I don't know why but i love your videos. I watch them before bed and they calm me down. Thanks for your content!
Thank you for letting me tour and experience places in Japan that I would never get to do without this! ❤
Really glad you enjoyed the tour! Stay tuned for more adventures.
@@experience_japan I look forward to it!
BBQ Eel. I think there was rice, small soup, pickled veggies, something else. Was back in the mid 1970s. But now you must buy in advance. Olden days you got from the train. Green tea. But those Bullet trains are so graceful & sleek compared to the time of the 1970s.
Love reminiscing about the past! Japanese trains have indeed come a long way. The food sounds delightful too.
As someone who has to drive around for work all day I would LOVE it if we could get self-heating bento meals in the United States. I've seen self-heating military MREs but it's a great idea to use that same principle for ordinary lunches.
And I don't think I could have eaten more than one of those larger meals, much less five bento meals. Well done!
In the Netherlands we have semi-raw herring with onions and pickles, a truly Dutch delight!
Wonderful video. Loved that you did all those bento boxes. The Jelly reminded me of our Jello with a bit of different texture. The lesson on the persimmon sushi was great. Thank you for teaching us. I love knowing that kind of history about foods. Thank you!
Thank you for your kind words! I'm thrilled to share food history and culture. More to come!
I was busy, that's why I was late watching the Video this time, I'm a loyal follower😂❤️You definitely remembered me 😁
Sea food is popular here in the US and sushi is a growing trend i really enjoy watching videos about your country it is refreshing to see people who live in a high population can act with dignity and respect towards one another one day i hope for my country to act as adults instead of spoiled children
Japanese food is made to look like art. Too pretty to eat.
Absolutely, Japanese cuisine is an art form! Glad you appreciate its beauty.
Thank God, my friend. I was wondering when I would see another amazing video from you. Be safe, much love, please have fun for me
Thanks for waiting! New videos are on the way. Stay safe and lots of love!
The Bento Boxes looked so delicious and beautiful presentation. I love your videos! Interesting, informative, and relaxing. Thank you!
You have an amazing healthy apetite, EJ! I lost count of the amount of bento boxes you managed to consume😅 ...I live on the coast, in the south of England, 🇬🇧 UK, and fish plays a big part of my diet. Mackerel and Herring eaten raw, smoked or pickled, Pilchards (also known as Sardines) and Cod are a few of my favourites...I really liked your Bento food Odyssey on the shinkansen Nozomi. Thank you so much for the enjoyable vlog!👍🥰
Thank you for watching and sharing your love for seafood! Glad you enjoyed the bento journey on the Shinkansen Nozomi. More adventures to come!
I wish we had Ekiben type meals here to buy. I do enjoy the bento boxes for lunch at my local Japanese restaurant. After seeing the different meals, I think I'd like the seafood ones. My father introduced me to octopus and squid years ago. But they all look delicious. Thank you for sharing.
Glad to hear you enjoy Japanese bento boxes! Seafood varieties have a unique charm. It's great that your father introduced you to such diverse tastes!
Thank you for another excellent video! One of my best friends is Japanese, and we plan on going to Japan next year, I’m looking forward to it, I probably won’t want to leave! 😂
So excited for your trip to Japan! You're going to have an amazing time. Can't wait to hear about it!
I ate dinner. Then I watch your videos. Then I'm hungry again. 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 So sorry
Very Nice thanks for your video 🚄🍱🇯🇵sir
8:41 i love this train bento box! Looks so cool!
So amazing! Thanks for showing your wonderful food.
Love the octopus bowl!!
I'm glad I'm not in the train compartment where someone is having hot meals, imagine the smells.
I love each and every single thing the gentleman for the show and I look forward to each and every one.
I live in a major city but there are no Bento Box stores nearby but I'll find one!!!
Coming from someone who won't say no to big 1kg servings, you sure have a great appetite !
Nice :D wish we chould have Bento Boxes aswell here
Glad you liked it! Maybe I should share a bento recipe in a future video?
Pork cutlet!! Yum!
It's more than food it is a feast for the eyes. Definitely it's better to share the good looking art work than to fill the stomach only.
I have to admit, I'm pretty amazed by the quality and attention to detail on display here, and for such low prices too! I definitely plan on travelling by train a ton when I visit Japan for the first time, so I've definitely got to try boxes like these too :)
Incredibly jealous right now ❤ 🍣 🥢
Self warm bento is perfect!
I came from Canada and spent two weeks in beautiful Japan just last month.
We visited 6 different cities and all of our inter-city travel was done on the Shinkansen.
One of the things I always looked forward to was seeing what kind of bento box I could find for that day's travel.
Thank you for bringing back great memories for me.
