According to the story of the game In late 1979 and early 1980 president Arstotzka seized the Kolechia military port because according to President Vadim Vazowsky (President Arstotzka) Kolechia did not have the right to have a port very close to the capital city of Arstotzka and was threatened, President Kolechia Moltov Kirdiv did not receive and send troops sea to seize the port belonging to Kolechia in the Arstotzka region. Arstotzka responded to this as an act of war and the 1979-1982 war broke out between arstotzka and kolechia.
Several years later on November 2, 1982 Arstotzka and Kolechia entered into a ceasefire and negotiated a peaceful war in the country of Obristan which was mediated by the president of Obristan, Ahmad Abdul Vazimsky, and finally the two countries made peace but not completely.
Arstotzka people demonstrate in the capital asking President Vadim to repatriate his family in Kolechia. Finally, President Vadim Vazowsky and other ministers agreed to open the only border post in the city of Grestlin, a city divided into two. West Grestlin is owned by Kolechia, while East Grestlin is owned by Arstotzka. A veteran of the Arstotzka war, Sergei Posev, ended up serving as an inspector for immigration officers at the border for the needs of his family and curing his sick son.
Sergei Posev has to go into detail because the Kolechia terror group that wanted to take revenge on Arstotzka disguised himself as an ordinary civilian and tried to bribe and threaten Porsev. Terror after terror continued to be carried out by Kolechia terrorists to attack Arstotzka, Finally Kolechia president Moltov Kirdiv sent several soldiers to the border town of Grestlin with the aim of maintaining security, but to his surprise President Moltov who still didn't like Arstotzka led the Kolechia terrorists to make a scene in Arstotzka so that its citizens did not immigrate to Arstotzka.
Many other citizens have been trapped in Kolechia since the Kolechia and Arstotzka conflicts, many people from various countries cannot enter and leave Kolechia due to emergency regulations by President Moltov Kirdiv with the aim that Arstotzka's eyes cannot enter, but this has an impact on tourists in Kolechia who came from various countries including the republic, Obristan, the United Federation, and agreria.
