Hey Jeremy:
I bought the FlashForge Adventurer 5M when you uploaded the video of the price reduction to $299 - I have been really busy with the printer since; I even used the ELEGOO Rapid PLA+ (great filament). 0:06 I am really having fun with it, using different PLA filaments, printing various toys, kit cards for my grandkids. Now with your advice to print via WiFi using Orca Slicer, I’m going to be even more busy (though the Mrs. may not be too happy - I’ll just have to print items for her as well - LOL) . You are the only person I can see that is putting extra effort the make the 5M more useable and enjoyable - keep up the good work and Thanks (Frank S.)
Thank you! I like Elegoo's Rapid PLA+ as well. Their matte filament is nice too.
I just moved my 5M to the "printer closet" aka our master closet, which is filled to the brim now. I had some issues getting it to reconnect to our WiF after moving it so far from the router, but it's working now. Thank you for making helpful videos about this printer. Beyond "5M Pro" review vids, there's not much content for us non-pro consumers. So I appreciate you taking the time to make these helpful videos.
Hello, same as here to, seem that distance from router and the printer big problems for connection. at first after updated last version it okay, but now its start again, cannot reconnect to the printer...any idea? or should reset the factory setting and re-update the firmware again?
What a welcome video. I have had the 5M Pro since January, updating from a very old Adventurer 3, that is handed down to one of my sons. The missing Wi-Fi upload from Orca has had me using FlashPrint since day one. It is okay, but that is just about all that can be said about it. For me, coming from PrusaSlicer and all before it [Slic3r anyone?) I welcome moving to Orca and finally being able to make use of the Wi-Fi upload that means I can once again unify my various 3D printers around a single slicer.
Nice work with this video demonstratio of the RC. Very clear and detailed. Thank you. Subscribed 🙂
Hey Jeremy - this is Frank S.
Once again you came thru with really great information. I upgraded to Orca V2.0 RC just to be able send prints
to the 5M via Wi-Fi. You and Orca DID NOT disappoint - I had to stop myself after sending about 5 test prints to the 5M. I’m going to check out the other added features included with V2.0 this weekend.
Keep up the great work your doing - Best to you and yours.
Hey Frank, no need to use the RC (release candidate) version anymore. The 2.0 release has been out now.
Thanks for finally helping get this working! Great Video!
Amazing video! Agree with the comments here youre literally making this flashforge experience so much better with all these helpful videos! Thank you!
Thanks! Glad I could help!
Mate, you're a legend!
Great video! Thanks.
Thanks a lot!
Thank you great help
Огромное тебе русское спасибо за видео! Теперь я нашел где найти IP-адрес принтера!
Thank you!
Молодцом!
Jeremy, love your work. I agree that I've had better luck by leveling the bed before each print. There must be gcode we can insert in the start code for the printer (Flashforge AD5M) in Orca that will do this automatically when we upload and print. Do you have an idea what that would be? Thanks
Thanks for the kind words! On my Neptune 4, I've used the BED_MESH_CALIBRATE command after G28 to run the bed leveling. But I don't know if that'll work for the 5M. Frankly, I'm scared to try it out of fear of the nozzle ramming into the bed or something. Maybe I'll reach out to Flashforge and see what they say.
Well, I asked Flashforge and they said they didn't have any suitable gcode to use for auto bed leveling....🥺
has anyone got the camera to work in the 5m pro with orca?
Sadly it does not work for me it just refuses to connect even though it's authorized everywhere. 😢
Great video although since the new update from Flashforge of my printers firmware Everything is screwed up. I do use Orca slicer now. (got it to work) but still having issues with my wifi and camera
I've been reading about those issues. I've been fortunate enough to not encounter them. The mods in the Flashforge Facebook group started a forum to gather issues for the company. Hopefully they'll get a fix out soon.
EDIT: There's a firmware update! Orca WiFI worked great. Waiting to see now how the print turns out.
Had anyone else had an issue pushing through WiFi? OrcaSlicer finds my 5M but it won't upload despite being right next to it. I've seen some issues with the latest firmware update causing errors.
For ref, my file size is 50 MB.
Yesterday my wifi with my printer worked perfectly, but now the software doesn't find my printer :( I guess it's the software update
So you can no longer set bed leveling from Orca Slicer? What happened to the Print Plate tab?
I'm not sure about other printer brands, but there's no leveling option for the Flashforge Adventurer 5M through regular OrcaSlicer. You'll need to download the Orca-Flashforge slicer instead to get that option. Orca-Flashforge also lets you choose different plate types.
@@FigureFeedback After watching your video I tried but not even the 1.8 version of Orca Flashforge has it. A5MP
What to do when it gives the error that it can’t complete transferring over the network when uploading?
I'm not sure because I haven't gotten that error. The file size may be too large. Or you can try deleting some files that are stored on the printer and see if that helps.
im having the issue using orca slicer on 5m starts uploading to print then says error conecction issues but i click the test and it says working fine.. anyone know?
Are you uploading a large file around 100mb or so? I only experienced that error with big files.
Where can I find the file for the tool holder?
I knew I forgot something! Here's the link: wiki.flashforge.com/en/knowledge_corner/printer-mod-and-diy
Scroll down on that page to find the FF accessory toolbox.
anyone having issue not starting ?
So weird i was literally trying to do this haha
Good timing!
@@FigureFeedback my issue was that I had the Beta version installed where Flashforge doesn't show up on the list on Orca.
