Hello sweetheart! Just watched your video, re: getting fired from EK. Now, I don’t usually comment on posts, but I’ll just say this - It’s their loss and in fact, they did you a huge favour. I was employed by EK for a number of years as cabin crew, back in 2003. It was toxic then and is clearly not much better today. People from all over the world, desperate to join an organisation that will one day, only disappoint them in the end. The thrill is in the chase, the dream job that is….or so they think. Most crew don’t stay long, they’re happy for about 4 - 6 months until the novelty of flying wears thin, the genuine smiles fade, they’re exhausted. The reality begins to shine through. It wasn’t what they expected at all. In your case, count your lucky stars above, your termination was a blessing in disguise. 😎 However, important to note that just sometimes….what we can’t have or don’t get can play havoc with our ego…..be mindful of this. In other words, be careful what you wish for and be sure to let go of any remaining disappointment surrounding this experience…..so it doesn’t trick you while hanging around in your head….causing you to reflect and think all sorts. In short….don’t obsess on this experience. Let it go. Btw….I worked for Etihad too, as cabin crew. Same as EK, just smaller. Someone up there is definitely looking out for you! Your Guardian Angel perhaps!? There’s no such thing as coincidence! The reason for this experience and inner healing will reveal itself, let this happen and when it does, smile and don’t look back!…….There’s bigger plans for you, young lady. You come across as an intelligent & respectable individual, you present yourself far beyond the requirements of EY & EK. You’re natural and sincere. Get yourself into VIP cabin crew flying, if flying is what you truly want to do right now. I’m sure the private airlines would only be delighted to recruit you. DO NOT APPLY TO QATAR AIRWAYS…….🤣
Getting terminated, accepted and then terminated again means that you are meant for something else. You can always try the private aviation sector. NetJets, Vista Jets, or another international airline.
@@catbeingcurious Yes. With some, to an extent, you can make your own schedule, as you are a contractor, not an employee. I think there are even agencies that will offer you flights. I'm a former Airline Flight Dispatcher and interviewed with such companies.
go to Delta, American, United etc. Don't give up. If you must go to Emirates then after a year try again. By that time you would have a ton of flying experience with orher airlines. If you don't persevere they win with they're petty rules. You may find you like the other airlines better. Best wishes. BTW don't put people on a pedestial. The top pedestial is the Lord himself. Unfortunately, Emirates throws people away because there's always someone else waiting for your job and they have all the money in the world to train them. There is no scarcity at all so they don't need to have a heart.
Emirates didn't lose anything - stop pandering on TH-cam like a simp. They got plenty of actual high-quality women who are truly modest and self-respecting who don't tat themselves up to serve high-value clientele
I applied for a job at this big airline as a gate agent. The interview was cut short and obviously I didn't get the job. Months later I found out they have a high turnover and employees complaints. The same position has been open for a while. My God blessed me with a good job right after I left that interview feeling like a failure!! 🙏🏼✝️🙌🏼
This video randomly showed up in my feed, i was so interested in the title,so read on & was mesmerized by your story ,how arriculate you are, & how resiient you were to immediately try for another airline..I'm an old lady now,but WAY back ,long before you & your subs were ever born,i applied for a position at a now defunct airline, was rejected & was devastated, i was so devastated that i stupidly would not try for any other airlines ( something i have always regretted.) So,keep on trying, even if this leads you on a different path,just never give up! Best wishes!
