    Thank you for posting this. Your project is a great motivator. Mine is an '86 with an AHU swap. The progress stalled about 2 years ago.

      Awesome, well with yours being a CE1 like ours hopefully this will help a wee bit if you went the swapping over route. And even better if it can help motivate you to get back to it :)

      More to come, we haven’t given up on it - it just turned out we had a lot more bodywork to do than planned!!

    Thanks for this. I may need to remove my slam panel for retrofit aircon condensor. Looks less intrusive than I thought.

      Yeah we remove them on a regular basis for doing work, takes really about 5 minutes when you know where all the bolts are and makes for much less effort to work!

    I work on a driveway made of the same gravelly stuff , get a cheap yoga matt and use it when you have to kneel or lay down on the stones ..... your body will thank you lol

    hello ive got a mk2 jetta 1987 that is ce1 loom and i putting a pd130 engine in. I've been recommended to swap to a ce2 loom and fuse board, is it hard to swap to ce2 loom

    • @427Motorsports
      @427Motorsports  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We will be getting into that in a future episode, but it depends on how much you want to strip! We were going to go PD and we were going to do a CE2 swap to be honest, but it's not necessary. Likely less effort and faff to go CE2 than to stay CE1.

      Awesome! We'll need to get around to doing a follow up to this, we're sadly still waiting on bodywork to be done, but hopefully shouldn't be too much longer. Thanks for the comment!
