I plan to visit Fukui in my overnext trip to Japan, and Fukui will be included then. Personally, I dont like day trips, so I will probably stay there for 1-2 nights, but I am not worried at all that I will be bored. The meal you ate from 14:00 onwards looked really interesting and it all looked so foreign too me. And I have to admit, also a bit bland. But as I always like to try local food, I am thankful that you shared this place with us.

My parents were like this, but unfortunately my dad died before they could reach their 50th year of marriage. I am a huge fan of Japan and have been there several times, and already look forward to our next trip in March 2025. If you want any tipps, I am really happy to help you.
That fried tofu looked fabulous, but so did the katsudon and soba. I know-I'm hopeless, but it all looks so good. 😊 I would be overwhelmed by choice with so many tasty options.
You should go to the Omaezaki nuclear station. I lived there from 2008 until 2010 and visited the Omaezaki nuclear plant. It was one of the coolest tours. There's also the ropes park, I don't remember for sure if it's in Kakegawa or Kikugawa. I also went to the zoo and the flower park in Fukuroi. I miss Japan.

Why are the fish flakes moving? This trip looks like fun for dinosaur fans.
The fish flakes are incredibly thin and light so the slightest air movement or even the heat coming off of a dish can cause them to move.