This is EXTREMELY heartbreaking. Especially knowing that it was such an innocent mistake. I literally just flew into Vancouver today for the assessment day on Tuesday but after watching this I don’t know how I feel. Thanks for having the courage to share your experience. I know how difficult it is to lose a job that you spent years preparing for. I wish you the best. You have to roll with the punches through life's ups and downs. You deserved better than that. I spent a painful last few years. I was a caregiver for my parents and the last six months of my mother's life were very difficult physically, mentally and emotionally for me while my brother did nothing to help. We called him out on it, he didn't even go to her funeral blaming us that we told him not to come, not true. He then turns around and sues her estate claiming we took money from the house after I devoted eight years of my life helping my parents. Things have finally settled down but I worked 34 years to be able to travel and enjoy life and the first few years of retirement have been very difficult. So hang in there. I can tell you are a beautiful and sweet young lady with tons of potential and it only takes one person to realize that and you"ll be on your way.❤️❤️🙏🙏
Coming from a former Emirates flight attendant, please believe me when I tell you, you've dodged a bullet. I did it for 2 years before quitting - it was exhausting and I was truly miserable. They sell you a dream, but it's a soulless job with a brutal company. They treat you poorly, as you've experienced first hand.
Hey Catharine. Wow what a post. First of all you deserve an applause for being so open and vulnerable on video, and still wanting to put other potential EK candidates on the right path. It shows your true colors and you can only be very proud of that. I won’t even start about the security lady, because people here have commented enough about it, but I do want to mention I felt that and it’s definitely unacceptable in every human way. The other thing is you mentioned towards the end of the video that ‘maybe i shouldn’t put my whole heart into something, because you get hurt if it goes wrong’ part; Please don’t ever change that. It’s obviously who you are and part of your uniqueness, personality and talent. It’s like what Steve Jobs said years ago… Stay young, stay foolish… you be you, never apologize for it, just be yourself always. And whatever you do don’t lose yourself and that beautiful authenticity. I have a reasonably broad network in the aviation industry, and there’s a ton of airlines that are dying to hire you. Also ‘going private’ could be an option, and consider flying Corporate jets (or private jets if you’re one of the lucky few) Your story truly touched me a lot and I can only wish you the very best. Whatever you do always put your whole heart in, just take setbacks as learnings and focus on what’s next and when next. Let me know if you need anything. I'm so sorry to hear about what happened. i had a similar break down at me last open day in march 2024 , after i made it to the final interview i was the last candidate to be interviewed , as i sat down the recruiter hit me with the bad news, telling me that i don't want to give you hope and do an interview because i know that the hiring managers won't accept you. i literally froze and started asking why what's the reason ??! is it my cv , age, nationality, work experience or my height ????!! the recruiter said that she can not say why unfortunately, i literally started crying , like i've been here since 8:30 am and it's 8:30 pm now this whole day feeling nervous and excited that i am finally getting closer to my dream , why did you keep me till the end ? why didn't you just send me home from the first group discussion ? i asked her was it my looks , was it how i was in the group activities ? she said no, she also started getting emotional because of how i broke down in frustration, she said if you guess the reason i will confirm it , i said age , work experience , nationality , height ? she said yes , the height , i told her but i am above the minimum height of 160cm , she said but according to my measurement you are 161cm , i was confused ?! i said but even 161cm is above the minimum , and i wouldn't even apply if i knew that i don't have the basic requirements , she said i know i hope one day this will change and it would be clearer . i just sat there and cried and she even asked me have you applied to other airlines , why don't you try with Etihad , you can also apply for the customer service roles , while handling me a tissue. so i fee your pain and i do feel that you are just a number to them , i was even asking myself , like i am not even hired with this company and i already feel like i am not treated well , what would have happen if i signed a contract and then found out how they treat their employees ? is everything i hear and see online true. i don't know if i would try again honestly , maybe other airlines but not emirates.
That doesn't make any sense. Why would they not accept you if you are above the minimum height? does that mean they don't even accept someone who is 160?

