I’ve been playing for almost 25 years… and I remember what it was like wanting to learn this basic stuff. And not finding people to help. I’ve been blessed to grow so much since then. But for those who need this kind of explanation, thank you for taking the time to explain strumming and chord formations all the way down to finger placement. When I first saw Phil's "Worship from Home" video of Living Hope, and saw the inversions and shapes he was using, I had to know them. Contacted my son, an excellent guitarist. "Dad, he's in E flat, and so on. And I started zooooooming in on Phil's fingers to get it right.
So when I saw THE TUTORIAL, I was out of my chair!

Thanks so much for this video, Phil! I typically play this song with regular D chords. I'm excited to try and use these chords next time. The voicings are really cool! When I have another guitarist with me, I try to give them the easier chords, but I don't always know the best voicings to compliment what they're playing. I'm looking forward to using these!

If I was a beginner, I definitely would be lost at a lot of what was mentioned. Lol
10+ years playing and I'm still a beginner as far a skill level goes, but I understand some of the basic concepts.