One of my goals is to visit Japan with my mother! And watching your videos comforts me knowing how amazing, clean and safe Japan is!
These videos are so great!!! Thank you for such a wonderful view into Japanese life!
4:02 It's amazing how the cat scratch marks are all mostly equally horizontal. This cat is very well-coordinated! O_O
he’s not scared of throwing up, throwing up is scared of him 💯
Man, you really are lucky to be born in Japan.
Thank you once again for a fantastic video. Thanks for sharing it with us and let us enjoy the views of the beautiful country that is Japan. Once i saved up enough money i will definitely go for a long Japan holiday, as i do like the culture and the friendly people. To reply on your question in the video - i love seafood. I am from the Netherlands, so seafood is definitely something i am familiar with, as the Netherlands has a seaside in the Western part of our country. Fish like cod, plaice, mackerel, herring, but also crab and shrimp are wildly available in our country. One dish we are known for is salted herring with onions, which nobody foreign seems to like. But here it's a staple and many people like it. It's freshly caught herring, cleaned and then put them in salt to reserve them. ''Soused herring'' for you to look up if you want to see what that is. I really like your video's, keep on filming and i am already looking forward to the next one. Much love 🙂
Thanks for your lovely comment! I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoy my videos and are planning a trip to Japan. It's great to learn about your love for seafood, especially coming from the Netherlands. The salted herring with onions sounds intriguing! I'll definitely look up "Soused herring." Can't wait to share more of Japan with you in my upcoming videos. Much love back to you 🙂

Love Mt Fuji! Thanks for sharing 😊
Fantastic video. I hope to visit Japan some day. Love from 🇬🇧 ❤
Thank you for introducing the persimmon sushi and its history to me.
Very interesting.
Great videos.
Absolutely fascinating. Appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos
Many thanks!
Urchin I have never tried roe is strong the rest looks great. Cant believe you ate that much but it all looked good. I love sea food. Wish we had places around here to buy food like that. Great video. Thanks
Always wanted to visit Japan.
This upload is very appreciated. ❤
Great and interesting content. I enjoyed watching it and loved it once again. Thanks. 👍👍👍😍😍😍
Thanks for the love and support! More exciting content coming soon. 😊
Great video. The bentos look amazing 😊
I love these kinds of videos! looks so yummy and makes me hungry 😂
Thank you for the lovely, peaceful video.
I'm not generally a suchi eater, but I would try the persimmon leaf sushi. I love the concept and the history. And the last bento box with steak and sukiyaki also looked very delicious! I think I would like the food in Japan. Vinegared rice sounds especially good!
All the bento boxes looked so yummy, even the seafood ones that i can not eat! It's amazing how much beauty and detail go into a meal! Makes me feel lazy as someone who does love to cook! Thank you for all the chill and wonderful and fun videos you share with us! It's always something to look forward to! Stay safe and wonderful in your travels!
I love raw fish! Thank you for the great video!
I had never seen persimmon leaf sushi before! What a wonderful Idea. I always love your videos; thank you for sharing!
I live in Australia, but unless you are right on the ocean, seafood is very expensive. I love sushi, especially Nigiri and anything with salmon roe. My nearest Japanese restaurant is a two hour round trip, so I have to satisfy myself with what I can get from my online Japanese grocery store.
Were you perhaps a little hungry today? You ate more on the train than I do in a week😆Anyway, thanks for all the great experiences, greetings from Sweden.
😊thank you for your videos I love Japan ❤ such a beautiful country
You've eat a lot! The octopus one with pot was quite interesting concept.
Thank you for describing the bento boxes.
You really ate well. If its me I barely can finished one bento.
Great video as always! Love learning about your culture through your videos!
Wow the amount of choices for bento boxes is amazing! I would have a hard time choosing which one to buy☺️. Thank you for this unique video today 🙏🏽. I guess you’re pretty full now 😄
Great trip, for that duration of Shinkansen Nozomi trip with the amount of Ekiben, that's crazy. Also that jelly is common in my country
Enjoy my friend!
Here in the UK the train service would discourage passengers from bringing their own food, forcing you to use the catering on board (shit).
❤thank you for making videos! I love seeing you show off the different foods and places to go as I will never experience it myself.❤❤❤
love your videos! We eat jelly and seafood in California ;-)
Really enjoy watching your videos, they're much appreciated. Thank you for your hard work!
you have a big appetite. i would like to see more bento!
Thank you for another wonderfully intriguing film.
I stumbled onto your videos a year or so ago and I must say, I find them very relaxing to watch, as well as entertaining. You asked about the jelly in the bento box, if we have something similar. We do indeed have gelatin snacks/desserts which have actually been around a very long time, over 100 years. Of course back then, they were not shelf stable, nor did they come in many flavors. Now, a question for you. Are you a fan of the old Japanese monster movies, from the '50s and '60s, like Godzilla and Mothra and others of that genre? Any favorites?