I’m really sorry this happened to you since you are a perfect candidate for this role, for sure. Hearing stories like yours always turns me to reflection about how ruthless and dismissive this corporate culture is sometimes to an individual, their story and potential. In my opinion, YOU are a missed opportunity for Emirates, not vise versa. Please, try to think of it this way, because it’s true. 3. It’s super random, but I’ve never met a person who speaks 7 languages. I’m very impressed and curious to know which languages are these and how you’ve managed to not only learn, but also maintain them. I can guess they are Spanish, French and English, but what are the rest? 4. Please seek your dream and never give up, no matter if it’s aviation or something else. @@catbeingcurious Ahhh. Your name and mastery of Farsi probably said "Iranian" to the Emirates AND Etihad people. As I recall the two countries are at opposite ends of Islam and have fought often. If that's not it, I suspect it's something similar would have gotten you disqualified at some point. May I guess there are no Jews, especially Israelis, working there?

EK is strict .. and exactly what you said.. look comes first with them there. As far as I see, you didn’t lose much, cos after all, there’s no permanent living in Dubai. They pay you well, but they use you a lot too. And it’s a term contract where you might get extended every couple of years. That means it’s an evaluation throughout your contract. In the end, if you leave the company, you pack and go, it doesn’t matter how long and how much you got yourself attached to it. Dubai isn’t the most comfortable place to live. I worked for them on the ground.. It was a hardest job in the industry. And now I’m flying with AC. Yes, conditions are different. Yes, pays are not as great at first, but things get better overtime and we live our chill life where the collective environment protects us. Home is where your heart feels rested at, not where the glams are. I went to Dubai for my training back then, Now I know that I’m so happy to be home
I worked in Human Resources for many years, and Etihad sounds very unprofessional. People quit their jobs after receiving employment offers. So, they are without paychecks until receiving their "start date." Did you ever look into Cathay Pacific or Thai Airlines? When one door closes, another opens.

As somebody who's been through a lot of surprise changes in my life, who has also been let go from what was a dream job before, it was really healing and restorative to watch you speak about your journey and your experience, and with such maturity, objectivity, and vulnerability all at once (I mean, it's your goddamn life). And humour. You seem to be amazingly resourceful and even though the whole situation just effing sucks (my jaw was dropped for like half the video because... these companies won't ever grasp of how much of a human consequence these huge, sweeping decisions can be... because unfortunately they don't have to) I have to agree with some of the others in the comments that you're absolutely destined for something greater. I'm so sorry to hear your experiences but I'm happy for you for being on your way to make peace with it and share it with us. I think sharing it takes away a lot of the pain as one part of it is shame and as you can see, people here are so supportive of you. I'm sure it's not easy. But I really hope you are able to turn the situation around and when you are on the opposite side of this, you'll look back and see that these current "lows" is what makes your next chapter sweeter. Like the other comments say, you are beautiful and intelligent. Be confident. And I would suggest to try different airlines, if you are still interested. Maybe Cathay Pacific or Jetstar or something like that. But maybe best wait until it's completely removed just to be safe. Good luck and love from Indonesia!

The reason your offer was retracted was because Emirates would have been obligated to tell them that you lied when applying to them. It was nothing to do with the tattoo itself.
@@catbeingcurious It may have been for a higher reason that has nothing to do with earthly matters. Trust God (or Allah, if you prefer). I did and He helped me more than I could have helped myself! And I'm no one special.
Etihad did a background check including prior employment and found out she had been at Emirates and the circumstances surrounding her firing. That gave Etihad sufficient concern whether she could be trusted (I know, but the fact is she did it, period), and Etihad doesn’t need to hire someone who is willing to violate company policy and lie about it. There were 699 other candidates in that room, and 699 thousand elsewhere who’d jump at the chance to work there. It sucks but those are the rules of the game.

I had this Job and 💯 Honestly I prayed to get fired. I was housed in the White Building which was a gross old place. I had to surrender my passport. When I went to the Mall's to shop small minded shop workers giggled at me insinuating I was a prostitute when I gave my Emirates staff address. Then I had a couple disgusting female superiors who would wave their finger in my face for nothing threatening myself and other cabin crew members saying " one way ticket home" I felt bad for my colleagues who came from disadvantaged countries petrified but I was from the UK and laughed at the bullies. I was pleased I did the job but pleased when I left. UAE is a bubble everyone should experience once but get back to reality. My soul craved genuine realness. I wish you a bright future. Fortune favours the Bold! You tried and now onto another adventure ❤
I once had a dream 6 figure job here in Toronto. But my boss was the worst human being on earth. I ended up quitting and it was not easy. I felt the loss and was hard. But I am doing well now and thankful that I have respected myself than respect a bully and an organization that protects him.

