Take a bow 🙇♀️ you have all the top floor decluttered. That’s amazing 🤩 Well done on doing your taxes each month for each country. I think you’re always on top of your game and you are definitely being too hard on yourself when you say you got nothing done. You walk Jovie, you feed your family and you make content for us and so much more. Be kind and gentle with yourself. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏👍💪🙏💐🐕🦺
Instead of dusting my plants, I would put them in the bathtub and hold them sort of at an angle and spray the leaves off with the shower sprayer and let dry in the tub. You can also do this outside in the good weather.
I appreciate your honesty. So far this year has been ok, but there's been a fair bit of 'one step forward, two steps back.' I will say I've gotten really good at understanding my energy level and picking tasks to accomplish that fit that energy as much as possible, but always doing something. That approach keeps the momentum moving forward. Happy Belated Valentine's Day to you and your furry helper! 🧡
I love that you named your little fiddly fig Nero! 😄 That's a great name! 👍 and it reminds me of the dog sitting with a cuppa whilst everything is on fire and the dog says, "This is fine". 😅
January was such a crap month for us here lots of health issues. We went on week without issues and now had sick kids again this week. I am loosing my mind. I have only had a handful of weeks we actually had kids at school and entire week so I could get things done. I feel like I am just playing catch up or dragging something heavy up a hill. I really am getting frustrated. I just wanna get crap done! Life keeps getting in the way.
I've had a lot of ups and downs lately. For example, the other day I stayed in bed until mid-afternoon and told my partner, "I just don't feel like participating in today." (PMS was involved with why I was feeling so down.) I then went on to complete a big task that I had been procrastinating on for weeks and feeling a huge sense of accomplishment and like it was a super productive day. I've always been a night owl but get in full hibernation mode during these winter months and shut down when it gets dark out so my window to do household chores is pretty small.
It seems January has been lousy for so many of us... I've been super sick (I call it the bronchitis of the century), only starting to regain some energy. So I feel like I have a million things to do, big big reset needed here!
I do have a cousin who lives in Cincinnati that is into plants so they may be able to take on your plant friends when you move if you can't bring everyone. I think they may have pets though so( not sure) if any are hazardous. May be an option if you are stuck. I haven't asked her but if need be let me know. You may have some neighbors who are plant lovers that would adopt them too. You could also post on market place closer to the move. People get excited about plants.
I have always seen January is a month which is recovering from the holidays. This coming week I plan to do spring cleaning. Hope you had a nice Valentine's Day. Take care.😊
We have the same washer & dryer. Also i never washed my plants i did start giving them a shower. Lol i feel a lot freer decluttering and using a list thats organize to check off on. Saves us money to. Thank you for all the great ideas and advice you give us through your experiences.
Amazing ordering your TP etc. for a year in advance ... im thinking of things like toothpaste , shampoo yada yada not like prepping per se but things you use on a regular basis. Brilliant !
I was dusting each leaf of my lilly. Then i put it in the shower and gave the foliage a light shower which seemed to work, dust removed and leaves all glossy. Left the pot in the shower for a while to drain any excess water away
I am trying to wash dishes and laundry in the morning consistently. We always have dishes from the night before despite my best efforts. And we always have laundry that can be cleaned. I really want to try to knock those things out even if I'm leaving for the day that way I feel like I did something productive for the home if the day goes to sh*t. Because most days do. Like non of them go to plan when there is one. And other days I am afraid to even plan something.
Jovie is so adorable really enjoying and demonstrating how much she likes your vacuuming celebrating the feeling of a freshly cleaned carpet! Cute! My dog “helps” me get things done too 🐾❤️
My male cat still hates and fears the vacuum (his sister watches it with her most arrogant facial expression) after nearly 15 years . . . Although: He acted a hero once, fled first, then turned round and *slapped* his enemy with full motivation 👍🏻😂! Of course he ran off immediately afterwards, totally shocked by his own courage 😻
Ugh - pre grieving for me was even worse than actual grief. My daughter moved across the country last week and I was crying harder in September and the week she left than I have after she was gone. You'll figure out your plants and it will be okay.
I don’t think bio security will allow you to take plants to another country I know in Australia you absolutely can’t bring plant matter or soil in. What stylus pen do you use on your IPad? How do you find it?
Different countries have different rules so I'll have to do a lot more research. But even if it were allowed I'm not sure they'd survive the shipping process. They'd be bashed about a bit, and would need to survive without water for a while. But we'll see! I use the Apple Pencil with my iPad. I had previously tried a much cheaper stylus but when I tested the Apple Pencil I knew the price was worth it because it's FAR superior.
@@HowToGYST 😂 yeah. February sucks too. Here's to March. That is my birth month. 🙂 And maybe we will get some of that Irish luck coming our way. 🌈💚🍀 Tell the leprechauns to send some of that gold and rainbows our way! 😂 And some sunshine consistently too. 🌞🌞🌞🌞 This gloomy winter I am over. We had a taste and I want some more.
I'm sorry to hear you've not been doing so well. I hope you'll have better days, soon. sounds like your reset, helps. 😊👍 I'm happy to hear that there's hope for Nero.🪴 I don't know how to sew properly. I can't even get a button to stay on. 🪡 Yeah, it's so hard for me to make plans... because so many things are unpredictable and stuff.

Thanks so much, Mary! 😊 It was definitely a productive month. Just a sad one.

Me too! I round them up and put them in the shower, it’s so much faster and helps prevent spider mites too!
You are so motivated even though you don't feel like it.🎉
I always know I'll feel better when it's done.
Congratulations on getting the top floor of your home totally decluttered! That is something to celebrate!
It really is! I'm thrilled! And I've started on the main floor now too. Just a tiny section but it's a start!

Definitely a lot of recovering to be done. 😴😂

Yup, I did it for lots of things - toothpaste, laundry detergent, hand soaps, etc. Fully stocked! We're very lucky to have the space for it.
I was dusting each leaf of my lilly. Then i put it in the shower and gave the foliage a light shower which seemed to work, dust removed and leaves all glossy. Left the pot in the shower for a while to drain any excess water away
I used to do that but now I have too many plants. It would take much longer to carry them all to the shower and then put them all back again. 😂
Like that sewing kit (with a tray). I have a small one, too. 😊

Great video❤. Other people's opinions are none of my business😂
Easy to say, need to do, but very hard to add to your daily life when you deal with online comments.

Jovie's very confused by the vacuum. She doesn't know what to make of it at all. 😂

I didn't realize you are moving to Ireland. When?
We're hoping to move home in the next few years.
Darning socks is also on my list of things to learn this month. Weird!

Laura, how big is that washing machine. I have been wondering for a few months, but this seems a good time to ask.

It sucks that you won’t be able to take your plants back to Ireland with you. Do you think you could sell them or give them his gifts?
I'll likely gift them, yes. But still holding out hope I could somehow ship them!
Sorry your January was crappy too. ❤
Oh it got MUCH worse in February. 🤪
