authentic. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I did consulting for many years and was typically always on my own in new places, so I can relate to this video and you stepping out of your comfort zone. It’s not easy but it is so worth it, and it builds confidence and pride in oneself.
Thank you so much!! & yes I agree, I have learned so much about myself, become independent and have a greater appreciation for our world from my solo adventures!
Hey next time you're in London, you dont need to buy an Oyster card to use the Tube or buses. You can just tap on with your Credit or Debit card. Same goes for Amsterdam! Great vid thanks!
London to Bath is gorgeous. We were there 7 years ago and loved the trip. Seeing the Roman bath house and museum was totally worth going. You did great. Love you videos.
I am so proud of you! I went to London last fall and it’s not easy to get around if you’re not familiar. I used a credit card to tap in & tap out on the Tube, rather than buy a ticket. I’ll go to Bath next time. Great tip about the other station (for long distances, not the Tube).
Hi Julia, i have been busy so just getting around to watching this video. I think I was in London at the same time as you! Glad you had a good trip to Bath.
The Roman Baths in Bath, England are awesome. I strongly encourage everyone to make the trip as it’s an amazing experience. Btw, the day I was there was a warm sunny day.
Bath is good for the soul. The architecture is simply stunning and there is so much to see. 2 dear friends live there and their door is always open to me. The countryside is green and luscious, perfect for picnics.
You should be super proud of yourself! I traveled from Scotland to Australia solo and was so proud of myself. I learned so much from my solo adventure about myself. So worth while ❤
I enjoy watching your vlogs Julia , they’re always so awesome, uplifting positive vibes mixed in with authenticity. I really appreciate that lol and super proud of you for navigating yourself to your desire destinations, great job!
Your trip brought back so many memories for memories.. I made the trip to Bath too. i went in a car with tour guide and one of my besties! Said bestie owned a Travel Agency at the time, so all of tours were just us us and the tour guide. If I remember correctly I think we saw Stonehenge that day too! I could never do what you did. Those train stations scare the devil out of me, especially Victoria!! Now you know that you can do anything, anywhere SOLO!! Safe Travels and we miss you here in the DFW area!
Love the adventures, that's what life is all about! Thank you for taking us on them and inspiring more travel! You really did the planes, trains, and automobiles circuit that day~
Hi Julia I thoroughly enjoyed that vlog. You were very brave to travel to Bath alone. The weather was abit gloomy. But everything looked amazing still. Thank you for taking us along. Can't wait to see where next ❤
I Really enjoy your channel here julia, as someone who rarely travels im living through your experiences 😅... thanks for sharing with us! Also im proud of u, that would strees me out not knowing where to catch my trains!!! Safe travels!! ❤
You did amazing London isn't easy to navigate even as someone from the UK, also thank you for appreciating the countryside, it's easy to become complacent about it when you see it every day but it really is beautiful isn't it!
Hi Julia, I can relate to being anxious about stepping out of your comfort zone. I flew to Zurich last year and had to get from the airport to the main train station in Zurich and then find my Hotel a few minutes walk from the train station, which was huge, i.e. like three or four levels and I had trouble with the ticket machine and found a service desk with a nice lady that was very kind and helpful and told me which track my train departed from. And then I had about a 15 minute walk to another hotel to meet up with other people on the tour group. I was proud of myself for doing that by myself, especially to a foreign country where I don't speak their language. Swiss people have a reputation of not being friendly and helpful but it was the opposite. Found them to be warm and welcoming. They spoke better English than I do.😉😁 Doing what we did instills a new level of self confidence even though it's a bit intimidating.
You DID great... I am amazed by your energy and stepping out of that comfort zone.. Something I'm very bad at... I loved the footage, it is beautiful. Glad you had a great time and thanks for the video!!!
I am fan girling hard!!! not only did you stay in london, where i’m from, but you also stayed in my hotel that i stay in!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁and you’re in Victoria!!! my local station!!! awww man wish i had bumped into you would have got a picture for sure!!!!!!

Grazie per il video Giulia... i remember Bath is an amazing place... and Le Terme Romane that still work... is a Beautiful city, i love it ... Ciao e Grazie ancora !!!!!!!! Bye !!!🌹🌹🌹
Welcome back to the UK Julia! So happy you could visit Bath. We have good friends there and visit regularly. The Royal crescent is an iconic place and your hover camera would definitely come in handy there. Would recommend the botanist for dinner if you ever go back.
Another great day trip on the train from London is to St Albans. Lots of history and a cool little town. I did that when I was studying abroad in London.
A very warm welcome to England. I hope you are enjoying your layover despite the weather! We are not having the best of Summers here this year (although it is starting to get better). Bath is a great place to visit. I would also recommend day trips to Oxford, Cambridge and York for future trips. Love watching your videos and wish you all the best.

Julia that promo was everything! you did SOOO good capturing the use of it! Wish I could get it now because it looks so helpful. specially during the summer where my Sony ZV1 and cell phone be getting sooo terribly hot so often.

Great Job Julia. I don't know if I would be brave enough to do what your doing. going out by my self. BUT!! My cousin is a retired fight attendant and she said she loved going to New York for Thanks Giving and Christmas walking around. she said at first she didn't. but she I'm here why not. Love seeing the old buildings.

Happy Birthday 🎉 thats was a wonderful trip Bath is so pretty been there a few times with my parents on holiday When i was much younger 😊 . You did extremely well navigating the Trains 😜🫶. Have a lovely evening 🥰
Bath looks beautiful! So much history.. I've been to England twice but never to Bath. And good for you for going on that day trip by yourself. It is somewhat intimidating when we're not familiar in a new city or country. Especially when you're alone. Thank you for sharing! :)