In my 76 years (and counting) I've found there are some of us who TRY to fit into the pegs they try, from childhood on, to shape us for. But some of us just won't fit. We try, and are so sad when - once again - we've been rejected. But some of us just can't push down that spark of independence, that "Hey, I am ME!" that's in everyone to varying degrees. Once you accept and understand that, each interview will be YOU interviewing your employer, deciding if they are human enough to accept people with a reasonable number of (what they see as) flaws. If they don't measure up, fire THEM! Or... do something on your own or with a friend... but don't start a partnership... that's a bad marriage without the sex! God will help you if you reach out to Him. He did it for me, and hey, I'm nobody special.

I was crew for 10years and Japan Airlines for 5years and was my dream job and glad i fulfilled it but let me tell you I have a number of friends who worked for Emirates and the glory of it quickly fades as they are so ruthless and tough to work for. I know thats not gonna help as youd like to make your own experiences but Emirates turned me down after submitting my photo at the last round, guess i wasnt pretty enough but they did me a favour and all worked out great for not going through what my friends described as a golden prison and getting JAL! Pick yourself up there are a world of airlines out there and you will have every success!!! 👋👋💯💯💯

I think you are not really understanding why they did not choose you. It’s not anything like you are thinking. It has nothing to do with your tattoo (which could be easily hidden.). What they don’t say outright is that you are too intelligent for the job! You speak 7 languages! Definitely over qualified & smart enough to know your rights…just what they don’t want! The people they choose must be bubble heads & not fight them on anything cause they know they pull illegal & unfair work practices!!!! Do not grieve this!!! You are not aware of how disgusting these “corporations” run their business!!! These type positions are the bottom feeder positions in these fields. You can do way way better!!! May I suggest applying for government interpreter position. I believe you will find that much more to your benefit.

Last year I found what I thought was my dream house... 3 doors from mine and perfect... I put my house for sale, applied to buy the new one, got accepted, and actually started packing... and then... the house went to someone else. It took me about a year to get over it but I see clearly that this was not what I really needed. I'm on a new path and it's going to be so amazing ❤

Hello sweetheart! Just watched your video, re: getting fired from EK. Now, I don’t usually comment on posts, but I’ll just say this - It’s their loss and in fact, they did you a huge favour.
I was employed by EK for a number of years as cabin crew, back in 2003. It was toxic then and is clearly not much better today. People from all over the world, desperate to join an organisation that will one day, only disappoint them in the end. The thrill is in the chase, the dream job that is….or so they think. Most crew don’t stay long, they’re happy for about 4 - 6 months until the novelty of flying wears thin, the genuine smiles fade, they’re exhausted. The reality begins to shine through. It wasn’t what they expected at all.
In your case, count your lucky stars above, your termination was a blessing in disguise. 😎
However, important to note that just sometimes….what we can’t have or don’t get can play havoc with our ego…..be mindful of this. In other words, be careful what you wish for and be sure to let go of any remaining disappointment surrounding this experience…..so it doesn’t trick you while hanging around in your head….causing you to reflect and think all sorts. In short….don’t obsess on this experience. Let it go.
Btw….I worked for Etihad too, as cabin crew. Same as EK, just smaller. Someone up there is definitely looking out for you! Your Guardian Angel perhaps!? There’s no such thing as coincidence! The reason for this experience and inner healing will reveal itself, let this happen and when it does, smile and don’t look back!…….There’s bigger plans for you, young lady.
You come across as an intelligent & respectable individual, you present yourself far beyond the requirements of EY & EK. You’re natural and sincere.
Get yourself into VIP cabin crew flying, if flying is what you truly want to do right now. I’m sure the private airlines would only be delighted to recruit you.

Getting terminated, accepted and then terminated again means that you are meant for something else. You can always try the private aviation sector. NetJets, Vista Jets, or another international airline.

