The Cinelog Process | The Ultimate Workflow for Magic Lantern Raw & Adobe After Effects

The Cinelog Process is a post production workflow to speed up importing, grading, and exporting Magic Lantern Raw footage using After Effects and Adobe Camera Raw. Benefits to using ACR to debayer your ML Raw footage is increased low-level detail and sharpness, and reduced luma and chroma noise. Use Cinelog camera profiles and FilmConvert to easily color balance your footage with natural skin tones.
The process is named after Cinelog DCP, a logarithmic camera profile developed for Magic Lantern cameras by Andy Perring and released in 2014.
I’ve included links to download the software I use for this process below. You’ll need your own copy of Adobe After Effects and FilmConvert Nitrate.
