not to mention that van der poel is much more complete (XCO,XCC, Gravel, Cyclocross, Road) , while Pogi only stays on the Road
Great coverage. I usually watch on Eurosport+ with Dutch commentary though. Thijs van Amerongen and Jeroen van Belleghem have good banter and knowledge just like Jeremy and I prefer their style.

@@danmoody6756 no it was not jsut what the commentators said, there is a small group of Belgium fans who only come to cyclocross races to boo MvdP, thats their only goal all winter long. the first 6 crosses Matthieu tried to ignore it, knowing its only a group of about 15 ppl. Even Wout has already repeatedly said that its ridiculous. i hope next time they will just be kicked out, cuz they are making this sport look bad.

This is becoming a problem at most sports venues now. Most of the money made on the day is from booze, so thats what the venue wants and also the UCI, as they want their cut. So you've gone from people who liked a day out watching a bike race and having a beer, to basically people just going for the beer - like a beer festival and getting absolutely twatted. The racing is secondary. I know this as I work at a major sports venue... we have seen a change in the type of crowd and behaviour (usually moron blokes who can't handle their beers). And of course many people are more interested in selfies than actually watching. But that's how the world is evolving... sadly.
no sure that people can hammer themselves so much in 2 hours in such cold weather ... you will not drink 5 beers outside in 5-10 degrees but hardly to see any money in this sport and we see it in sponsors
@@krempixxx Not true, and it's not just 2hrs.... The race maybe 2hrs in total, but not the event. I speak from experience as my job is these sports events. A lot of the money is raised from concessions and to hold an event UCI need to take a cut of money. So the drinking will start mid morning to late afternoon. And because you can't personally envisage drinking 5 beers in a couple of hours or so doesn't mean others can't. We see it at every event, people jugging pints in freezing temps, despite the cost of a pint. I talk to friends who work in other sports, they see it changing too. And the money in CX in Belgium is big. And as for sponsors... you do see the podium presented with beer? From the sponsors....
@@Chunky246 i see cheaper sponsors as you mentioning but imagine that many races are in really bad weather so there is no way somenone would drink beer :D other alcohol maybe but beer is just worst thing to drink :D