I'm a former Airline Flight Dispatcher and interviewed with such companies.
go to Delta, American, United etc. Don't give up. If you must go to Emirates then after a year try again. By that time you would have a ton of flying experience with orher airlines. If you don't persevere they win with they're petty rules. You may find you like the other airlines better. Best wishes. BTW don't put people on a pedestial. The top pedestial is the Lord himself. I'm sure she is NOT that beautiful, not inside anyway

I applied for a job at this big airline as a gate agent. The interview was cut short and obviously I didn't get the job. Months later I found out they have a high turnover and employees complaints. The same position has been open for a while.

This video randomly showed up in my feed, i was so interested in the title,so read on & was mesmerized by your story ,how arriculate you are, & how resiient you were to immediately try for another airline..I'm an old lady now,but WAY back ,long before you & your subs were ever born,i applied for a position at a now defunct airline, was rejected & was devastated, i was so devastated that i stupidly would not try for any other airlines ( something i have always regretted.)

This is EXTREMELY heartbreaking. Especially knowing that it was such an innocent mistake. I literally just flew into Vancouver today for the assessment day on Tuesday but after watching this I don’t know how I feel. You have to roll with the punches through life's ups and downs. You deserved better than that. I spent a painful last few years. I was a caregiver for my parents and the last six months of my mother's life were very difficult physically, mentally and emotionally for me while my brother did nothing to help. We called him out on it, he didn't even go to her funeral blaming us that we told him not to come, not true. He then turns around and sues her estate claiming we took money from the house after I devoted eight years of my life helping my parents. Things have finally settled down but I worked 34 years to be able to travel and enjoy life and the first few years of retirement have been very difficult. So hang in there. I can tell you are a beautiful and sweet young lady with tons of potential and it only takes one person to realize that and you"ll be on your way.❤️❤️🙏🙏

Coming from a former Emirates flight attendant, please believe me when I tell you, you've dodged a bullet. I did it for 2 years before quitting - it was exhausting and I was truly miserable. They sell you a dream, but it's a soulless job with a brutal company. They treat you poorly, as you've experienced first hand.

Hey Catharine. Wow what a post. First of all you deserve an applause for being so open and vulnerable on video, and still wanting to put other potential EK candidates on the right path. It shows your true colors and you can only be very proud of that.
I won’t even start about the security lady, because people here have commented enough about it, but I do want to mention I felt that and it’s definitely unacceptable in every human way.
The other thing is you mentioned towards the end of the video that ‘maybe i shouldn’t put my whole heart into something, because you get hurt if it goes wrong’ part; Please don’t ever change that. It’s obviously who you are and part of your uniqueness, personality and talent. It’s like what Steve Jobs said years ago… Stay young, stay foolish… you be you, never apologize for it, just be yourself always. And whatever you do don’t lose yourself and that beautiful authenticity.
I have a reasonably broad network in the aviation industry, and there’s a ton of airlines that are dying to hire you. Also ‘going private’ could be an option, and consider flying Corporate jets (or private jets if you’re one of the lucky few)
Your story truly touched me a lot and I can only wish you the very best. Whatever you do always put your whole heart in, just take setbacks as learnings and focus on what’s next and when next. Let me know if you need anything.

I'm so sorry to hear about what happened. i had a similar break down at me last open day in march 2024 , after i made it to the final interview i was the last candidate to be interviewed , as i sat down the recruiter hit me with the bad news, telling me that i don't want to give you hope and do an interview because i know that the hiring managers won't accept you. i literally froze and started asking why what's the reason ??! is it my cv , age, nationality, work experience or my height ????!! the recruiter said that she can not say why unfortunately, i literally started crying , like i've been here since 8:30 am and it's 8:30 pm now this whole day feeling nervous and excited that i am finally getting closer to my dream , why did you keep me till the end ? why didn't you just send me home from the first group discussion ? i asked her was it my looks , was it how i was in the group activities ? she said no, she also started getting emotional because of how i broke down in frustration, she said if you guess the reason i will confirm it , i said age , work experience , nationality , height ? she said yes , the height , i told her but i am above the minimum height of 160cm , she said but according to my measurement you are 161cm , i was confused ?! i said but even 161cm is above the minimum , and i wouldn't even apply if i knew that i don't have the basic requirements , she said i know i hope one day this will change and it would be clearer . i just sat there and cried and she even asked me have you applied to other airlines , why don't you try with Etihad , you can also apply for the customer service roles , while handling me a tissue.
so i fee your pain and i do feel that you are just a number to them , i was even asking myself , like i am not even hired with this company and i already feel like i am not treated well , what would have happen if i signed a contract and then found out how they treat their employees ? is everything i hear and see online true.
i don't know if i would try again honestly , maybe other airlines but not emirates.