As for the chanko meal, I've heard of that before! Max Miller on the Tasting History channel shows how to make it. It's here on TH-cam. So cool that you can get it premade like that, and self heating! In the early 2000s, there was product line of self heating canned coffee, but they don't sell them here anymore. They were perfect for cold Wisconsin winters. I wish we had more self heating foods here. Thank you for the cool video!
Hello from another Max fan!
Excellent wiggly food on the first bento!
It looked like food to me but I was amazed to see the leaf act as a container of sorts still looked good regardless
Awesome train wish we had trains like that.🌍👍🌍💯🌍👏🌍🍀🌍🙏🌍😘🌍🌟🌍🎉🌍
Wow, you ate 6 bento boxes in a row. I feel full after watching you eat 2nd one 😅
Even though I couldn't eat sushi it looks amazing the way it's presented. Bento boxes are fantastic and so healthy. I love that some are self heating, that's so practical! Loved this video and now incredibly hungry 😂❤
The Fuji mount view is wonderful
Love from India 🇮🇳❤️
Thank you again for your Videos, I hope and wish you the best, arigato
I’ve been dreaming of bento boxes. 😂
Bento dreams are the best! Maybe it's a sign I should make a bento-themed video?
@@experience_japan I’ve been looking for Japanese grocery stores near me that sell bento boxes. There are two about an hour from me. I will be going as soon as possible.
This one was more like makbang vlog rather then travel 😅
Bro is living life❤🎉
I enjoyed your videos 😊
Amazing video. This is top content. And now... i want to eat something. 😋
14:11 that would be me lmao (i would have one to put pencils and pens and another one to save spare change)
I love seafood and that bento looks to be the most delicious to be.
Beautiful ❤
Why they don't have food like that here in the US. They do somewhere but I mean the vending machine with cakes ect . Food like that all over. I bet it be a big hit especially for these young kids.😊
In the U.S., food vending machines like those in Japan are less common, but I agree, they would probably be very popular, especially among the younger crowd!
They look nice ❤
Interesting
Are the seats on the shinkansen assigned when you buy your ticket or can you sit wherever you want?
In Brazil we eat fish, but sushi may be counted as a recent add. With the coast we got, is very common shrimp and prawns.
This like dancing beacons TH-cam. This is my favorite.
@17:12...your question about "many people who dislike raw fish, such as sushi"...as a anlgo-canadian I will definitely say yes to that! I can't imagine ever eating raw fish like in sushi or raw meat as in steak tartare. Sorry but if it's not cooked, I'm not eating.
How can you eat so many bento in just a single trip? It is a whole day’s worth of meal 😲
In my part of the united states, the ocean is very far, so seafood is expensive. We still eat a lot of fish, but freshwater fish, like tilapia, catfish, and trout. Interestingly enough, I live in a state that borders the ocean, but it's still a five-hour drive away! America really is a very large country...
Bro, if you eat 10 bento boxes every day, you could eat *EVERY* station box in just two years! Do you accept this quest?
> YES
> ALSO YES
😂👍
How does it get hot by pulling the string?
When you pull the string on certain self-heating bento boxes, it activates a chemical reaction that generates heat. This process warms up the meal inside.
The Boots meal deal of Japanese trains
I love seafood, sashimi, and salmon roe. No clue if it's just a personal preference or that I'm half Asian.
What kind of watch have you been using?
that train bento box i think is for kids due to the small portions it has? lol the jelly too is famous in our country (phils.) i loved that as a kid 🤗 these bento boxes are making me hungry 😅
i just imagine someone watching him eating bento after bento
I tried japanese nissini cup noodles and the ones from europe. The ingredients are cheaper in the europe version and also the taste is diffrent. They're manufactured by nissini hungary for europe😅
Thanks ❤
Thank you for the video.
Those were a lot of bentos. I don't know if I could have eaten that much... Least of all during so little time... I would very likely feel ill from all that food.
About your question with seafood: Germany has only a relatively small part towards the ocean, so seafood is rather uncommon here.
I have seen seafood in many animes and such and therefore wonder what it tastes like. So when I had the opportunity, I tried out sashimi, but it's not a taste I'm used to. And I didn't enjoy it back then, despite the quality. Maybe if I get used to it, it could become something I enjoy. But so far, it wasn't.
I also wanted to try out tokoyaki for the same reason. But I don't know yet, if I would like it.
Can you please show us vegan japanese food be it ramen, teriyaki or teppanyaki or shushi any time soon?😊
