The Cinelog Process | The Ultimate Workflow for Magic Lantern Raw & Adobe After Effects
มุมมอง 4886 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Cinelog Process is a post production workflow to speed up importing, grading, and exporting Magic Lantern Raw footage using After Effects and Adobe Camera Raw. Benefits to using ACR to debayer your ML Raw footage is increased low-level detail and sharpness, and reduced luma and chroma noise. Use Cinelog camera profiles and FilmConvert to easily color balance your footage with natural skin t...

Inspiring shots!
Thank you!
Hi, is this crop mood of July better than Danne build?
The July crop mood build is only for the EOS M2. This video was shot last year on the 2023.Aug19 build for EOS M.
Great job! This beast of a camera has slowly becoming my A-Cam. And I have a FUJIFILM and a Full Frame Sony a7s m1.
Thank you! There's something about the image quality of the M that makes shooting and color grading very enjoyable and satisfying.
Nice!
Thank you!
Great shots! Very nostalgic but still sharp with great color tones. 1 Question though, which mode is the 1620P? Is it under the 3x3 mode or the 1x1 mode? Thanks
Thanks! 1620p is a 4:3-only 1x1 mode, but available only in Danne's custom crop mood build: bitbucket.org/Dannephoto/magiclantern_hg_02/downloads/

HEHHEEHEHEHEHEHEEHEHEEHEEHEHH good video but long so i didnt watch it all the way 😆😎
Once Again Vincent, Amazing Colors!
Thank you so much!
nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
1) Dane's build 5.7K 15 stops dynamic range with 14 bit 2) Cinelog color preset on camera 3) MLVapp Apple ProRes 4444 4) Davinci 5)Stabilizer 6) Filmconvert Nitrate 7) Export as Apple ProRes 4444 QX. Anything else and there was no point in shooting with 15 stops
It's incredible how much information is packed so greatly in 30 min. So sharp. Excellent content 😁 Great job my friend.
That's very kind of you. Thank you!
Thanks for this! I’m wondering if the Adobe Camera Raw preset you’ve made can just be shared as is, or converted to a log preset in Premiere or AfterEffects. This can be helpful for loading into the files of MLVApp as a log option. I’m trying to envision this without plugins and software jumps if your CinelogDCP .xamp files are good enough to share and apply on other platforms directly.
The Cinelog files are camera profiles in .dcp format, so different from xmp. Part of the advantage of rendering from After Effects is it uses the raw debayer algorithm from Adobe Camera Raw.
@@twentytabs is there not a file you can just drag and drop into Ae or Pr, with cDNGs exported from MLVAPP?
Sorry, I'm not familiar with such a file. I recommend using MLVFS to generate your cDNG sequences instead of exporting from MLVApp.
@@twentytabs could you upload your .xmp files from 13:30 in the description?
There's little value in that xmp file because the settings are all at default. It's the camera profile that gives ML footage that log profile, not the xmp. Hope that makes sense. Trust me, I've used and refined this process for 10 years. 😅
😎
woaaaahhhh coooooool 😎
Thanks Sofia!
Great work Vincent! Looking forward to seeing more from this 14bit combo…
Thanks! Keep an eye out for more...
Great shots! 5D looking amazing.
Thanks! The 5mk3 even in 1080p still impresses.
@@twentytabs no doubt! I still use mine all the time.
These are great. So much credit to the lens choices!
Thank you! These lenses are great for run and gun with respect to the sensor format.