1. You’ve probably been told this a million times before, but your manner of speaking reveals you as a very intelligent, deep and thinking person. I don’t care how ridiculous it sounds considering I’ve only watched a 20-minutes-long videoclip of you - such a person is visible immediately, from the first sentence they utter. I can also tell by how genuine and open-hearted you are that you’ve overcome some challenges in life, Emirates being just one of them, and managed to remain a good person. It’s so uncommon to run into someone like this, both on the Internet and in real life. I’m happy I came across your channel and I’ll follow your journey, no matter what path you’ll choose.
2. I’m really sorry this happened to you since you are a perfect candidate for this role, for sure. Hearing stories like yours always turns me to reflection about how ruthless and dismissive this corporate culture is sometimes to an individual, their story and potential. In my opinion, YOU are a missed opportunity for Emirates, not vise versa. Please, try to think of it this way, because it’s true.
3. It’s super random, but I’ve never met a person who speaks 7 languages. I’m very impressed and curious to know which languages are these and how you’ve managed to not only learn, but also maintain them. I can guess they are Spanish, French and English, but what are the rest?
4. Please seek your dream and never give up, no matter if it’s aviation or something else. I’m very afraid to give any advice, because I know how ignorant and out of place it may sound from a stranger, but I guess you can reapply for Etihad, FlyDubai or AirArabia after you tattoo removal is done. I know what it feels to be lost in life - I’ve been there myself.
5. You are a strikingly beautiful, talented, intelligent and strong-willed young lady. You have everything to be happy. Your situation deserves understanding and sympathy, but you as a person do not deserve condescending pity, you know what I mean? Everything will turn out the best possible way for you.

EK is strict .. and exactly what you said.. look comes first with them there. As far as I see, you didn’t lose much, cos after all, there’s no permanent living in Dubai. They pay you well, but they use you a lot too. And it’s a term contract where you might get extended every couple of years. That means it’s an evaluation throughout your contract. In the end, if you leave the company, you pack and go, it doesn’t matter how long and how much you got yourself attached to it. Dubai isn’t the most comfortable place to live. I worked for them on the ground.. It was a hardest job in the industry. And now I’m flying with AC. Yes, conditions are different. Yes, pays are not as great at first, but things get better overtime and we live our chill life where the collective environment protects us. Home is where your heart feels rested at, not where the glams are. I went to Dubai for my training back then, Now I know that I’m so happy to be home

I worked in Human Resources for many years, and Etihad sounds very unprofessional. People quit their jobs after receiving employment offers. So, they are without paychecks until receiving their "start date." Did you ever look into Cathay Pacific or Thai Airlines? When one door closes, another opens.

I'm so sorry to hear your experiences but I'm happy for you for being on your way to make peace with it and share it with us. I think sharing it takes away a lot of the pain as one part of it is shame and as you can see, people here are so supportive of you. I'm sure it's not easy. But I really hope you are able to turn the situation around and when you are on the opposite side of this, you'll look back and see that these current "lows" is what makes your next chapter sweeter. Like the other comments say, you are beautiful and intelligent. Be confident. And I would suggest to try different airlines, if you are still interested. Maybe Cathay Pacific or Jetstar or something like that. But maybe best wait until it's completely removed just to be safe. Good luck and love from Indonesia!

The reason your offer was retracted was because Emirates would have been obligated to tell them that you lied when applying to them. It was nothing to do with the tattoo itself.

Etihad did a background check including prior employment and found out she had been at Emirates and the circumstances surrounding her firing. That gave Etihad sufficient concern whether she could be trusted (I know, but the fact is she did it, period), and Etihad doesn’t need to hire someone who is willing to violate company policy and lie about it. There were 699 other candidates in that room, and 699 thousand elsewhere who’d jump at the chance to work there. It sucks but those are the rules of the game.

I had this Job and 💯 Honestly I prayed to get fired. I was housed in the White Building which was a gross old place. I had to surrender my passport. When I went to the Mall's to shop small minded shop workers giggled at me insinuating I was a prostitute when I gave my Emirates staff address. Then I had a couple disgusting female superiors who would wave their finger in my face for nothing threatening myself and other cabin crew members saying " one way ticket home" I felt bad for my colleagues who came from disadvantaged countries petrified but I was from the UK and laughed at the bullies. I was pleased I did the job but pleased when I left. UAE is a bubble everyone should experience once but get back to reality. My soul craved genuine realness. I wish you a bright future. Fortune favours the Bold! You tried and now onto another adventure ❤
I once had a dream 6 figure job here in Toronto. But my boss was the worst human being on earth. I ended up quitting and it was not easy. I felt the loss and was hard. But I am doing well now and thankful that I have respected myself than respect a bully and an organization that protects him.

Émirats it's like Dubai, they take poor people and use them as slaves for customer services or crew. So please no more crying. In my 76 years (and counting) I've found there are some of us who TRY to fit into the pegs they try, from childhood on, to shape us for. But some of us just won't fit. We try, and are so sad when - once again - we've been rejected.
But some of us just can't push down that spark of independence, that "Hey, I am ME!" that's in everyone to varying degrees.
Once you accept and understand that, each interview will be YOU interviewing your employer, deciding if they are human enough to accept people with a reasonable number of (what they see as) flaws. If they don't measure up, fire THEM!
Or... do something on your own or with a friend... but don't start a partnership... that's a bad marriage without the sex!
God will help you if you reach out to Him. He did it for me, and hey, I'm nobody special.

I was crew for 10years and Japan Airlines for 5years and was my dream job and glad i fulfilled it but let me tell you I have a number of friends who worked for Emirates and the glory of it quickly fades as they are so ruthless and tough to work for. I know thats not gonna help as youd like to make your own experiences but Emirates turned me down after submitting my photo at the last round, guess i wasnt pretty enough but they did me a favour and all worked out great for not going through what my friends described as a golden prison and getting JAL! Pick yourself up there are a world of airlines out there and you will have every success!!! 👋👋💯💯💯

I think you are not really understanding why they did not choose you. It’s not anything like you are thinking. It has nothing to do with your tattoo (which could be easily hidden.). What they don’t say outright is that you are too intelligent for the job! You speak 7 languages! Definitely over qualified & smart enough to know your rights…just what they don’t want! The people they choose must be bubble heads & not fight them on anything cause they know they pull illegal & unfair work practices!!!! Do not grieve this!!! You are not aware of how disgusting these “corporations” run their business!!! These type positions are the bottom feeder positions in these fields. You can do way way better!!! May I suggest applying for government interpreter position. I believe you will find that much more to your benefit.

And why would they care? It wasn't even in a visible spot on your arm. Unbelievable. I think they were too harsh. Their loss. I think you have a great future in front of you
Thanks for your empathy. I made the video because I think many people may not know how long it really takes to remove tattoos, and hopefully my experience can help them avoid this issue. It was harsh but as Emirates requires this it will be a useful video for others at least 💕

Last year I found what I thought was my dream house... 3 doors from mine and perfect... I put my house for sale, applied to buy the new one, got accepted, and actually started packing... and then... the house went to someone else. It took me about a year to get over it but I see clearly that this was not what I really needed. I'm on a new path and it's going to be so amazing ❤
